My favorite ice cream place in town! Such a cute, old school vibe and I love the piano at the entrance. The apple butter ice cream is to-die-for and I love to order it as a milkshake. The persimmon pudding is great too! Free self serve water has always been a plus. My favorite ice cream shop since I was a little girl. Very quick service too. There have been some times over the past few years where they have had unexpected closures--probably due to staffing. Might not be bad idea to call ahead if this is a major stop for your day trip to Nashville--especially in the slow season as they might not be open every day.

Trailmix:) yummy

Staff was awesome and super friendly. We came on a Monday when it wasn't that busy and was able to sample a few flavors. I loved the s'mores and the flavor of the day was trail mix, it was delicious!!! Highly RECOMMEND and run to the candy store across the street while u enjoy your ice cream:)

Delicious ice cream and great service! Would definitely come back here anytime I'm in Nashville.

B and I recently took a trip up to Nashville, Indiana to mountain bike for the day. After our trek we decided to go into town and check out some of the local spots. After lunch we decided to hit up an ice cream shop, of which there are many to choose from. We spotted Millers, and it looked good from the outside, so we decided to give it a shot. The inside of the shop is meant to be old-timey. There's a dummy at a piano with old-timey music playing throughout the shop. One cool aspect is that they have an old map of Nashville, labeled with all of the shops and restaurants (and their phone numbers, which was kind of odd). It was cool to see the town from that perspective though. Since I'm not familiar from the area I liked being able to see what all is located, or was located, there. You walk through a line into the scoop shop, where the flavors are all listed up on the wall. They do offer samples if you ask for them, but I knew what I wanted as soon as I saw it on the menu - Pralines & Cream. I ordered a scoop on a sugar cone, while B opted for a scoop of Banana Chip on a waffle cone. The flavor of my ice cream was perfect! My only complaint is that when the girl brought my cone over the ice cream was extremely soft; as in running down the sides of the cone soft. She pointed this out and put it into a cup for me. Again, the flavor was great, but I really wanted a hand scooped cone, when what I got was basically soft-serve in a cup with a cone on top of it. Regardless of the ice cream consistency, based on flavor I would definitely return to Millers! I hope to find myself in Nashville more often, as it's an adorable little town, so maybe I'll have the chance to give it another shot soon. If you're in the area, and looking for ice cream, I think Millers is a great spot!

In Nashville, Indiana and need a creamy cold refreshing treat!?! We head over to Miller's Ice Cream House... very cute interior in an older building. Clean interior They have cones (cake, sugar, waffle) banana splits, brownie sundaes, and more... not to mention the flavors... persimmon!?! Kids had a single dip cone of chocolate (which is good), cake batter (which tastes like cold creamy cake batter with sprinkles (good but sweet), and the double Dutch brownie nut which was my favorite - YUM! Price was $3.33 each. So reasonable Service was kind

A tasty treat on a hot day. Millers friendly staff will let you sample all the flavors you desire. The homemade ice cream is full of flavor that the whole family enjoys. Ready for fall they carry apple butter, persimmon, and pumpkin ice creams. Blend them together and you get Thanksgiving dessert. The staff is cheerful and ready to serve.

Blueberry Custard = Delicious! Nice and creamy texture and loads of flavor without being overly sweet. Though the store front is on Main Street, you walk into a long hallway with some seating (2-top tables) on the right and a mannequin sitting at a player piano towards the back. You go down a narrower hallway and take a right to finally find the entrance to the shop. Good thing they have signs! Once inside, they have several counters filled with ice cream to choose from and menus listing the flavors mounted on the walls behind the serving counters. Service was prompt and friendly. Good stuff! Review #1630

Two scoops off Heath ice cream!
Samantha P.

There is not much to say about this place besides, get yourself there and wait in line for some delicious ice cream! Line may seem long but it will move fast since the actual part that houses the ice cream is small, people move their way out to the tables quick. Besides, you get to look at the weird piano people while you wait... Thick, rich, creamy, delicious ice cream. I got a two scoop of Heath and split it with my husband, we weren't sure it would be enough for both of us, but since this stuff is legit, it was. It was perfect place to stop on a hot summer day while shopping around Nashville!

Creepy looking pantyhose people chillin' at the Millers Ice Cream parlor, but that old pantyhose man can really play that piano!

The ABSOLUTE BEST place to get ice cream in Nashville is here! This is a traditional stop for my family and I to get our desert after we've walked store to store for awhile! I've tried many of the flavors they've had but one of my favs to get is their peppermint candy and add some hot fudge on it, makes your mouth water doesn't it?!?! If you haven't tried this ice cream parlor out I highly recommend that you do cause like I said before they ARE the best in Nashville!

Hot cider ice cream float was awesome.

Stopped in to get the hot cider ice cream float. I gotta say this drink is a treat. Tastes like your drinking a delicious pie topped with ice cream and washed down with cider. I'd be crazy fat if we lived closer to this place.

This is one of my all time favorite treat stops! It's tough to find old fashioned sodas, but I can always count on Millers. The chocolate soda is my favorite. The ice cream flavors are also endless- but I have only ever stolen a taste of other people's choices!

Don't you just love that? The BLT at The Chocolate Moose is served on a toasted croissant, with slices of crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato. You can get it with mayo or not (I did not). I think the smart move is to ask for extra bacon. The extra bacon put this sandwich over the top! I don't know if it was because of the extra bacon, or because it was tomato season, but the BLT was perfect and just what I needed. I got some potato wedges to go with my sandwich, and I loved those almost as much as my sandwich. Dang, The Chocolate Moose! Who knew you had such good food? Everyone is raving about the ice cream, but I'm over here screaming (OK, murmuring) about the food. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan, but I do occasionally enjoy ice cream as long as it has some stuff in it. It needs texture and things I can chew on. One of my favorite ice cream treats is a turtle sundae, because it has pecans and caramel in it -- a winning combination. Because I was at an ice cream shop, I thought, "What the heck?" and ordered a cup of sweet mucus -- I mean, ice cream. The turtle sundae that I got at The Chocolate Moose was great! I just wish it had more pecans, but I suppose you can ask for them, which I didn't think to do. They have several different kinds of sundaes, as well as ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes and vegan ice cream. There's a drive-thru, which is convenient, but there is very little parking, which is inconvenient. The people that I encountered who work here were super friendly and nice, which was nice.
