I texted the dealership that I will not be able to come in, post a phone call in the morning. I received a message saying they are willing to do an offsite test drive for me. I reached the location the next day, and no one showed up there. I then realized it was a BOT who arranged this meet up. AN AI who asked for ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND DATA PRETENDING TO BE HUMAN. Mind you I did not ask for this test drive, it was OFFERED TO ME. What is worse is Diamond Mazda had no idea about this, no human oversight of the AI and has no controls over these bots. I had to call them to inform and they proceeded to gaslight me. BEWARE before interacting with them and sharing your data while buying a car. I am absolutely shocked and scared that Diamond Mazda uses such powerful tools such as AI and lets it run wild, ENDANGERING REAL human life. When I tried to complain, Marco the salesman refused to share number of the GM claiming he did not have such information...(ridiculous) and proceeded to harass me further, leaving me feeling unsafe and distressed in a location that the BOT made me come to. Bought a certified used Mazda 3 for my daugther. Sale went well but there service department needs major improvements. They never answer there phone and when they do you get the run around. The key to my car needs to be replaced and for the past 3 months they have strung me along by changing the battery and small things like thy but still have the same issue. My daugther is in school in Santa Barbara and it's difficult to coordinate a service date. Just called today 12/30/24 and was told there is only one service manger and only she can make a service appointment but was out to lunch? How small of an operation is this service department. I purchased a Mazda CX5 4 weeks ago. The Service Due indicator does give not operate properly. The Service due mileage does not move. For example, 2700 miles to service your vehicle stays the same. This defect will void your vehicle as you dou not perform on time service. The service dept "recalibrated" the indicator at 2750 miles. They say it should indicate properly or bring it in for repair at $100 deductible. The drivers seat causes severe lower back pain. The sales manager says there is no warranty for that issue unless the seat does not operate properly. He states " buy a cushion an see if it fixes the problem." Wanted to take time to COMPLIMENT the Service Department at Diamond Mazda. First, Taylor was an excellent Customer Service Representative because she kept me informed of my vehicle's progress. She explained everything. The mechanic Juan Diaz, was exceptional, too. Not only did he email me a video showing me my vehicle inspection, he walked me thru all his concerns while I was at the service center. This way any needed repairs were explained to me where I can understand what needed to be done. Plus, Juan pointed out an issue that even the car's dashboard missed. This allowed me to correct the mistake before it became a major repair issue. I GREATLY appreciate that. It's refreshing to find an honest repair shop. Diamond Mazda's service department is terrible. If I could give them zero stars I would. They are dishonest and unprofessional. Having purchased my 2015 Mazda in the city of Tustin, I always took my car to Tustin Mazda for maintenance as they have always done an outstanding job as well as being fair and honest. Last month with the weather getting warmer I noticed that my air conditioning, while blowing air, did not blow cold air. My thought was I probably just needed Freon. Since I had recently moved to this area I decided to go to Diamond Mazda to get my air conditioner serviced. That was a mistake! The following discription was Diamond Mazda's diagnosis. Compressor not coming on, compressor very noisy and rattling inside, and zero pressure on high and low side. Stated that my car needed a new a/c compressor, expansion valve, dryer assy, and a high and low side hose due to leaking Freon. This they quoted would come to $3087.35. I knew this could not be correct. I am diligent about my scheduled maintenance services plus I know my car, how it sounds and how it runs. I told the service rep that I would get back to them and I walked away. I then called Tustin Mazda and spoke to Tony in the service department. Tony has been my service representative there for the past 7 years and he has earned my trust. I sent him the paperwork and the service video that Diamond Mazda had provided for me. He encouraged me to make the couple of hours drive to Tustin as the information that Diamond Mazda provided as well as their video was not aligning with what they said needed fixed. A few days later I made the long drive to Tustin. After the mechanic Tustin Mazda inspected the air conditioning here is what they determined. A/C system did not find any leaks, Used A/C machine performed leak check = Passed A/C system empty filled to spec, A/C blowing at 42 degrees. All it needed was Freon. Total price for air conditioning parts and labor was $270. Going to Tustin Mazda saved me $2817.35. Well worth the couple of hours of drive time. In addition I emailed Diamond Mazda's service manager and told him that I would be posting a negative review on Yelp regarding my poor experience with them and I never heard back. I guess reputation and honesty does not matter at Diamond Mazda. I will never again go to Diamond Mazda and I strongly suggest that you not go either. I came an hour early and asked her to please check me in and with a pretentious attitude she was like, I can't! I am all booked till 10! When I looked around, there was only 1 customer sitting and the place looked dead! That's what happens when small receptionists think they are the boss. His conversation style was warm and approachable, and I felt like I was in good hands. He worked with me to find a new lease for a great rate, and when he said his goal was to help me get the best deal I could, I believed him. I asked a lot of questions and made a ton of requests, and he was equally as kind and accommodating throughout. He even met me halfway to switch out the vehicles, so I didn't have to tough it out for a three hour drive. For the past week I had been in contact with Mike C., Internet Sales Manager. He sold me through text on a CX-5 I had my eyes set on. So finally when I was ready to take him up on the offer he extended and before making the 90 mile drive, I called and confirmed with Mike multiple times during the call that the car I wanted was in fact available and that the offer still stood. He agreed and off I went to their dealership. Once I arrived in excitement, we get seated and that's where things go south. They told me the offer was not going to be honored because the trim they quoted me for was not available. They somehow made the mistake of overseeing that detail and they continued to add on excuses saying apparently I was only offered the discount because there was "something wrong" with the vehicle and it needed to be fixed. I should've known it was too good to be true. In that part it's my mistake. But now I am a believer that car sales people DGAF about you and only about making money. They could have found a way to honor the offer that was made. But they chose not to. Since I needed a loaner car we set an appointment for the next day. Kerrie gave phenomenal customer service. The mechanics were quick and efficient. I had the estimate within 2 hours. I love the fact they take a video of the issues and send it along with an itemized bill of what the cost would be. I had to watch the video before they release the car whether you do the work there or not. Worst dealership and worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I would give 0 starts if possible. We drove 1.5 hours each way to check out a car on the lot that was exactly what we thought we had wanted, making it worth the drive with my two small children. After being rushed through the test-drive and not given time to check out the car in detail, which is important as it was a certified pre-owned, we then were taken to financing where the price given to us was $10k over the advertised list price, not including tax and license. After expressing out concern regarding the price and giving them our top price, they came back with an even higher price than they started with. Adding in ridiculous costs and being shady about it, trying to talking in circles. They were very rude and disrespectful to us and not to mention inconsiderate of our time as we had two small kids trying to keep entertained during all of this. We specifically advised them not to run our credit as their pricing and service was a joke and we were going elsewhere. Guess what, they ran out credit anyways, as I come to find out as I see an inquiry appear on my report. Car buying experience: I was in shock for three days after getting away from them. I went in to test drive a CX-5. Great car. I just wanted a different trim and color. Salesperson said they would try to get the car I wanted. Next day she calls me and says they have the car. I took 2 hours of vacation to go look at the car: That WASN'T there. She explains they found my car in the Fontana Mazda (one of the 8 dealerships I was talking with because of TrueCar). They'll have the car tonight. Okay, let's keep it local. My first question: out the door price. "Oh, no only finance can tell you that" Okay, game playing time. What payment do I want? I'm already pre approved at my credit union. What's the out the door price? If we can beat their offer will you go with us? Sure. What payment do you want? Less than$500. Credit application filled out. Comes back with $585 scribbled in a paper. What's the APR? What's the term? Only finance blah blah blah. I should have walked out. Knowing I have a lot for the down, I figure that will reduce the price. Fine. Turns out that Finance is inside the Ford dealership next door. Salesperson leaves to go get the car(!). Sit on Ford's couch for 45 minutes. It's now almost 6 pm. I should have walked out. Finance: $585 for 84 months at 5.65%. Did you even look at my credit (835)? I'm preapproved for 2.25 for 66 months at my credit union. And the out the door price is $18k more than the MSRP. I should have walked out. High pressure negotiation: saw the sales manager four times. I got them down to a number I could live with. I was punch drunk. I signed a contract. Final straw: a problem with the cashiers check for the down. I'm done. I walked out. The next day I get the call from salesperson. I don't want the car. 37 calls and texts later, standing firm. 2 weeks later I got my CX-5 from Hello Mazda in TEMECULA. No pressure at all. Worth the drive. read more

Dealership was great before the new management, especially their service department. Ever since the new ownership change new employees were hired and their best service guy justin left (he was amazing, very informative, reliable, and honest). Their new service lady, Ashley, is the worst. She displays a nasty attitude and is not friendly. When asking for basic information of the vehicle repairs she appears to be uninformed of the repair itself and does not know what she is talking about. Not only that, when requesting for more information she will argue with you. I brought my car in recently for an oil change and multi point inspection. During the inspection, everything was marked green and no problems were assessed. Come to find out, two weeks later, my car would not start. I tried jump starting it and still would not start. I look at the battery terminals, they are heavily corroded. What a great inspection, right? When calling them up to ask about what happened, Ashley blamed anything could have happened in the two weeks (lol). She continued to argue stating nothing can be done without towing it back in and they did not want to own up to their mistake of improperly inspecting my vehicle. Instead, they shifted the blame and frustration onto the customer. I ended up replacing the battery myself and coughed it up as a one time accident on their end, no worries. Two weeks go by, a check engine light appears. The code is only a p0304 which means it's only a cylinder 4 issue which requires a spark and maybe a coil. I take it in to get it serviced and they tack on a bill of $1600!!!! The bill was charging me for all 4 sparks and coils and intake seals, and sea foam!!!!!!!! When asking for more basic information about how the intake seals are damaged for a car with only 82k miles, she deflected the blame and said "come get your car and get it serviced elsewhere, I don't want to argue back and forth with you". What the hell!!!!! I'm starting to think they damaged the seals themselves as they could not give an upfront honest answer!! For a 1600 dollar bill I expect to get some more information and not this type of treatment. As a loyal Mazda customer with three Mazdas, I can confirm that I will not be going to this dealership ever again!!!! I just purchased a used vehicle from this dealership while trading in my luxury SUV. This dealership is mediocre WITH THE EXCEPTION of Chris Spears! He is the only reason I completed the trade-in and purchased the vehicle. He managed tasks big (negotiations) and small (simply putting my plates on the car in sweltering heat). He was honest, sincere, absolutely positive and had an "all is possible attitude." We were pleasantly surprised by how he worked with us from the moment he greeted us by name when we arrived and he was outside waiting for us until the moment we drove off the lot. He checked on us while we were in finance and was a support through parts of the purchase process that were 1-2 star worthy such as the finance process. 1-2 STAR RATING: If there was any room for improvement it most certainly is in the finance department. Here we felt a significant shift where disorganization, miscommunication, and a sense of our needs not being understood occurred where it absolutely had not been an issue with Chris. I would suggest having Chris stay with you through the Finance process or have Terrel on the phone as you navigate the paperwork as the finance lady seemed rather misinformed and discombobulated. This process took the longest I have ever experienced (I have gone through the finance process 5 times in my life). The finance lady was also poor at communicating hiccups in the process (e.g. a loan being declined due to not living in the same area as the credit union), did not seem to "know her audience" with regards to telling her we were not interested in various things she offered repeatedly, or not seeing particular discounts in the final bill. read more

I drove an hour to buy a used car from Diamond Mazda. I drive it and tell the salesperson I'll take the car at the price advertised on their web site and CarGuru. I had noticed a price $4000 higher on the car. The salesperson tells me that there is $4000 of dealer added accessories. I told her I didn't want them and that I wanted the car at the advertised price. I then spoke with the sales manager who said he is happy to sell the car at the advertised price but I have to buy the additional items in order to buy the car. He points me to the disclaimer listed under "details" on his web site. That disclaimer said nothing about added items on the car. He then admitted that they buy these cars and list them for way under Kelly Blue Book for a certain amount of time so they can "get eyes on it". Then they increase the price online which he said they are doing tomorrow. He then said that he is exercising his right to not sell me the car for the advertised rate. The sales person told me that they add a bunch of garbage items to every car they sell. In my opinion, this type of conduct is a clear violation of CA Business and Professions Code 17500 which can lead to criminal and civil prosecution. As I saw it, the conduct of this dealer puts all potential customers at risk. Read some of the other recent reviews and you start to see a pattern. I was happy to see Patti K went to Hello Mazda in Temecula. They are one of the few dealers who do not mark up their new cars. read more

I had shopped around many dealers online to look for a decent deal on a 2019 CX-5 NEW (purchased Feb 2020), as they were trying to sell these models. I stumbled across AV Mazda and a new CX-5 on the lot that had all the packages I was looking for. I first began engaging with Edwin, who was very responsive with everything-- which I did appreciate. We worked out all the numbers and then came into the dealership to pick up our car. Upon arrival, the power liftgate would not open. The dealer advised us that we can take it to ANY Mazda to have the issue repairs since it is under warranty and their master tech was not in. Okay, that is a pain, but it is what it is. We drove over an hour for this vehicle and had a different Mazda down the street from us. We then get into financing with Ashley (her office was out of the Ford dealership since they work together). She was initially nice and friendly. Then came the time to sell the maintenance package, the warranty, and the GAP. I kindly declined and said we did not need those. She then said again the importance of GAP and the warranty because "you never know". I said I previously worked in finance and know the up-sell and profit off of these packages so I would like to pass. She then threw in a snide remark of "hmmm, maybe that is why you are not in finance anymore". I wrapped up the paperwork and got out of there. Called the local Mazda dealership and they advised it had to go back to AV Mazda for the liftgate because it is a specific dealer issue because they did not properly remove the alarm. So back we go, one hour each way, to fix this issue. The service side was super nice and helped fix the issue promptly. +1 star for the service side. However, I would not return to this dealer again. SIDE NOTE: My brand new CX-5 had the transmission replaced due to failure, but it was covered under warrantly luckily. It only has 1,713 miles on it. read more

My mustang is being paid off this month and my hubby and I decided to check out the Mazda due to Mustangs drinking a lot of gas. When we got there Kevin the salesman introduced himself when we were walking towards the front door. We immediately put our game faces on. I told him we were just looking to see what is out there and my husband was looking to see what we can trade our car for. My husband let Kevin know what he was interested in. Kevin took us to see a 2013 Mazda2 Sport. We immediately felt in love with it. Color was perfect, size was perfect, and the price was at our price range. We asked to test drive the car. I first took it for a ride. As soon as I got out of the car I knew this car was the perfect car for us. My husband then drover the car. I could tell he was very pleased. Then we agreed to look at some numbers and possible walking away with a new car. While we were waiting for Kevin to talk to his manager my husband and I decided on how far we would go to get the car. Kevin the came out with some numbers and myself having financial work experience right away told Kevin that the numbers don't look right to me. They were a little too high for what I want to pay each month. Within minutes he went and talk to his manager and came out with some better hard to say no numbers. I then filled out my application for them to check my credit. Yup just what I thought those great numbers that we saw the second time around were in my favor. The process from the beginning to the end took maybe 3 hours. Every time I buy a car it takes all day and they hold your car keys and driver license hostage. Not Antelope Valley Mazda. They were nothing like I thought they would be. They were better!!! The trade was good. Better than we would get at other dealerships. Our new car is perfect. The payments are a piece of cake. We will pay off our new car in no time. The great customer service was amazing. I could not ask for anything else better than what we got. I will for sure tell all my friends and everybody to go there first before heading to other dealerships. read more

I had the best car buying experience today. I live in northern California and I found the car I wanted at the price I could afford all the way down in Lancaster. Angel and Topher took the nest care of me handling everything via text and calls, I was treated like a good friend. They worked hard to get me a low rate with warranties while keeping me in my budget. And the coolest thing is these to stellar Sales reps drove the car all the way to my house. I couldn't believe it. As a person in the sales/hospitality business I know how far going just an inch can make in someone's experience.....well Topher and Angel went the whole damn mile and then some. Just picked up my car from Mazda. I had an appointment and did not have to wait ("always" make an appointment people). Savana was fast and efficient in writing up the work order. She said it would be 45 minutes..they were done in 30 minutes (rockin). Justin had our car waiting when we arrived back at the dealership (my son and I went to lunch). These people rock. They did not have danishes and coffee like at the infiniti dealership...But for the value I received, I was totally happy. I always take names and verbally crush the sub-standard companies (look at my reviews), but I also go out of my way to praise the great companies, because I want them to thrive in my community, and to remain in my community. read more
