I had a wonderful experience at Diamond Back Massage with Tracy. Upon arriving, you are asked to call so the door will be unlocked for you. I called and Tracy immediately picked up and I was inside. She asked me to remove my shoes and place on some shoes that were provided at the front. After that, she sat me down to do a quick intake. We spoke briefly for her to get an understanding of why I was seeking her services and we headed to the massage room. Tracy was great - she's very knowledgeable, great at conversation and made me feel super relaxed. As I was getting my massage she was teaching me a lot about my body! Some of the stuff I knew and some I learned, like how I favor my left side, making it a lot tighter. She focused on trigger points and the meridian points on my body and explained which organs/parts of the body they represented. I opted to add on the Hot Stones to my treatment for the day. I left feeling refreshed and very well taken care of. Also - not to mention, Tracy's spot is soooo beautiful and relaxing. She has a ton of plants in the front room & the second I walked in, I smelled the incense she was burning and complimented the smell. Extremely unprofessional and rude! They are located next to a strip club and have the audacity to have a sign on the door that says "don't knock instead call our number to be let inside". When you call the number even when you are there for your scheduled appointment they don't answer the phone forcing you to feel extremely awkward standing outside next to a strip joint! Oh and don't even think about calling the number on the SUV (862-224-0953) that they have parked usually within close proximity to the shop, you will not be greeted kindly. The mother will answer the phone with a rude "hello" and if you don't start speaking within the first 2 seconds she will hang up on you. Once you call back and hurriedly get out that you're a paying customer her tone will COMPLETELY change while she gives you the dumbest excuse that you are there too early and they expects clients to only be 5 minutes early. This place is a complete joke and I will NEVER be back! Save yourself some time, money and embarrassment by standing outside of a dump like this and just don't go! BE WARNED BEFORE ORDERING/BOOKING HERE: Ordering Groupon with this place was a very negative, annoying, time-wasting experience.This lady has no scruples and doesn't gaf if you lose your money because of her. I had to call 7 times including 5 different business days just to finally reach someone to try to schedule a massage I already paid for, because they apparently almost never answer the phone (including on Wednesday and Thursday when I also called). BTW groupon policy is that you can't get a refund after 3 days so that's extremely irresponsible on their part. And I was explicitly told on the phone that they have a $20 minimum "mandatory tip" policy outside of what I already paid Groupon. Some of these exploitative Groupon businesses use additional surprise charges to hedge the actual Groupon discount lol. ----- Response to "Response from the Owner": The owner blatantly lied in her response to my review (below). I called back after reading their response and spoke with Tracy (the owner and therapist) who said some aggressive contradictory nonsense before refusing to cancel through Groupon, refusing to schedule my appointment because I said I wouldn't pay an additional $20 minimum mandatory tip, talking over me, and then aggressively hanging up on me. During the call, Tracy confirmed what I originally wrote (which she denied and claimed that I "fabricated" in her response below), which is that they tell people that they have to pay a "minimum $20 tip" per service. So for me (I ordered 2 massages) that would be an additional $40 mandatory charge on top of what I paid Groupon. Unless they change their policy, you too will be told after booking the appointment that there is a $20 minimum tip. According to her, it's a "minimum $20 tip" that you have to pay but that they don't call "mandatory". She refused to explain how a "minimum tip that you have to pay" is somehow not the same as a mandatory charge (because there is no difference). She said her time is too valuable to explain herself to me and then hung up. First of all, why is an owner that **sets prices herself** even demanding a tip on a service that she herself performs, much less a required minimum $20 tip? That defies the point of tipping. She sets the prices herself, she's not an employee. If you want to charge more, charge more instead of surprising people after they book an appointment and calling it a "tip". I tip to show gratitude when a service is good, not because an owner demands it for herself in an underhanded way. Also, I wish she would put as much effort into **answering the phone** as she does quickly responding within minutes to a negative review that resulted in large part from them not answering the phone. Nasty owner, nasty business. They're also refusing to cancel my Groupon voucher on their end (which I know from experience that owners can in fact do) despite also refusing to perform the service because I said I won't pay her mandatory minimum $20 tip. Update: Groupon refunded me after their normal 3 day policy because I contacted them earlier when I first saw that the business doesn't answer the phone! read more

Scheduled on 9/14. they called night before to confirm and yes i confirmed so they already redeemed the groupon (why they would do not that i dont know). the morning of i called to cancel because my mother wasnt feeling well. Owner's daughter answered and she said okay it's cancelled. I asked for a refund and all she said was call groupon. I contact groupon and they said i need owner to email me saying i never used their services. I contact owner (after attempting to call 3 times) and she tells me SHE WILL NOT EMAIL ME!!! Only thing she could do is reschedule which is a $25 rescheduling fee AND if I actually come in it's a mandatory $20 gratuity (they tell you this when you schedule)-- are you freaking kidding me?!! I told her i was not told about the cancellation details by her daughter and explained the situation and she said there was no way her daughter didnt tell me this because she started this business with her. Okay, so you're saying the customer is lying?! Not very professional. I told her I was going to mention all of this in the review and she said go ahead we will address this and that her time was valuable -- as if mine's not?!! This review is ONLY based on scheduling, professionalism and business aspect, not the actual massage because I never received one. I called Saturday morning to schedule not one, but 2 massages. I purchased a double massage on group on. Price was fair and reviews were mix, good and bad. The bad ones are the same reason I am writing this review. As I stated I purchased a group on and when I went to schedule, they answer the phone Hello, not thank you for calling diamond back massage this is ... instead I got hello, I finally got through and the lady that answered goes I'm in the middle of massage can I call you back. So that scared me a little for 2 things. One you're answering phone during a session and 2 you are not taking the time to speak to a potential new customer. I'm a business owner myself and I just felt like I was rushed off and never even got a call back or asked for my number to call back. I was in middle of asking a question and she just simply hung up. So I got a deal on Groupon. I got 2 sessions for like $75 or so. The price was great but I guess you get what you pay for. When I first called, I got a message of the hours of operation which was at the time I was calling. I went ahead and left a message and she called me back. (One woman business) When i got to the location, I was a little thrown off b/c it was not a room rented out of an office or something, it was in her home. Grant it, she had an nice set up. When you first walked in she had a desk and chairs to sit. She had her message table in another area of the room where she was able to pull back curtains. She was knowledgeable and did a good massage. The only thing that bothered me at the end when I was going to give a tip, she made a comment that she usually request $20 gratuity but took what I gave her. Who does that? If that was the case, she should have upped her price for the Groupon. I had an appointment for Dec 2nd and got a call that it would have to be rescheduled. I never got a call back so I texted about a week later. She finally got back to me after I called when I did not get a response and claimed she called and left me a message. (Didn't happen) The 2nd time I went, it was definitely uncomfortable b/c her daughter and boyfriend were home visiting and was going back and forth in the room. Although I was behind the curtain, I felt this was very unprofessional. Now I am never going to knock a person's hustle but needless to say, I will not be back again. I was told to call back after holidays which is fair and I understand. I wasn't able to get through today but my husband did and she informed him that the business is closed Monday and Tuesday and for us to call back on Wednesday before 9 AM to schedule, she refused to take an appointment over the phone. I have no idea how well they do massage, but the way they managed a recent groupon campaign is pathetic. I called no fewer than 10 times over a week and left a few voice messages as well. No return calls. I suspect overwhelmed by the volume of groupons purchased and unable to meet the demand that they sold. In fact, after two weeks, I finally got through and her first question was "what deal did you purchase". Clearly nearly all their business is coming from the groupon and living social discount deals. Absolutely amazing massage. Definitely worth the price and am not disappointed. I've been dealing with excruciating back pain for quite a while now and I barely suffer from it. Tracy is very knowledgeable and even if her establishment is in her home, it is a very safe and comfortable set-up. If people are going to complain about the location, then I suggest you go waste your money with someone who doesn't care about your healing process. WARNING to people considering the Groupon deal: Tracy demands a $20 gratuity (minimum. I offered less, but she was pretty insistent and I didn't want to make a scene) at the end of the session. My opinion is that any "obligatory gratuity" is just a part of the bill. (It's also an oxymoron...) I just received a massage from Tracy at Diamondback. I won't be going back. Here's why (besides the above): The only really good thing that can be said about the experience was that she has good hands, and gives a better than average massage. Defiinitely above the Massage Envy/Hand&Stone quality. Everything **around** that experience was average-negative. Parking is on a one-way residential street, wherever you can find it. The massage room is in her house, upstairs. There's NO SIGN ANYWHERE (outside the house or even inside the alcove. She shares a house with someone who was startled when I showed up. Tracy told me I had come "too early", but I was only 15 minutes prior to our appointment and I'd never been there before... A "waiting room" might help.) Tracy is pleasant enough. The "atmosphere" is standard New Age/Oriental chimes and flutes. The table is comfortable, but my neck was stiff at the end because the second half of the session was face-down. I mentioned this, but she didn't offer to massage out the pain (which I hadn't come in with), rather told me that "next time I come she will show me exercises and stretch me out." There's a mild "big sell" at the end, where she offers discount rates on upcoming sessions and package deals. Needless to say, I didn't bite on that. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the WORST BUSINESS I have ever been in contact with. I purchased a Groupon and I Should have known something was up when it took me 2 weeks of calling almost everyday to finally get ahold of her and when I finally did she said she was with a customer and would call me back in two hours but NEVER DID. I gave it a couple days and still no word so I had to call back AGAIN to finally schedule my appt. Then when I get there there is no parking and when I asked her where to park the attitude from her began..She had a cut on her finger so she said she had to use a glove and I asked her if it had latex in it and she said yes so I asked her if she had a latex free band aide instead and her response was "no, why would I? Having a latex allergy isn't that common." First off who says that to a customer and secondly having a latex allergy these days is quite common. She then said she would have to reschedule me for another day and she would and I quote "be going out of her way to go get latex free band aides for me in the meantime" When I showed up for my next appointment she wasn't even there. No call or anything saying she had to cancel my appointment NOTHING. LIKE WHO DOES THAT??!! That's so unprofessional and a waste of my time. Heed my warning DO NOT GO HERE. And from what I seen of the place she does her massages in, it's somewhere you wouldn't even want to go to to begin with. She does them out of her home. It was a mess in there. She had her sick daughter in the room next to us where there was only basically a sheet dividing the room. It was strange. I try to be respectful and treat others the way I would want to be treated and expect the same in return.
