We were forced by Whirlpool to go through Diamond Factory Services. They scheduled us a week out for 7.3.2025. The technician called us with 1/2 hour notice to say he'd be there at 8 AM. He walked up to the front door and put a note on the door that he missed us. No doorbell. No knock. No call to say he was there. Jus t a ding-dong ditch without the ding-dong. They scheduled us with a different technician for 7.10.2025 who no showed. He was supposed to be there between 8 & 10, we called at 10:30 they said he was running late. By 2 PM, he still wasn't here so I called. No apology, nothing. They said his vehicle wasn't working and he cancelled all his appointments for the day. Now they want us to wait until 7.21.2025. They'll put us on a cancelation list but that's all they can do. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and got a voicemail. After reading all these reviews, I am shocked this company is still in business. They have zero sense of compassion or accountability and their technicians clearly do not want to work. I had an intermittent problem with my Whirlpool washer. Diamond came out and punched up some codes on the display. He never looked inside, even though the top panel was already off. He said the codes meant I needed a new computer board - $600, plus travel, plus labor. A new washer is $800 on sale this week, so I decided to buy a new one. I gave the broken washer to a man (who had been an appliance repair guy with Best Buy) He texted me the next day to thank me. He said it was a loose wire, not a computer board. He told me to keep his number in case I have any other appliance repair needs. Seriously? I am stuck buying a new washer for a loose wire that "Factory Service" couldn't see?!?! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This company is required by JennAir for all warranty work. We requested a warranty repair back in mid November. First appointment was cancelled by company. Then service tech arrived several days later, and part had to be ordered with no estimated delivery on that part. He was at our home less than 5 minutes and we were charged a diagnostic fee of $125, yet we informed him of the defective part under warranty. No tools were used, no parts removed, nothing was touched. Note: the replacement part is available online and in stock with other suppliers. Horrible! Put in a service call for a broken dryer through my warranty company, claims that my warranty company didn't send them enough info to dispatch a repair person. So they called and left me a voicemail at 8 am threatening to cancel my appointment if I didn't call them by noon eastern time. I had just gotten off the night shift so I was sleeping when they called! Woke up to the message, called back and was informed that they had canceled my appointment and all drivers had been assigned, which pushes back my dryer being fixed an additional day. Here we are again with another visit today 10/4/22...but no panel on the van to replace the $424 panel I purchased on 9/22/22. I left 3 messages for managers, spoke to Kara and Grant and wasted all morning dealing with this, due to how unprofessional service was. You would think that Diamond, as a "Maytag authorized" repair service, would be at least as good as Maytag products. But you'd be wrong. Diamond is inept in everything they do, from not answering the phone, not returning calls, not handling complaints, long lead times in service, long lead times for parts, poorly trained technicians and causing appliances to fail altogether. I think Maytag authorized Diamond for the ulterior motive of frustrating appliance owners to the point they give up on repair and simply buy a new machine. My experience began with a Maytag gas dryer (model MGDB200VQ0) that ran without any issues for the entire time we owned it - 13 years now. It recently started making an awful high-pitched squealing sound, but otherwise dried clothes and operated normally. We took the awful noise as a warning and went to the Maytag website looking for repair. Maytag refers you to these jokers. It took forever (multiple attempts over several days) to get through the long queue of callers. The option to leave your number for them to call back is a joke - we tried that three different times and not once did Diamond call back. And if you wait on hold and work your way down the queue, a recording announces "due to heavy call volume we cannot take your call right now" and then disconnects! We kept calling until we finally got through, only to learn it would take another week for a technician to be available. The technician seemed very hesitant and uncertain with the drum dryer, but fairly quickly diagnosed a bad idler pulley and installed a replacement which totally stopped the squealing. However, he said the "felt seal" (the fabric between the rotating drum and the stationary front wall) was loose and had to be replaced. In retrospect, I'm all but certain the technician had torn the seal loose as he fumbled with the drum and installed the idler pulley. But, I let it go, grateful to be rid of that awful noise and went ahead and ordered the replacement felt seal. I was not aware of it, but for some inexplicable reason, the technician had taken the washing machine discharge hose out of the drain and left it dangling behind the washing machine. The hose was behind the washing machine and we never noticed it wasn't in the drain until we did a load and water started pouring out of the hose and onto the floor. Unbelievable. Calling to complain was not possible - no way to get through the phone gauntlet, so we had to wait until the technician came back with the new felt seal. The technician didn't remember taking the hose out but offered a half-hearted, sorry about that, and then proceeded to install the new felt strip. The dryer seemed to operate ok at the conclusion of the second repair, but that proved to be an illusion. We discovered the very next day that the second repair caused the dryer to stop drying altogether. There is no air circulation inside the dryer, no damp air coming out of the dryer exhaust outside (it's a gas dryer), there is only intermittent heat, and now the clothes are not drying at all. I have attempted many times over the last week to get through to Diamond, but the call center cannot handle the calls. No doubt from countless other frustrated customers like myself who relied on Maytag's recommendation of Diamond. It's quite the scam, really. Maytag recommends a repair company so hopelessly inept that customers give up on repair and buy a new machine. Diamond is a disaster. Stay away. The only party recommending them is Maytag, and they have only sinister and cynical reasons for doing so. And when it becomes time to buy a new dryer, it will DEFINITELY NOT be Maytag. read more

Hi--A tech came out on 11/12/24 to repair our washer. He never left an invoice. I keep records of all repairs, so I would like a copy. My adult daughter was there when the tech came and he had her initial or sign something on his phone or electronic device. I have been trying to reach your company and I can never get a live person. I want to ask for a copy of my receipt. I originally called the phone number in my warranty booklet which was Maytag/Whirlpool. They helped me schedule the appt. Please have someone call me at 847-682-9879 so I can get a copy of my bill. I did pay over $300 for this service and my daughter tried to explain what they did, but I assumed I would get an invoice so I could understand better what they did. I have been through quite a bit lately so it we very refreshing to have a service company that really cared about their customers. I had several things break in my house and I felt like the ice maker going down was the last straw. I was reluctant thinking this was a major company that wouldn't really care about my issue. However, the technician called me first and asked me the symptoms to make sure I didn't waste a $100 service call. After talking with me he came over and originally thought that it might have been worse. He did the diagnostics and thank goodness it was a crimped hose. I explained that my husband passed away and I really wasn't familiar with the mechanics. He took the time to explain how the ice maker worked and helped get it fixed. I learned quite a bit about how it functions and how to clean it. He was a super nice guy and I only got charged the $100 for a service call! They did give a three hour window and he called me promptly after the first hour to go through the diagnostics. Typically they come at the last hour of the window which is frustrating. If you have a KitchenAid or Whirlpool appliance I highly recommend this company. read more

Update part 2: After close to 2 weeks, we had different tech's come out that had fixed the problem and were 200% sure they would not have to come back. They had informed us that it would be best to run a cleaning cycle and then we could start using the machine as normal. So we ran the cleaning cycle and after 20 min when the machine was starting to drain, our apartment started flooding. The tech did not check his work and did not secure the hose to the pump so the hose detached and drained water throughout the front part of my apartment as well as the unit beneath us. After several days I noticed the hardwood around the washing machine was warped so I called Roger to discuss what they were going to do to remedy this situation. Roger said he would have a company come out to check the damage and then get back to me on repairing it. A company did come out to survey the damage and they gave the quote to Diamond but I have not received an update yet. As of this update, Roger was supposed to get in contact with me 8 days ago to update me on the status and now I am not able to reach him. I have contacted my lawyer and will be going through that route to finish this situation. I can not stress this enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. read more

I have a Whirlpool Coin Operated Washer and Dryer that has been out of service for 2 months. Mind you these machines are less than a year old. Diamond Factory Service is listed as the ONLY Whirlpool techs in the Chicagoland area. 4 times a tech has been out (Brandon was sent out 3 times and did nothing, and Christian R came out on 8/7/2023) We were told on 8/7/2023 that a new coin reader was to be ordered and installed. Today is 8/29/2023 and we have yet to get any phone calls, emails or any other form of communication from either Diamond Factory or Whirlpool. My machines have been down for over 2 months, tenants are angry and now feel that we are deadbeat landlords, and we have lost tenants for no having working laundry in the building as we promised. At the end of the day you would think we could at least get a phone call. This company is a joke and i will have to reconsider purchasing Whirpool products as they do not have qualified service techs nor do they stand behind their products! read more

The tech showed up after the 3 hour window then spent 4 hours on a repair that did not work. He spent more time on personal phone calls and in my bathroom than actually doing the repair. If I could give this company a minus-100000000, I would. Chip has been to "fix" my Kitchenaid refrigerator by replacing the same part (the motherboard) 3 times. He blamed the refrigerator issue on our home's electrical work. We have surge protection on our entire house, AND the refrigerator is on a dedicated circuit! He has also told us that "replacement" is a taboo word, and Whirlpool doesn't like replacing anything! He said he would come back as many times to replace parts as he needs to, even if it means every month! We have had our refrigerator now for a little over a year, and it has been here 4 times during the manufacturer's warranty, but instead of calling it a lemon, he just wants to keep coming back! Because of this, we HAD to purchase the extended warranty, because we just knew it would keep happening! Guess what? IT HAPPENED AGAIN...our fridge went out right before EASTER! I have a built in fridge from whirl pool and the door is damage. It doesn't shut all the way. The doors are uneven. Paid a lot of money. The first guy came out and said it was the gasket. Waited 3 month. The second guy came, didn't even try, said it was cosmetic and left. Now whirl pool will not fix my door cause Diamond said it was cosmetic and they said that Diamond will not send someone out to see the door is damaged. So me, the consumer, who spend ALOT of money on this door gets screwed. And Diamond and whirl pool don't even care. I have never been treated so poorly by eboth companies. Do not use if u want something fixed. In response to your post. I have been on the phone with whirl pool 10 times. Sent them pictures and they agree it needs to be fixed. They have set up appointments with Diamond 4 times. Your company cancels these appointments, with out even a call. If whirl pool is willing to fix it why can't Diamond just fix it. Oh and a tech coming over and not even trying and seems it as cosmetic is not cool. If it was your expensive fridge you would be just as upset that no one cares about fixing it. Ok it could be that calling whirlpool isn't the best idea. I booked the service online and Diamond called me ahead of time to let me know they were coming out and performed service with no issues. I recommend booking on whirlpools website vs calling. I'll give diamond the benefit of the doubt here that something happened that whirlpool didn't notify them of my service request. read more

One of their drivers was going about 80-90 miles an hour on 170th St in Lansing, IL this afternoon almost causing serious accidents to drivers coming out of area businesses, almost rear ended my truck. Came out and said they had to order a part. Reset for Friday. Installed the part and the refrigerator now has power but doesn't cool. Not only was Leon right on time for the scheduled repair, but he was also able to quickly identify the issue with my two day old "like new" refrigerator and was very transparent regarding an unfortunately realistic time frame to order and have the parts shipped to complete the necessary repair. He was even willing to speak to the customer service rep from the store that sold me the faulty refrigerator in a concise, technical manner that I would have been unable to convey with my lack of expertise on the subject. That was a crucial conversation in expediting the ongoing return and refund issue with the store, who, up until then, seemed willing to fight me ad infinitum to avoid issuing a refund. Leon was able to resolve an unusually challenging situation without turning a screwdriver or giving me a bill due to his professional proficiency on both a technical and personal level. Our 24-year-old Maytag dryer, which had always worked flawlessly, began to make loud, scary noises. Trying to keep an aging machine going versus buying a new appliance is always a gamble. Not one to panic, I Googled the model number and found that many replacement parts were still available for this particular model. Moreover, an appliance sales rep advised that current-day models have a much shorter average service life (aka planned obsolescence). Presuming that a genuine 'Maytag Man' would be a better bet than a general appliance repair service, I contacted Maytag. They, in turn, set up a service call with Diamond. And then I saw all of the negative Yelp reviews. Oops! I braced myself for the worst. Angel, the repair tech, did not resemble the 'Maytag Man' of TV commercial fame but he did find the part that was making all the racket and ordered a replacement. An experienced professional with a thorough knowledge of Maytag appliances, he was not only polite and punctual but downright friendly (he loves dogs, too!). As soon as the part arrived, a Diamond rep called me to schedule the repair. Angel returned with the part and got the old dryer working like new. Folks in the appliance repair biz deserve our patience and understanding. They have to keep current with ever-changing technologies, squirrel away a bewildering inventory of replacement parts, and work under challenging conditions. This is not to say every customer will have a positive experience, but I'm glad I gave Diamond a chance, and the next time I need out-of-warranty appliance repair I will not hesitate to contact them. read more

Service tech was very unprofessional and spoke like a thug. $125 service fee to tell me I need to pay $600 to fix my oven that I bought new a year ago. Whirlpool sent them to diagnose my refrigerator for $110. The technician said it has a broken computer board and it will cost $500 to fix it. I opt out on having him fixing it and asked the tech if he can include the diagnostic along with the part number so I can order it and install it myself to save money. When I received the invoice it was blank but the diagnostic amount is there. We tried to call them several times and even left multiple messages for the manager to call us. I even replied to the email but no response from them and no call back. It is the annoying thing in the world when a company does not care about their service. We had the unfortunate situation via our home warranty company that assigned this place to fix our appliance issue. Believe all the bad reviews on Yelp as they're 100% true! Rude tech who didn't have PPE on him when he arrived to our home, so one was provided which he tossed by our door when he left. After a stern look, he did pick it up as he left. Secondly, when asked questions I was told "I dont know" or if i knew what parts he was talking about. He also mentioned that we need someone else to come out and "tear out walls" to fix the issue as they only do appliances. Why would walls need to be torn out? The answer was "plumbing is part of your home." But our issue wasnt plumbing related and that left me very confused. He also damaged our kitchen cabinet which now we have to somehow fix as neither this crappy company nor our home warranty will do anything to fix our damaged kitchen. When I called this place to cancel our part order, all I was told was "we will share this feedback." And that was that. And lastly, when asked if our appliance was safe to use, or why it leaked initially, I was told "I dont know. See what happens." Absolutely the WORST company! Maytag scheduled with Diamond Factory Service to come out to repair our 6 yr. old washer. Chris and a trainee (unfortunately, I did not get his name) came out, determined what was wrong, and let me know that a part had to be ordered. A return visit was schedule at that time. Upon the return visit, the part was installed and fixed the issue. While the repair was not covered under warranty, the work was done in a timely manner at a fair and reasonable price. Remember the name Diamond Factory Service and LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT COMPANY. I have used them 2 times once in 23 and 1 in 24 for different appliances. Techs don't know how to do repairs they sit on the phone the whole time talking to someone else that tells them what to do. They have never been able to repair anything whether it is under warranty or not. They forget to bring along the repair parts and blame someone else. They don't have shoe covers and you will need to tell them to take there snow covered shoes off.My recent tech continued to pick his ear and somehow touch every surface in my fridge without fixing anything. Telling me you cannot put any food on the top shelf of a fridge its always going to freeze. also my mercury thermometer according to him is not accurate and not acceptable in the industry. it says 30 degrees in the fridge the fridge is set to 37 everything on top freezes but its a bad thermometer!!! read more
