We stopped by and met the owners, Ali and her mom Colleen. Our two dogs immediately took a liking to them and seemed right at home in their facility. There are your usual gates that you will see at any doggy daycare so they can keep the dogs safe and separated if necessary but Ali and Colleen made the extra effort to make their place feel more like a home. It was clear that it helped make our dogs feel comfortable and I especially liked that it smelled nice and clean. The outdoor area is a combination of fake and real grass. It's nice to see a facility with real grass because our dogs really enjoy rolling around in it when they're outside. I appreciate that they try to keep the groups smaller and try to ensure that the dogs are familiar with one another. I think that's really beneficial to pups that suffer from some anxiety (like our female dog). Ali and Colleen were able to watch our two dogs for Labor Day weekend and from the pictures they posted on Facebook it was clear they were well looked after. Every picture showed them smiling and having fun. They don't have a webcam so you can watch your dog on camera but they do try to make sure they post several pics online so you can see what's going on. Or if you're like me you just miss their little faces so much when you're away from them that you need to get periodic fixes! You will pay a little more here than some of the other doggy daycares in the area but you are also getting a homier environment with more personalized care. Their pricing is easier to understand than a lot of other daycares too. We're so glad we found Zoomies and will definitely use them again to watch our beloved doggies!

The pictures are beautiful by the way. My dog acts happy and looks great when I pick him up or when they bring him home. Another great feature: they have a bring home service. I love that they offer that. For us, it's an hour drive, so this is very practical after arriving from a trip. I highly recommend taking your dog there.

I dropped off a confident, vibrant 3-year Whippet in perfect health and picked up a timid, completely out-of-it dog that had obvious severe injury to her hind legs. My dog could hardly walk when I picked her up. Her hind quarters were so severely out of sync from her front legs that I took her to an emergency vet on the way home immediately after picking her up. The ER vet at first thought she had a tick-borne disease that was causing general lameness in her body since both back legs were not working properly. The vet's quick check found a tick still stuck on her during their review. The tick tests came back negative, which was good but then they needed to do x-rays to see if she had broken something bone-wise. X-rays showed no breaks or fractures. This led the vet to be unsure as to what was wrong with my dog, perhaps sprains on both legs that were so severe they went up into her belly causing the odd wiggle of her back legs. It has now been 8 days since I picked her up. Lolli has been on anti-inflammatory and pain-killer medication since then. Lolli still cannot walk properly or put weight on her right-hind leg. I have an appointment with my regular vet tomorrow to ask what we should do next. I used to proudly tell people "Lolli's never had a bad day in her life". It's heart-breaking this is no longer the case. When I picked up Lolli, when I saw her, I couldn't believe it. She was freezing cold shivering with the most violent shivers beyond anything I've ever seen. And she couldn't walk. I couldn't believe it. Lolli was really hurt and not doing well. I asked what was wrong with her and they said they weren't sure and asked if she generally has hip problems. My dog is a 3-year old Whippet in excellent health; she's never had a health or body concern in her life. Sadly, this is no longer true. When I asked how long she had been like that, they told me "about two days". This kills me. I do not understand why they would not have taken her to a vet to get looked at or called my emergency contact to alert that my dog was injured and any moving around would just be making things worse, to ask what we wanted to do. I cannot believe it. When I got Lolli to the car, I sat in the backseat with her for a bit because I was nervous about what was wrong with her. The lady came out to ask if everything was ok, and I told her, yes, I'm just really nervous about what's wrong with her. The lady responded, "oh I know, I'm the same way". This is infuriating. If you really felt that way and extended those feelings to the dogs you watched as part of your farm stay program, you would have taken her to a vet or called my emergency contact rather than let her hobble around in obvious pain and injury for two days. If you decide to take your dog to the Laszlo Family Farm Stay program, they will be let out in a field every day, with seemingly no supervision, or at least no one who cares about how the dogs are doing, until you pick them up. I trusted this place too readily; I shouldn't have. I sent one check-in email towards the beginning of my trip to ask if they could try to keep Lolli warm as she can get very cold if it's cold out. It's not difficult to warm up a dog for a few minutes before they are scheduled to be picked up from boarding. It's as though they didn't care one bit about how distressed, cold, and obviously injured she looked. I'll never forget how bad my little girl was shivering and hobbling when I arrived. I was so excited to see her; then seeing her and seeing how she was. My heart breaks thinking about it. I'm so sorry I put my dog in that situation. I really hope she recovers 100%. I do not recommend boarding your dog here. As a follow-up, the ER vet suggested I might want to contact the BBB to file a complaint and explain our experience. I will do so once I see how things go with Lolli's healing.

My puppy is happy to go there every time. She LOVES seeing familiar faces and the employees are pleasant and helpful. We have had to use them for last minute boarding and day care since we started and they are truly there for their clients. I know I can rely on them and they listen to any concerns I have. I took my puppy for intro grooming to another place and that service messed up her cut. Brianna, the groomer at Gemini, is currently helping to get her shape back and she has had detailed conversations with me on how she will help. My puppy is looking adorable again. Trainers there are very detailed and knowledgeable with what they do and how your puppy responds. I think I may go for additional training. Overall, I'm very pleased and would highly recommend them. Now I understand why their evaluation process is so detailed. They truly care about their dogs.

I highly recommend Gemini alerts new clients of exactly where their facility is located apart from their training facilities beforehand. I spent way too much time trying to locate the office and ended up being late. But, staff here were so nice and understanding! My dog was groomed perfectly and she was truly cared for from that I observed. The grooming session was fast (under 2 hours) and I was notified right away when Movha was ready to be picked up. Mocha was really happy when I came to get her! She was jumping and said by to her groomer (who was very friendly and kind). I will definitely be back to have Mocha groomed here again! Thanks so everything, Gemini!

On Call Pet Services is run by Kelly Lapre, who works with a team of other people. We've only…read moreinteracted with Kelly, and have found her to be very responsive (as in, nearly always responds within in 15 minutes of an email) and 100% available (she has never once said no to a gig). For cat sitting (2 cats, uncomplicated needs), her rate has been $16, which I find very reasonable. That said, we have been working with Kelly for about a year and a half, and recently decided to switch to another cat sitter. This was not because of anything overwhelmingly egregious on Kelly's part, but rather that we've had better services from other sitters in the past and would like to return to that. For instance, other sitters have always texted us pictures and updates about our cats. With Kelly, I found that she'll give me a brief update if I email to check in, but that's it. I would've preferred if she texted pics daily with every visit as a standard. (Note: When I emailed Kelly to share some concerns/feedback and ask for our keys to be returned, she stated that she is happy to do this for her clients upon request.) Another example is that over a longer gig (4 days) this summer, we returned home to an empty water bowl and two very thirsty cats. When I asked about it over email, Kelly wrote, "I gave them water every time I saw them just like I always do. I have been watching cats daily in the heat for ten years and two cats will empty a bowl of water in one day when it's hot. The water bowl is not big and now that I think of it it was empty each time I came so maybe when your [sic] home you fill it more often or there is another issue." I concur with Kelly that it's possible that a combination of heat, cats, time, etc may have led to the water bowl winding up empty by the time we got home (a day after her last visit), but what concerns me is that she noticed the bowl being continuously empty, and did not reach out to us. I would've been 100% okay with her putting down another water bowl (even without asking us). Also, increased drinking in cats can be a sign of something pretty serious, and I would like to have a pet sitter that has the awareness and expertise to alert me to something like this. Again, not canceling our service because of major issues, but rather some minor ones that overall just put us off. ETA: Kelly said that she mailed my key back to me. It was never received.

Kelly's rates are very reasonable, and Kelly's very dependable. Kelly's also accommodating. Once when Theo was with Kelly, I ended up in the emergency room, and was unable to care for Theo for a couple of days. Kelly kept Theo until I could resume caring for him. Kelly loves animals, and animals love her. Kelly also took care of my first dog about 10 years ago, and he also loved Kelly. Kelly sends pictures to me frequently, to show how much fun Theo's having. When Kelly comes to pick him up in the morning to take him out for the day, Theo shoots down the stairs, to get into her car, because he knows he's going to have a blast. For cat owners, I have recommended Kelly to one of the most difficult people I know who needed someone to care for her cat who has cardiac issues. Kelly was responsible for feeding him, making sure his water bowl was filled, and checking on his well-being. When my neighbor came back she went out of her way to tell me how grateful she was that I recommended Kelly to her. I believe Kelly provides one of the most important qualities that all animal lovers want, peace of mind knowing your pet is going to feel loved and cared for while you're gone.
