It's a must…read more Rocket fizz and I have a wonderful relationship as it always carries some of my old school favorite candies and when my grandbaby mentioned he wanted to try rock candy, I knew exactly where to take him too. Rocket fizz has 2 locations that I am familiar with. One in Plainfiekd and one in Downtown Indy. I love both locations but downtown on the circle was our choice. When the monument isn't under construction I love walking the steps. We parked a block away and walked back. And once inside we were in candy heaven. We spent alot of time perusing. Because their were so many choices it was hard for my grandson to decide until the store clerk mentioned she just made some grab bags. Excited he was. They were pricey but it was for the fun of it all for him. It has been a while since we've gone but he still talks about our visit. And for me, the memories are worth every dollar spent.

Unfortunately the company decided to create the most retarded policy towards minors. I am unable to purchase a candy bar because I am not 18 years old ? It's not that serious, I'm not buying alcohol, I'm not buying prescription medication, it's a Milky Way bro. Seriously will not be back if this is still a thing; how can a company ban its primary consumer audience from purchasing candy, IT'S CANDY!!!

Unique variety. Also, has an unusual amount of sour options than I typically see in a candy store!

It's a candy and snack joint! You will definitely find something for everyone here. Hoosier Cupboard is located in downtown Franklin, in a cute little house that also looks like a train depot. Across the way is some sort of train thing, so I'm sensing a theme. My children got an ice cream cone (Blue Moon) and a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a cup. They have kids' sizes, which is appreciated. I am not an ice cream person, so I got two hand-dipped peanut butter cups, one for each hand: one milk chocolate, and the other dark chocolate. Both were delicious! We ate our treats at a table on the outdoor patio. There is lots of outdoor seating, and zero indoor seating. So, your options are to sit outside or get your goodies to go. The people who work here are polite and patient, which is also appreciated. You know how it goes when you visit a sweets shop with kids -- they can't make up their mind about what they want. But the people behind the counter were very kind and waited with the utmost patience while my children made their decision about which ice cream flavor to choose.

This is what I was told by…read morea local who I was visiting with, who chose, as his treat, a soda over the thousand other sweet things available at this old-fashioned candy store. The sodas are served with rabbit-turd ice (unquestionably the best kind of ice). And they are made with real syrups and stirred together, like they used to do back in the olden days when the world was black and white, and the people behind the counter creating your drink were called soda jerks. You can also order a soda with other flavors stirred in, like butterscotch, chocolate, cucumber, cherry, lavender and the like, plus phosphates, floats, malts, Italian cream sodas, dirty sodas, freezes, tea, lemonade, ice cream scoops, sundaes and shakes. If it's sweet and you can drink it or let it melt in your mouth, they can probably make it here for you behind the soda counter at McCord Candies. You'll also find candy and chocolates, of every variety and permutation imaginable. Many of the candies and chocolates are made in-house, like their candy canes, which you can see being made right in front of you around the holidays. If you like sweets, you will find something here. Take your goodies to go, or you can go upstairs and enjoy them where there are a few tables and a nice view of the candy store below. There are also some vintage clothing and knickknacks for sale that you can peruse.
