Then a month later I call and ask if the replacement for the belt buckle was in and they said no they never put in a request for it and I would have to pay out of pocket. I called Lancaster Honda to schedule a fuel pump recall for my 2018 Honda Civic and to ask about the A/C condenser warranty extension that Honda issued for these vehicles. The fuel pump recall was scheduled, but when I asked about the A/C warranty extension, the person I spoke with said they had never heard of it and told me to bring proof of the letter I received in the mail. The conversation felt dismissive and unhelpful. I called back to speak with a supervisor, and they hung up on me. I called back again I finally reached a supervisor the interaction was also unhelpful and nothing was resolved. At that point I canceled my appointment. I then called Palmdale Honda and had the complete opposite experience. They immediately recognized both the recall and the A/C warranty extension, scheduled my service, and even offered a loaner vehicle for the day while my car was being serviced. The difference in professionalism between the two dealerships was huge. Based on this experience, I'll be taking my business to Palmdale Honda from now on. This experience has been incredibly disappointing! I bought my CRV last month and traded in a vehicle that was supposed to be paid off within a week or two at the latest after the purchase. I emailed Tommy and Juan on February 19th and March 6th to check the status, but I haven't received a response yet. I brought my 2021 CR-V in for stalling, and their own technician wrote on **Line E** of the Repair Order: **'RECOM REPLACE ENGINE.'** Instead of following their own expert's diagnosis, they pushed me into a **$5,180.82** 'patch' repair while admitting via text there was 'no guarantee' it would work. Unsurprisingly, the repair failed within 3 months with the exact same symptoms. I work in management, this is by far the most money driven establishment I've ever experienced. Customer service is a word to be used second behind profit. If you want to purchase a vehicle here expect to be pressured into making decisions and although you are saying "NO" your words have no value. I worked with the manager on my deal and I was led to believe I was receiving a "good deal". I signed the papers and was to set to receive my vehicle the next day. The next day rolls around, I'm using my PTO to receive this vehicle and I don't receive a phone call, I have to call myself at 2pm then the manager tells me the vehicle I signed for is damaged and he'll send me another one to sign off. I decline. I am then pressured constantly to sign off, that I am wasting their time. I realized quickly that this car decision was a mistake. I was able to void the contract. I do not trust this service department. During my scheduled service, I was notified [in red text] my car had "Services Required - 3 items failed - Needs immediate attention." The three failed items included 1) 100K mile water pump replacement; 2) fuel injector cleaning, and 3) throttle body cleaning. When challenged, the service representative stated these three flagged items were not observed or verified issues but were actuality optional recommended services. In my opinion, the red flagging of "Services Required - 3 items failed - Needs immediate attention" for services not required, not failed, and not requiring immediate attention seems to represent an unscrupulous fear-based sales tactic to increase the service department's profits. None of these recommended optional service items were required (no evidence of a problem). None of these recommended optional service items are required in the owner's manual (i.e., there is no time/milage maintenance requirement). Additionally, when I picked up the car it was filthy. There was water, dirt, and grease splatter all over the car's exterior and greasy handprints on the light beige leather and touch surfaces. They are part of the Costco auto program, and I got a referral from Costco to visit here. This is the first time using Costco, so I didn't know what to expect. Made an appointment with Nick, the Costco specialist, and when I showed up, Nick was nowhere to be found. Some other salesman started to show us cars, and gave us this breakdown of how much the car is, how much the payment would be, etc. The price and payment in this breakdown were outrageously high! This breakdown had nothing to do with Costco and just scared us away from even looking at more cars. Eventually, after a long wait, someone familiar with the Costco program showed us the 'Costco sheet' for the car that we wanted, and it was still outrageously high. It was clear to me that the Costco sheet was being used as a bait and switch, where if you go by the Costco program, all these things will be added to the car, and there's no room for negotiation. This place is a BOILER ROOM when getting service. I brought my car in for an oil change and they always tell me I need more...an air filter, wipers., etc. I know sometimes I do need things and almost always paid for extras...not windshield wipers for $100 but other resonable things. I have been going to the parts dept here for 10 years. NEVER again. I guarantee you that if you bring your car in for 1 thing they will tell you that you need to pay for 5 other things. This last time I went in for an oil change I knew my car needed some extra things. It has 86,000 miles on it. But it is in excellent shape. It had never been in an accident and I take care of it. So...go in for an oil change and get hit with a $4,000 estimate. YES, people $4 grand. When I tell the guy he's nuts he blames the tech who looked at the car and said "oh my God no you don't need a lot of this stuff I don't kow what he was doing." Then I got a quote for about half that...I took things off and got it down to $1100...but still going in thinking yeah an oil change maybe some other things...maybe $500..but I rely on my car and understood some things were necessary..again they tried to sell me windshield wipers for an astronomical price. I felt such a sense of ick. He tried to make it seem like, look I am saving you so much money. It was $4 grand and we got it down to $1100. This is not a favor. I understood what was happening but I need to have my car running right. I paid through the nose for what started out as an oil change. A month later the tire pressure light goes on. In 10 years I have never seen this light. I have a compressor and fill my tires regularly. I knew my tires were do to be filled 2 weeks before I brought the car in. I even looked at all of them and thought...there all still ok I will let them do it when I bring it in to get serviced. Now I see this light and think which tire could it be? When I get home and pull out my compressor I go to the first tire and the tire cap it cracked and there is no top and this is the same tire that I looked at a month ago and had a tire cap on the same tire with the top off. Then I look at the next tire and the new black tire cap is on it and then I look at the next tire it had a tire cap that was faded...just like the one I saw on the same tire a month ago...then the last tire missing a tire cap...in the same position on the car as a month ago. They never rotated the tires. Then I go to fill them not knowing which one needed air...ALL of them. They were all at 35-37 PSI when they should have been at 44. There is no way they got that low in a month. They never even put air in the tires. If they had don't you think they would have put on new tire caps?!! I call the serveice rep I delt with, Jonathan, and he says it happens because of the weather. I know tires expand and contract losing air do to weather...but we have not had severe weather changes in a month and even if we did it takes more than month for tires to get that low...ALL 4 tires. I just told him I wasn't buying it and needed to come back in so they could do the tire totation. He was very polite and said no problem and that he would fill the tires and even tough he thought they were out of stock he would make sure to get me tire caps and throw them in for free. Throw them in for free? I bought a pack of 25 of them for $3 on Amazon. Again..he's doing me a favor. I know long winded story and you think it ends here...no people it continues. I call and talk to a manager, Sandy, who was very professional and seemed concerened after I told her all of this and she said she would make an appt. for me that day and have the service manager, Cody, call me in an hour...Yeah he never called. I take my car in and a service rep, Steven, comes right out and starts checking me in. He says so you are here today for a tire rotation and a wheel alignment. No just the tire rotation. I tell him I was in a month ago and they forgot to do the rotation. He looks at me with a contorted face..like is that it? He is getting the mileage off of my car and I can see he still has a weird look on his face, so I again say that I had my car in a month ago and they missed doing the tire rotation and that they didn't fill the tires with air but I have already done that so I just need the rotation. He says ok it's going to be $13.99. Now I am getting annoyed. I tell him, "NO, I just told you (twice) I brought my car in here a month ago and it wasn't done." Then he asks me if I paid for it when I brought my car in the last time. I told him YES and he quickly moved on. Then he says ok..so its going to be $139 for the wheel alignment. WHAAAATTTT!! I came in for years because they would be honest and give me realistic quotes and even tell me if I could get something cheaper at the auto parts store myself. LeMark unselfishly and kindly brought sunshine to one of those days when most things go wrong. I live in Long Beach, CA. I'm in Lancaster on a low paying job to help catch up on bills. My normal line of work has been on strike since May 2023 and it's Dec 2023 today. My electric BMW just about ran out of electricity. It's the first time I've driven this far. I looked up charging stations. Thought it'd be an easy thing to fast charge and drive home. After driving to 6 different non working locations I hit my breaking point. Called on Thursday afternoon and pretty quickly was able to arrive at a number with Pedro, who told me he was the Sales Manager. He emailed me a credit application, proceeded to run my credit, and when we spoke again an hour later I was told "congratulations" over the phone and that he would immediately move the truck off of the front of the lot and put a SOLD sticker on it for me. I live three hours away and he said I could pick it up Saturday morning, no problem. Talked to the finance desk Friday, got in the car first thing Saturday morning and about halfway through the drive, received a text message from Pedro telling me that another sales manager had "sold the Tundra" to someone else on Friday, Pedro's day off. I can only imagine what transpired on Friday, after I had committed to a truck that had been sitting on the lot for two months, and coincidentally another person bought it out from under me. Review for Steven at Honda I recently brought my car into the Honda dealership because it was having trouble starting. They told me it would need to stay overnight and that I'd receive a full rundown of what was wrong the next day. The next day, I received a text saying they couldn't check anything because I needed a new battery. Fair enough--but that's not something that should take a full day to figure out. I brought my own battery to the dealership and intended to install it myself, since they wanted to charge almost $100 just to put it in, which I wasn't going to do. When I arrived, Steven went over a list of things they had checked, which confused us because we were told they couldn't check anything without a working battery. My husband asked Steven how they were able to inspect so many other things but not the actual issue we brought the car in for. Steven explained that all of that was just a "courtesy check," which is fine--but then why try to charge us? After I installed the battery myself and the car started up right away, we decided to take it home for now and monitor it ourselves. When I went back to Steven to let him know, he suddenly tells me there's a $100 charge. My husband pushed back, rightfully asking why we would be charged anything when no actual diagnostic was done, and everything else was supposedly a "courtesy" inspection. Steven went back and forth with us, saying he's not trying to charge the full $200 (which made no sense since no real service was provided). After we continued to question it, he finally gave in and said he'd ask the manager. Less than 10 seconds later, he came back and said there would be no charge. While we're glad we didn't end up being charged, it felt like a pushy attempt to charge for a service that wasn't completed. It came off as a commission-driven move rather than customer care. This experience didn't build trust--and I wouldn't feel confident returning unless there's major improvement in transparency and communication. read more

Dealership service is pricy, but you are getting OEM repairs, OEM equipment, from well trained staff. Why take ur auto to a mom n pops that has God' knows who, repairing your auto. Since covid, Many local small auto repair locations have had huge turn over of their technicians and they may not be as experienced as a dealership service department. Im happy with the service and repairs. I cant complain about the cost as this car is old... lots miles.... And still has much life in it. I appreciate the honesty about the repairs . I came in only for a water pump and power steering pump, but they found problems that I was already aware of. Talia kept in touch and had everything done asap. Dealership services have an unfair negative stigma often due to customers being unwilling to pay for necessary repairs. If you have stuff wrong with your auto, just pay for the damn service! Don't be a stingy tight a$$! I've owned many different auto... and currently own several. So far, My Hondas and Toyotas have had little to no problems. Never had any issues with my car and a month after I serviced my car, my car leaked all of its oil while driving back home on the freeway. Managed to exit just in time before it turned off. Had it towed to the dealership in which took a day to get any updates. Audra sucked at answering calls and when I did receive a text I got a video and "car is good" with no further explanation. I got a new battery at the end of February that I purchased from this Honda Dealership. In March all my warning light came on I called the dealership to take my car in to be looked at. I was told no because it was 4pm and they don't take anyone at that time. I took my car to auto zone to for a diagnostic to see what is the issue. Unfortunately the warning signs on my dash no longer appear. On my way to work yesterday the warning signs start up again on my car. I take it to auto zone for a diagnostic and I'm told it's the battery and if it's new. I said yes, I was told the system was never reset and to take to dealership and let them know. I took my car today. I arrive at 1pm and I speak to Steve. Who told me I need to drive my car for at least 80-100 miles for it to reset after I told him I had a new battery put in at the end of February so it's already past the 80-100 miles. I told him what auto zone and he said there is no such thing and I need to leave my car there for a week because they have a 'skeleton' crew on a Saturday. I question why would he need me to leave my car for a week for a skeleton crew for on a Saturday. Steven repeated again well they can't help me and for him to see what is wrong with my car it will be $200- I repeated it's the battery that I got from them. He also stated he will need the car minimum half day or all day to run diagnostic. I asked again why can't anyone do it today since it's 1pm and they didn't close until 5pm he stated they don't have anyone there since they run a skeleton crew. He doesn't have anyone to look at my car. Steven didn't want to help me. It was not busy there in fact there was hardly anyone there. It was the worst service ever. This is the second time I've been turned away for service on my car. This dealership lack of customer service is disappointing I've called the manager the first time I was turned away left him a message only to have a call back a week and a half later.
