Guys these are probably the best donuts I've had in a long time. Similar to fractured prune but they have very unique names and flavors such as rainbow fart and yo mom lol. My favorite donut was the s'mores one. The creme brûlée was good as well! But it had a little too much filling for me. Sugar donut was good to balance out the flavors. Recently Friday's have become a day my family dreads. Of course we can't walk around all doom and gloom so Friday's after our daughters medical treatments. I once again made my way to this great establishment. Below is what I was able to sample. Sin Crunch (See previous reviews for thoughts) Berry Cheesecake - This was not bad. There was too much of a cream cheese taste here. 666 - This was the name of the honey mustard and onion I previously reviewed. I was just unaware of the name, same thoughts apply. The Nest - This donut was covered in chocolate sprinkles and robin eggs. It was an original and good tasting donut. Blackberry Lime (See previous review for thoughts). White Walker - This consisted of a blueberry filling along with cream cheese. This one I could not get behind because of the powerful cream cheese taste. The blueberry could hardly be tasted. Mexican Hot Chocolate - This was a chocolate icing donut with a partial marshmallow. It was tasty. The combination of marshmallow and chocolate was ideal. Your Mom - I believe this was the name. This was another chocolate icing donut with peanut butter on top. I thought this particular donut as a whole was dry. Fluffer Nutter - This was not a donut, but a condensed version of a banana and marshmallow sandwich. There appeared to be banana chips with a marshmallow glaze on top. My cousin told me great things about these doughnuts and boy did she not lie! We visited when they were closed (we thought they were open) but the lady still invited us in since she had many leftover choices from the day. The doughnuts we chose were: - Cookies and creme - Samoa - Marshmallow coconut - Fruity pebbles - Glazed - Cinnamon toast crunch ALL and when I say ALL doughnuts were amazing! They're pretty big too so you can eat half now and half later. My favorite was definitely the samoa just because i've never had a doughnut that replicates the girl scout cookie! First time I went there the customer service was excellent. Nice little building. No seating. The day I went it was packed. Had people in line outside the door waiting to get in. The workers know they're beautiful because they will ask if you want to take a picture of your order before they tape up the box. I like how they're open early enough (7AM weekdays) to grab a box before your office starts the workday and how they have lots of art inside. The first part of this review is for their customer service. I messaged to find out their walk up hours because they weren't posted anywhere, and they told me their hours for that next day (Friday). As it turned out, I couldn't make it on Friday but went on Saturday morning instead, assuming their hours were the same. Imagine my surprise when I arrived just before 6am and waited for 10-15 minutes and the shop was still closed. I messaged them and glad they responded pretty quickly, but they told me they didn't open until 8am on Saturdays. I expressed that they ought to have their hours on their IG and website....and they had the nerve to reply that they did! (Never mind that a friend who thought she could stop by for me also couldn't find their hours posted anywhere). So trying to be helpful, I sent them a screen record of me scrolling through their website AND of their IG page, and no hours. Did they thank a caring customer? Nope, they said "We open at 8am Saturday Sunday morning and Friday at 6am . You could have called we have been here all night we get here at 9pm to start . I can't help till 8". I was so frustrated by this point because they were missing the point: they didn't have hours posted and when a customer let them know, they didn't even apologize or say thank you. Anyhow, to this day their website still doesn't list their hours. Their IG page has been updated though. So you're welcome. The second part of this review is for their doughnuts. I went back on Sunday and ordered 6. I was really looking forward to berry cheesecake, but it was just ok, not sweet enough for my liking. The other specialty doughnuts weren't bad. I don't live in Baltimore so I don't feel the need to make a special trip just to go back. And especially because of the poor customer experience via IG. ***update after I received a "compliment" (hmmm..why not just reply to the review?) from someone at the shop; pic attached*** No, not mad at all. And no, didn't expect them to open early. Simply advised on posting hours and general customer service. I've been wanting to come here ever since I heard about it on 98 Rock. My friend and I arrived on a Sunday and the place was closed with a sign saying "Sold Out". Now I really wanted to try it. There's really no where to sit, mainly just takeout. I saw the display of donuts and when it was my time to order I froze. I just pointed to the six donuts on the last row of the display. I can't even remember all six flavors. The wait wasn't too bad maybe 5 minutes. I was under impression donuts were already made like DK. But alas I was wrong. I think they make it fresh in their kitchen, hence everyone waiting. I only ate one of the donuts, the chocolate one which had a cream filling. It was good. Nothing spectacular. The rest of the donuts I gave to my coworkers. They said it tasted good but they mentioned it was too much cream. The price was between $3-4 each donut. Would I go back? We were at federal hill area to celebrate yelp Baltimore elite badge celebration. Since this was my first time at Federal Hill, I was interested in walking around the neighborhood to see some interesting restaurants, bars or local business. On my way I came across this wonderful women who directed me to Diablo Doughnuts as she said that they serve the best doughnuts in Baltimore period. So with all the hype surrounding this place, I had to check this one out. Unfortunately, it was around 2:50 pm on Saturday afternoon and to my disappointment they were getting ready to close. So I was left with a couple of doughnut options and chocolate milk. I tried their honey glazed ginger doughnut and mint flavored hot chocolate. The doughnut was especially every soft and delicious. So I've been wanting to try this place since before moving to Maryland almost two years ago...Let me preface this review in saying I was so scared these were going to be overhyped. I have yet to find really amazing donuts since moving here despite reading a ton of glowing reviews. I have to say these donuts are TO DIE FOR. Legitimately the very best donut I've had in Maryland, hands down. The frostings are all perfectly fluffy and not overly sweet and both the cake and yeast donuts had the best texture. After wanting to check them out for ages, but never finding the time to make it to their prior location, I was excited to discover that Diablo Doughnuts was moving just a short drive from my house. I ordered 4 doughnuts this morning -- the Captain Chesapeake (Think Salted Caramel, but instead of Salt, Baltimore's favorite, Old Bay), the Berry Cheesecake (Cheesecake Frosting + Strawberries), the Creme Brûlée, and the Baltimore Scream (Boston Cream). We loved them all, but I think our favorites were the Creme Brûlée and the Captain Chesapeake. Service was fast and friendly, and the shop is just the right size to get your treats and go. My wife and I have been splitting our doughnuts throughout the day, and they're phenomenal. They're big, dense and delicious, and yes, very much designed for splitting. The toppings taste fresh and the dough itself is truly delightful. I appreciate all employees wearing masks and the adorable chalk-drawn donuts down the sidewalk to maintain safe distance between customers. From the outside, this place looked so cool! Brightly painted with donuts on the wall and on the inside, there's lots of skateboards that have nice designs on them. As I was waiting in line looking at my various options for donuts, I noticed that there were fruit flies flying all around the donuts and landing on them... then the server would proceed to hand the donut to whatever customer ordered it. Maybe it's just a me thing, but I was completely turned off by this, so when it was my turn to order, I just snagged a nitro cold brew coffee instead. I asked if they could leave room for cream a sugar. When I got to the sugar station, I noticed a dead fruit fly in the sugar container, so naturally, I opted out of sugar in my coffee and just added some vanilla creamer. Tip: They recently moved and are located in Federal Hill not Fells Point. First visit, definitely won't be the last. I ended up with 7 doughnuts and it was major surprise to which ones I liked the most and least. Here is the order I would put them in: 1. Sugar: so airy and fluffy I could die 2. Blackberry Lime: tart and delicious 3. Chesapeake Caramel: really weird but worked, would recommend trying it, savory and sweet flavor profile 4. Cinnamon Toast Crunch: cinnamon-y like the cereal but the little flakes of cereal were soggy 5. Samoa: ok so it tasted like the Girl Scout cookie but oddly it just wasn't good, the coconut elements were really chewy and I think it needed more chocolate drizzle 6. Maple Bacon: no maple flavor and the bacon was chewy and cold 7. Great doughnuts every time! They put a lot of love, care and great flavor into their food. They usually sell out of their doughnuts so don't wait til the last minute. We like the panty dropper, the crepe brûlée, the new el Barto was good. My daughter likes the blueberry basil and sinncrunch. The cold brew is terrific and strong. The people are always cool who work here. They have tried their best during the pandemic and been doing online preorders and recently have some available for walk ups with a new window service.
