I'm not understanding the negative reviews, but during my 65 days anybody who was willing, accepting and honest about recovery was successful. Was I unhappy about things? Yes, of course I was, but I checked my ego. If you are at Diamond House then your way was not working, and you need to suck it up and humble yourself. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Aiden is pushy and all he cares about is filling the beds for money. He took a $150. deposit from my husband for "toiletries". My husband changed his mind about going to this place because of Aiden's pushiness and just plain rudeness. I called the next week to get the deposit back and he said he would send it to the billing department. Almost a month later I called because the refund has still not been sent. This time Aiden told me they were keeping the money for the extra work they did. What extra work!!! My husband didn't even go. All he did was his normal job. If you want to go to a detox house go to the Lakes Treatment Center. It's a 5 star resort for sobriety. They have boats, canoes and fishing for the patients. The staff and empathetic which Aiden was totally not. My husband loved the Lakes. read more

NOT GOOD AT ALL. My son was transferred here from another place and this was the worst experience ever. Claire, Olivia, and Nathan were fake and all they cared about was money. I was FORCED to pay $3300 during the weekend just so my son, who is struggling, could get some toiletries. I of course paid, and he never got what he needed. He had to go buy them on his own. Because of how he was treated, he ended up leaving and I never got my money back. I called and emailed and they never responded. The money was for my out of pocket max. But I had to pay it at another place. I work in insurance and what they did was fraud. I would never even think of doing this to a family who is already struggling. I could go on and on but am so very angry. Now I am out $5000 for nothing. :( read more

i would give zero if it was an option. I cannot express how bad this facility is. I checked myself in for detox from Ativan and tramadol (both prescribed) the staff was very tight and did everything they could to display they were in control and i was a low life addict, and they had zero respect for me as a human being. I have been traumatized by this experience and crippled me for many months. When i checked in i was 147lbs, by the time they forced me to sign out, forfeiting all the money I paid in cash (over $6,000 private pay) i was 124lbs after 12 days, i have no recollection or memory of 7 days while is was there, i was over medicated and my body was shutting down to the point i ended up in the hospital twice! Once while i was still there and again the day i was released. All i can explain is these are disgusting human beings that are motivated by greed and sense of loyalty and entitlement to their boss Vicky at ANY COST. i have since emailed to demand my money back and an explanation as to why i have a picture of one of the staff members with his shirt off holding a video camera, taking a pic of himself with my phone in the mirror in my bedroom of the facility. I was terrified to tell ANYONE what happened as they threatened that they know where i live and my family as well. All i can guess about the video camera pic on my phone is they have something of me on film and another way to threaten me to stay quiet. That F****** terrified me and kept me quiet for almost a year. This facility needs to be shut down immediately, they are traumatizing patients for all i can guess is perverse entertainment, control, and money. When they learned i had money their tune quickly changed to manipulation and lies to myself and my husband. I have reported them and have not heard anything yet. If this post saves atleast 1 person from going there and experiencing the same things i did then, i will be forever grateful. If you are needing help, there are many quality and reputable places that will take your treatment seriously and provide exceptional care, so please be vigilant and avoid Diamond House at ALL COSTS, it could change you forever and leave you scared of people and situations as all your trust and self worth will be taken. Love being at the Diamond House at Fleming. The staff is great and very helpful. There are many different group facilitators so there are many different inputs on what each topic means. I like the food and how accomidating the chefs are, even allowing meal recommendations, which some mine actually happened which was awesome. Definetly recommend this place. -Ron Thayer read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Vicky doesn't care about the clients at all. The staff is horrible and will try and make you relapse. Josh talks down to the clients when it's one on one but when staff is around he acts friendly. Some staff is nice but most of them are horrible. My husband's father is near death. He completed detox as required and was told as soon as he got back from seeing his father that they would enter him into residential recovery. I know this because I was on the phone with their representative when we all discussed this. I picked him up and within a few hours learned his mom and sister decided to pull the plug on dad. My husband decided with mom and sister that he should return to program immediately and we would do a memorial service later. When we called Diamond back now they are saying he can't return because he left. My husband is a sick person who wants treatment and we did everything as they asked. He was RUDELY told not to return and our insurance company could just refer him elsewhere. These people didn't give a crap about him as a human at all. Don't buy their BS that they care about people. I can't even begin to explain the discrimination that goes on here. I got put on a behavior contract , then the day I got kicked out, I got kicked out for something I didn't do. Vicki told me I was only there because I was homeless but she didn't see me pour my heart out in groups. I was on time and tried to abide by all the rules. Totally unprofessional staff. I wrote a grievance about Jose and how condescending he is and that's when I got out on a behavior contract. So if you try to stick up for yourself she will come for you and she's very loyal to her staff as they are all family friends. Absolutely disgusting woman who sets people up for failure. She has no business running a rehab when she does not care about recovering addicts/alcoholics in the slightest. Even refused to give me nicotine gum(which is free) until I made a payment on my ledger which was low. Fucking horrendous. Not worth your time. read more

This is the worst detox house in all of Sacramento and simply because they lie about wanting to help individuals in recovery. They go through great lengths to beat down everyone in recovery here to the point that they hate their life. I don't recommend checking anyone into this nasty facility btw they have roaches and don't use cleaning chemicals to keep areas clean and sanitized. They are rude and not friendly at all. The staff is unparalleled, their care and compassion for the people they lead is absolutely seen and felt as they help guide people through some of the toughest moments in a persons life. I came in here incredibly low and convinced that I was beyond help or reason. Vicky (shout out to the most intense and devoted woman I know) has created an environment where people can work on their best selves while also becoming vulnerable in a way that is meaningful and growth-oriented. Amanda has a heart of gold and has so much empathy for the people she shepards. Jackie is a ray of sunshine and sass that brightens my day every time I see her. Emmy is the warmest most fun-loving person you will ever meet. Andrea is a force to be reckoned with that will change your life, if you let her. The staff here that has not been mentioned are all up to the same caliper as the ones that were, and words simply cannot express my gratitude for the lessons and experiences gained at Diamond House. Diamond seems like such an apt name for this organization, because I came in here a disheveled, dirty, broken lump of coal and over time, with a lot of pressure, was shaped into something beautiful and unrecognizable. I never saw myself going to rehab, even in the days leading up to checking into Diamond. My life was crumbling around me and I never thought I'd see the light. Even when I made it into detox, it was far from a picnic. 37 days later, I'm 25 pounds heavier (in a good way) and I'm sad to go. I'm going to miss Vicky, even though we started off rocky. I'm going to miss the ball of pure positive bliss that is Amanda and all her groups. I'm going to miss the amazingness that is Emmy and her awesome night groups. Chef Chrissy, Doctor Rob, Dean, Nicole, Marissa.. the list goes on and on, everyone making up the brilliant, unheard of level of quality that Diamond House brings. Five weeks ago I was a very hot mess and in a very dark place. I needed to detox from alcohol and find a new way to live my life. Diamond House (both of them, as I handled detox in Elk Grove for a week and moved to the Sacramento house for three weeks of rehab) quite literally saved my life and restored my soul. I cannot say enough about the staff. I entered detox alone and afraid and I leave tomorrow feeling like I am leaving my family behind. The support, the education, the care and compassion are evident in all they do here. Groups and one on one counseling fill your days, with information pertinent and individualized. The food is wonderful, with special touches based upon your needs, and I was able to bring in anything else I needed during my stay. I could go on and on, and attempt to name everyone who touched my heart and my recovery in some way, but I don't dare as I may accidentally leave out a name -- and every single person is so worthy of praise. This is the best place I have ever been, and the staff is amazing. Diamond house has been more help to me than anything, ever! Vicky the owner truly loves and cares about everyone she has come through this wonderful recovery home. She along with the rest of the staff their show so much patience and kindness to all going through recovery. I think the wonderful spirit shown by her and her staff is such a help in lifting you up and really showing you another way to try and live through each day. I personally haven't ever been around so many amazing people all at once on a daily basis. Liza and Keith do an excellent job in the groups and are there to talk to you anytime throughout the day and provide so much insight and knowledge to help you. They are the Therapists and are there 7 days a week. Even though there are struggles with many of us in those meetings and I might be one of the worst with my stubbornness, they really care and just want to help you so this isn't something you have to do again. I spent a great deal of time talking to everyone on staff and can tell you, Nicole, Erica, Stephen, Brianna, Bobby, Tito, Chris, Amanda, Sofia, Emy, Kalena, Tattiana, Jen, and I'm probably forgetting some, but up and down the roster of wonderful people that they have here...Everyone is willing to sit down and Talk, Listen, Help, and provide any kind of assistance they can into helping with your recovery. Like I said, this is the best possible place to come for recovery and the most incredible Dual Diagnosis Facility I've ever seen. The property is wonderful and there are many things to do in down time, besides working on your recovery. The Food here is out of this world. Bobby is the Chef and all that needs to be said is his food is incredible and you will never want to miss a meal, ever! If you or someone you know needs help, this is where you want to be. I was at the Fleming Road house but visited all of them they are all very nice the staff is very friendly Manny and Oscar are the best Group facilitators that I've ever come across manny more like relating through experience and Oscar somewhat soft spoken but I've observed that they both ask the perfect questions and they are both just really probably 2 of the best counselor/facilitator that I've come across in the last 7 years this is the only place I've ever saved a handout from because they are actually useful or insightful and the owner Vickey will take the time and talk to you if you have any questions or just want to talk this place is really very on point the food is good there's not too much programming it doesn't feel very overwhelming it's pretty cool read more

This detox and recovery facility is incredible. The facility itself is clean, amenities are plentiful and spacious. The staff truly care and take the time to get to know you. Our counselors Lisa and Oscar are very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The program addresses both mind and body. It says alot when alumni continue to volunteer l, intern or drop in for a meeting. Vicky the director is compassionate and a miracle worker with navigating the insurance options.
