First off, I love this place. This place is clean and follows all safety and cleanliness procedures, and I do check. The dentist is friendly and kind, and a straight-forward honest person. I know I'm getting amazing care, despite the fact I've got MassHealth dental which is akin to having almost zero insurance at all. Getting an appointment is never much of an issue for me. Sometimes I can even get the miracle come in the same day appointment, which is awesome, considering I had a horrible toothache today that we'll be solving in logical steps to eliminate the pain and its cause (yeah I'm going in for a filling next week... dun dun dun!) The receptionist is very nice, and she always gives a reminder call prior to your appointment (which is awesome because not gonna lie, I forget even when it's in my calendar). No matter what, you never have to wait long to be seen, which is wonderful. Cleanings. Cleanings here are quick and leave you wanting to take better care of your teeth. I spent more time waiting for the MBTA than I do getting my teeth cleaned here. And with my two covered cleanings per year, preventative care is both easy and not nerve wracking. Fillings. Great news! MassHealth covers fillings! But in the horrible time when they did not, this place did an amazing thing: they gave you the *same* price they'd be paid by insurance companies for the same work instead of the retail price or whatever. Which is really wonderful when you've got 3 cavities since you hadn't gone to the dentist in forever because your insurance sucks. And yes, you really can get them all at once-- the dentist does not scrimp on the numbing stuff (novicane? the injectable and the topical gel). And he's so quick! I'm fairly certain I've been in an out, two fillings down in about an hour or so. Quick and proficient, just how I dream a dentist could be. The dentist is a great guy. Tells silly jokes and is simply friendly. I'm pretty sensitive to smell and the most I can smell is the nitrile gloves-- he's got a face mask on anyways so he doesn't smell our breath (thank god! I really did need that coffee on my way over kthx) nor can we smell his. He's also full of really good information, like say I learned it's not so much the fancy toothpaste, but the fancy toothbrush-- so rather than spending gobs of $$ on whatever fancy toothpaste was new and promised unicorns prancing around to clean my teeth, I invest into a decent toothbrush to make sure my pearly whites stay pearly white and are appropriately scrubbed. I have to say, I'm getting rather spoiled by coming here. I moved across the city but still insist on going all the way out to Malden to come here for my dentist appointments. I wish I had a dentist like him when I was a kid, because I probably never would have lapsed at all during/after college in having cleanings done or any of that. Going here makes adulting not quite so bad. And even... kinda awesome because it wasn't bad, it was quick, and it's off my list for 6 months. Go me! Unless you know, you're like me and have a horrible toothache and call and they see you the same day and after a few Xrays and examining my teeth, finding a new cavity to fill is on next week's agenda, and after that is addressing TMJ problems. I posted a review for this place under diamond dental in Quincy. They have rebranded from Alpine Dental to Diamond Dental. The Dentist is fantastic. She explained everything to us and there was no sales pressure. It made me want to do a root canal and crown vs. yanking a tooth. She referred me to Tufts Dental school where the pricing was reasonable. Will be back for the crown and fillings! read more

I have been a patient of Diamond Dental for about 6 years. They were formerly Alpine Dental btw. My former doctor, Dr Hsu, is no longer with the practice. I now see Dr. Marcovici aka Dr. Judy. She is brilliant and meticulous. She explains everything in detail and cares. She understands that I am anal about my teeth and gives my smile the delicate care it needs. As long as live in Massachusetts I will NEVER go elsewhere. She has created a treatment plan for me and is in the process of doing my recently root canaled tooth with a crown and some other things to improve my aesthetics. If you need dental work go to Diamond Dental. They only have off street parking but i always manage to find a spot. They also have convenient extended hours on certain days. read more

When I first called Alpine Dental a pleasant young lady answered. She was very helpful to the questions I asked. She scheduled me an appointment with Dr. Hsu that was convenient for me. When I arrived for the first time. I was pleased that the atmosphere and staff were very pleasant. My first step were x-rays taken by the assistant who was as nice as the receptionist. Dr. Hsu then examined my teeth, he explained a few things then ended with a very sanitary cleaning. Before I left I explained to Dr. Hsu that I have never been happy with the look of my top front teeth. On my second appointment we discussed my options for my front teeth. I decided to go with the crowns. My whole experience at Alpine Dental from the impressions to the permanent crowns (that were made to perfection by Dave) was the BEST. I was a first time patient booking an appointment at the Malden location. My experience just dealing with the unprofessional receptionist alone was AWFUL. This woman answers the phone as if she's at home and not at work. As I was speaking to her to book a consultation regarding dental implant work I was put on hold 3 times in the middle of my sentence and left on hold in long durations of atleast 8mins at a time. When I asked if I should call back she responded "No, you good." I was able to book a appointment at 4. But because the parking was tricky and I was a bit of a hassle I was going to be running late I called at 355 and spoke with the same woman whom I communicated I'm there but would be a few mins late...with a attitude I was told ok and she hung up the phone. I circled Eastern Avenue 4 time and I finally found parking right in front of the entrance where coincidentally she had called me back at 409 saying tht she's rescheduling my appointment. I explained to her that I'm right outside and I had finally found parking, where she continued to tell me there's a assistant who has a appointment after me so I have to reschedule..I WAS 9mins late...and that day was my only day off to be seen. Plus, I'm being rescheduled because somebody who already works there is waiting to be seen??! I can't speak on the experience and ratings of the service as far as dentist etc..I didn't get that far. But, the receptionist there is awful and lacks work ethic and clearly is not capable of dealing with people I might as well been calling a gas station to inquire about a service didn't feel like I was calling a dentist office. I didn't bother rescheduling I told her don't worry about it I'll go somewhere else to be seen. May have good dental service but they should consider re- training or finding a new receptionist as she represents and is the first impression. I gave 1 star for lack of customer service. read more
