This place has changed. I would never come back and never recommend. Terrible experience…read more Alexa is the meanest, rudest front desk staff I've ever encountered. It is mainly because of her I'm not returning. She and some other staff there create an extremely toxic environment. Something is very wrong at this office. My body didn't feel safe here and I didn't feel safe emotionally. My concern with this office and staff is someone could be injured by unskilled, insensitive or unprofessional practitioners. When people are recovering from an injury and receiving bodywork, they are extra sensitive. Patients should be treated with kindness, tenderness and care. That's not what I experienced here. I used to see a favorite massage therapist there before Covid, 2017. She's the reason I came back. Fast forward to 2024. She's since left. But because of her I came back expecting the same level of excellent care. Instead, I found myself walking on eggshells every time I went there. Not a way you want to be treated when you are healing from an injury. When I cut ties with the office I requested my treatment notes for my records. They said it would take a few days. It took them 2 weeks. And that's only because I followed up with them. Then I was asked which office I would be going to after theirs. That's none of their business. The massage therapists I had were unskilled. Their standards seem low for hiring LMTs. One new male therapist, Alex pressed down on my tailbone for several seconds very hard. He kept pressing on my bones and not my muscles. He should not have been graduated from school. He's not ready to work in the field, imo. I switched massage therapists and the woman was slightly better, but said in order to keep herself from talking she had to put her ear bud in and listen to a podcast while she worked on me. That's not being present with your client. This is also a safety issue. Your attention should not be divided when working on someone's body. Instead she was overly talkative. The last straw was when she suggested I might have a brain eating amoeba since I told her I was having headaches. And that someone she knew of just died from that. (Not something you want to hear from a therapist touching your head). Spoiler alert: I'm still alive. And I was going there for car accident treatment. One of the chiros also demanded to know where I worked while adjusting me and said comments like, "So what do you do all day?". This was my first time seeing him. This was Dr. Geissman. They really have no chill here. The chiropractor assistant woman was also extremely rude, rough and unprofessional. I observed the front desk manager being very nasty with the front desk girls. In summary there is a lack of sensitivity, kindness, training and professionalism amongst the staff I encountered here that is unacceptable for a healing environment. I think there are some good staff here, but the rough ones ruin it for everyone. I will never be back. Would never recommend. Please train staff better. Have higher standards for LMTs. Front desk staff girl especially needs sensitivity and etiquette training. Don't pry into people's personal lives while you're working on them. Speak life not death when you're touching someone. I give one star for a clean and attractive office space and good parking.

Delta Spine and Sportcare, located inside the In-Shape City gym, is a branch of the Brentwood…read moreOffice (recently voted "Best of Brentwood") with the same name. You do not have to be a member of the gym to receive their excellent care but if you like to work out and maintain your optimum physical potential this is a great place to do both. Dr, Matt Kamerzell is highly trained and deeply caring and I would recommend anyone with severe pain or car accident injuries to see him.

To sum up my experiences with Dr. Youn:…read more 1) Unprofessional and incompetent office staff: Appointment was canceled and they didn't notify me. I went to check in and that's when I was told that they had canceled and I would need to reschedule. 2) Doctor is not thorough: When he finally did see me, he recommended some inserts and sloughed off my calluses. That's a good start, but in comparison, the new podiatrist that I now see ordered X-rays for me, examined my bunions, and answered questions about foot care as I age and with my underlying conditions. 3) Condescending, arrogant bedside manner: He made no secret of his disdain for me as a girl mom, not once but twice. "You're having another girl? Are you OK with that? Did you want to have girls? Does your husband want girls?"

I escorted my patient in to see Dr. Youn today. This was the second visit. The first visit was…read moreokay but this second visit was degrading and his comments were totally unprofessional. My patient directed me to ask Dr. Youn about possibly giving him some prescribed pain medication. I take the same medication for pain and when my patient asked me if he could ask Dr. Youn for the same medication I thought it would be okay to ask. So when I mentioned it to Dr. Youn, he proceeded to accuse me of asking for the medication for my patient so I could have it for myself. Then he started to lecture us about how he has to MAKE SURE that my patient isn't asking for the medication to give to me. Dr. Youn kept on in an accusatory manner and at one point told us that he has access to the DEA website to research whether or not we are having several doctors prescribe the same medication for us. Basically accusing myself and my patient of being lying criminals. I understand that medical professionals have to be cautious when prescribing medications but accusations of lying is not something that should be said to a patient. My patient is a man in his 90's. He has a lot of pain when he walks even with a cane. I have worked in the medical field for many years and have been trained in proper bedside manner. Dr. Youn needs to learn that the number one rule to proper bedside manner is to NOT make the patient or their caregiver feel accused of criminalistic behavior involving asking about medication.

I cannot say that the company is CRAP, BUT I can say that the customer service and willingness to…read morework with patients is horrible. I see people talking about having virtual appointments all over the country. I am currently home shopping and in between two cities that are 4.3 hours apart and residing in a hotel with my family. I received a call from Hanger clinic about me being referred by my surgeon the day after I left Antioch in search of a new home. I explained that I was moving and where I was located. The lady said oh we have a Hanger Clininc that there too. I asked if I could see them and she gave me the number to the Bakerfield location. So I made arrangements with the local clinic and had my appointment. I was fitted with braces for each knee and told they would be order should be back in a week or two. When the braces arrived the local office said well we are not contracted with your insurance. You will have to visit the store in Antioch. I'm thinking but you have another store in another city this can be worked out. Nope!! How insensitive, uncaring and irresponsible it is to demand that I or any patient visit in person during the pandemic, yet alone drive, drive 4.3 hours (each way) to your office in order to pick up MUCH NEEDED Knee braces that I was fitted for at a different location in the same city I'm moving to. I would have hoped for a little more concern and understanding for the patient as well as your staff during the covid-19 pandemic. Especially, when they are being paid for, and are not free, it's not charity. They are being paid for by an insurance company. In addition, It's not like the cost of working with your patients is coming out of your paycheck. Heck, think of the last time you needed someone or a company to work with you! But instead, I get told No way to order with me. You have to come in (drive 4.3 hours each way) to be fitted all over again for the same braces. I was fitted at another location. Bakerfield, but since my insurance doesn't contract with that location, I am forced to drive back to Antioch for a set of knee braces. Well, if you are the same company with a different location, you can work between your offices for certain circumstances. You would think they are made of Gold the way you are treating me about getting them. Funny part is that I received a letter stating that the insurance approved and paid for them already, what gives? When I asked about making some other arrangements, I explained that I was fitted here in Bakersfield and if they are ordering the same braces then maybe your company can make things a little easier for me by shipping them here. But instead I was met with a precise nonchalant no. Despite being exposed already. I will never recommend nor will I refer anyone to this horrible attitude of a place that would rather endanger a patients life than to figure a way to work with them. As a former business owner, I know that you can make exceptions. I belive you just DON'T CARE to. Which is cool, but if that's the case then Everyone needs to know How Much you DON'T Care before they decide to visit your facilities. Ps. I'm one of those "At Risk Adults with underlying health issues, so covid-19 is super serious to me!!
