Great gel manicure, the second time the younger girl really took her time. The older woman who had done my nails before was very rude. She basically got mad at me when i couldn't decide on a color and reminded me the last time i had difficulty choosing, i told her it was for my wedding pictures and she still had the same response of "you have to pick a color". I really did want to like this place and have been going consistently but my last visit was most likely my last. I called and asked for a powder manicure and a 20 minute chair massage. I paid $45 for a powder manicure that didn't last 3 days and it is supposed to last 3 weeks. Steer clear of the attempts at up-charging. Had a gel pedicure which was fine, but the just as the pedi was supposed to start, the stylist asked if I wanted the callous shaver. I asked if it was included in the price of the pedi and she very clearly said yes and when I went to pay, lo and behold an extra charge for the callous shaver was added. Ugh. read more

This place used to be great. Was inviting. People were nice. Now it's a mess. And the people who work there clearly don't know what they're doing. The owner just sits there and does nothing. Last week when I went I had my eyebrows waxed and she literally burnt my eye lid. The wax was too hot and she tore the skin off my eye. I now have 2nd degree burns and am on antibiotics. Went yesterday when they opened. Never met such a rude person in my life. Never greeted me. Abruptly said, "pick a colar" and I had my own. The woman who was either the owner or manager grabbed my own polish from my hand and treated my hands so roughly! She was awful. I've never been treated so terribly! Then "PAY NOW!" so I took out my cash and tipped her full 20%, there was no "thank you." Then when I went to dry, I asked if she could put the top dry coat on, she had one of the cleaning women who are not trained in nails do it! It just got worse and worse. I will never return and advise everybody not to go to Diamond. Go next door to Cozy. They smile, they greet you, they are so accommodating. I was there before 9:30 and Cozy wasn't there yet and I was in a hurry so I went to Diamond next door for a change. Never again!!!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am so disappointed with the way this place was managed. It was not pleasurable I really just wanted to leave the entire time. By the end, the service was not okay and I was rudely treated by the manager. I will not ever be coming back, and do not recommend it! Really like this salon. Smaller and more intimate than others nearby. Just six manicure chairs and seven pedicure chairs so it's not as hectic as others. Relaxing, peaceful, and great staff. Jackie is my favorite technician but all are good. Free massages are wonderful, too (please remember to tip your guy - usually $10). Gel nail dryers are conveniently built into nail stand so it's very easy to go through the whole process without damaging nails. Drying area is also relaxing, with convenient bag hooks and individual foot and hand dryers. Had a lovely gel manicure and spa pedicure plus free massage including tips for $110. Basic manicure is $10, spa/gel is $30, silk wraps with gel is $50, up to $90 for UV Gel Permanent French set. Basic pedicure is $20, French is $25, spa is $50 and well worth it! I've been going here for two years now and have always had a great experience. The salon is incredibly clean and comically tacky (as most reasonably priced nail salons are). I always get a gel manicure and a pedicure here, so I have no idea about their waxing or what not. The ladies, and one young man, who have done my nails have always been very kind and do a great job. Oftentimes, they'll do an extra third coat of color if they see it's needed, which I really like since I don't have to ask for it. During the manicure, someone will massage your shoulders for a good 5-10 minutes (depending on how busy it is) - a perk I always look forward to. If you're nails need to dry, someone will massage your neck and shoulders for a bit while you wait. At $25 for a gel manicure (only Mondays thru Thursdays though), you won't find a price anywhere near that in Greenwich - only in NYC have I ever found a gel manicure for $25. Down the Avenue, a gel manicure costs at least $50... Also, be sure to ask for a business card, on the back you can have them stamp it after each visit. Once you have 10 stamps, the next time you come you can have a free manicure or massage. read more

Nice people work here and they have good quality pedicures and deep massage BUT watch it if you are on a schedule. They will say they have a time for you and you can book an appointment that they say is confirmed then you spend a half an hour parking and then they will book a walk in, IN YOUR TIME SLOT--- EVEN if you are on time and have paid your meter. If you are a person with a busy schedule, this place is a risk. A tall order for the supply cabinet spa rooms and lack of amenities. It has happened to me three times-I will think twice before going back. Lots of competition in the area so I will think again. read more

I went to this nail salon for the first time this past monday on MLK to get my first gel nails done. The establishment had good reviews and upon entering was clean. What I noticed immediately was that my request to preserve the nail length regardless of the symmetry between fingers was ignored and my nails were filed down very short. In addition, once other clients arrived, I noticed that the lady helping me started rushing, only keeping my nails under the UV for brief periods of time. This was fine as I was happy with the way my nails looked afterwards. Unfortunately, less than a week later, my nail polish is peeling from the sides. From reading multiple reviews of gel nails I know that they should not fall apart so quickly and am now incredibly disappointed with this nail experience. read more

Recently moved to Greenwich and after searching for a nail salon I decided to give diamond nail & spa a try. It's hidden on the back of Greenwich Ave and so far every time I've come I've been seen right away! They also have men who give massages for free during your entire manicure, this service is completely based on tipping. I usually give $7-10. Aside from the free massage, I'm always happy with my manicure and pedicure from here. The gel manicures usually last 2-3 weeks. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Where do I start. Worse mani / pedi ever (ok maybe one other was really bad). I should have stopped at the pedi. All was well until applying the polish. So uneven, so careless. Not even the second coat or top coat would cover the sloppy job. I could and have done better for free! Nails, cuticle and sides were a hatchet careless wreck. I had to yell to stop her as she never applied a base coat. Male massage extremely painful and lasted 2 days of bruising. I thought ok deep tissue; I am to blame as these people are untrained and unlicensed. Kitschy decor was fine as it keeps away the babies, divas and cellphone hacks. But unfortunately there is a reason they don't go there and it is not the decor. Never again. One star for worse mani pedi and an extra ... No I am sticking to 1 star. read more

However, I received several gift certificates in 2015 (there is no expiration date on the certificate) when I went in today for a pedicure I was told they were two years old. Yes. I know 2015 minus 2017 is 2! Again NO EXPIRATION DATE. The total was $45.00. The lady said I could have a pedicure and she took the $45.00. DONE. That was it. The girl who did my pedicure would not listen to me when I tried to explain that I had surgery on my feet and my big toe overlaps so separating them was essential. Not listening to me at all. All the other ladies were offered water or whatever but I was ignored. When the nail polish from my big toe came off on the second toe it was a huge effort for her to repair it even though it was her fault to begin with! The prices are back to normal - $10 mani $20 pedi which is standard, or lower, than most in the area. There is consistently good service and everyone is so nice!! Save your money. Worst manicure I've ever received. I decided to try since I was in the area and didn't have time for my usual spot. Sometimes luck is not on your side and you get someone that doesn't do a great job. It happens. What annoyed me is when she messed up a nail, she put a glob on top to cover it, ensuring it would never dry. When I asked if they could just redo the nail they argued with me. Saying it was fine and that it looked thick bc of my nail. My manicure took 45 min. My friend started at the same time and was done 20 min before me. If you do take the risk and go. I would usually go to Cozy nails but they are always so busy so i decided to try out Diamond nails. They are never crowded when i go there which i actually enjoy. Im always greeted when entering and everyone was very pleasant. As of today i have been here a few times and really enjoy having the back massages but my nails always seem to chip after two days. I recieved a gift certificate this past mothers day so i am trying to use up the value and then will most likely be searching for a more relaxing nail salon. It seems like they never have the same girls there when i go and im the type of client who like to go to at least two of the same nail tech every time i go to a salon. It is a very clean and put together salon but they need some assistance with the decor. I always tip which of course is the correct thing to do, but everytime i tip the nail tech they seem to pick up the money and then ask am i also going to tip the massage person as well which i think is also rude. First time I moved to Greenwich and went there since it's right down the road. The ladies were nice but the tech that did my nails was very pushy to do UV gel. Mind you, I was only getting a fill and I did not use UV gel before this visit at my old nail salon. I decided to do it because she kept pressuring me. Bill came to $70! For a fill! Next time I went there I wanted to get a pedicure as well as another fill, but told the lady I'm only doing a powder fill which was listed $30! I'm not one to complain about prices at all however once I was finished my total was $60 for a fill again! The nail tech told me color is separate which she did not have listed nor told me before hand. My pedicure was normal price which was fine. I signed my bill and left no tip! She looked at the bill and said no service tip? She must be the owner because she is very rude and pushy! I am such a big tipper and last time left $20! however I felt very ripped off!
