My dryer stopped working, and I emailed them about the issue and the error code that was displaying. They gave me a quote before coming out, checked out the issue, and had to order a part. My electric oven is 25 years old. The other day, when I was baking, the heating element started a fire. I called the A+appliance repair, asking if this heating element could be replaced? The gentleman asked me if I had the number of the oven, which I didn't because the label was not readable. He requested a picture of the heating element, which I sent to him. He called back telling me that the heating element could be fixed, and he be over in couple days. When he arrived, the part that he purcheshed did not fit. He took my old heating element with him to order a another heating element. The next day, he called me, informing me that he is having a hard time getting the right heating element. But, he informed me that I should not worry, that he will be searching till he finds it. He spent every minute of his free time looking, and he was successful finding the heating element, which made me happy. He came over on Sunday, and installed the heating element. Well the only positive was they were able to send a service tech out the same day to fix my dryer. However, he was the MOST unfriendly contractor I've ever met, did not smile or welcome questions and there was a slight language barrier. I was not hovering and tried to leave him alone to work but I found him to be a surly subcontractor who stopped just short of being rude. And it was very expensive; the labor cost was ridiculous @$250 for a $28 part (took a little over an hour). UPDATE: I was surprised when the company reached out to me immediately.
