I have been going to Queen Nails since 9th grade im 27 now so i very clearly think they are great! Linh is amazing so is her Sister Kim! I always get the nails i ask for and they are very friendly. If you talk to them they will talk to you. Also if my nails get messed up or i dont like how something turned out they are always very understanding and more than happy to fix the problem! A lovely Lady did my gel nails. They look great! I have short stubby nails - I rarely have my nails done because my hands are just a wasteland. However, I was attending a wedding at our place and I knew I'd be meeting lots of people. I also have lots of cuticle. In short, my nails are hideous. She gave me a lovely manicure, the gel polish looks perfect and I feel so ladylike. She's also a lovely person who dispensed very valuable parenting advice in a sweet gentle way. That's a bummer about the photo below but that wasn't my experience at all. My nails look really lovely. Update: I downgraded the rating to two stars. Why? because she slopped polish onto my cuticles while giving the gel manicure . That meant that as soon as my nails started growing the polish grew out and the polish started to peel from the bottom of my nail so an expensive manicure that would have lasted 4 weeks had I gotten it done by Tom's Napa Nails, lasted one week. I hope Tom is okay and that he is able to reopen! read more

I have been going to this shop for so many years (20+years so far). And these gorgeous, lovely sisters have always taken the very best care of me and EVERYONE I have sent to them. And I have referred many, many people, both men and women to their shop. I am feeling compelled to chime my view on this topic due to the couple of negative reviews I saw here. I am sorry if any of these ladies had a bad experience. I am in no way trying to invalidate anyone else's perspective. I just wanted my positive perspective and experiences I have had all these years noted as well. I also wanted to mention that one reviewer stated their having "shorty shorn hair" and I am not certain the relevance of the length of Lynn & Kim's hair or what that has to do with any service they provide. By the way, the reason for their very short buzz cuts started with them donating their shorn hair for cancer folks and then they continued to keep it cut...as a symbol of devotion they believe in their personal religion. That just seemed like such an unnecessary, petty and unkind remark, I thought I would clarify on that point. As for their services, as mentioned, I have been a very happy customer for over 20 years now. At Christmas I get gift certificates for all my buddies and they all love it. I have no doubt perhaps we all might look for different expectations when we patronize our local small shops here. Hopefully y'all will give them a whirl. Just moved to Napa from Texas and have been trying to find a nail salon. Decided to come in and check this place out and boy I wish I didn't. I walked in and asked for a gel manicure. They had probably 2 circle wheels of not so great colors to choose from. I ended up finding mine and was told to sit at a booth with a women who did not say a single word to me. Just pointed when she wanted me to do stuff. My shellac looks awful. I walked out with uneven lengths and shapes in my nails and the shellac gel was all over my skin I had to come home and try to get it off. Worst part about it was that When she was doing my nails with her tools she made me bleed on accident and then after she was done with my manicure she just rinsed her tools off and put them away. Queen Nails! The best 45 min Mani/Pedi in Napa! Lee scrubbed, exfoliated, massaged and moisturized! My 2nd time there, and after many, many years of others, is the best yet! I have never been this impressed! Seems as if salons are charging you for the privilege of those "massage chairs", but the result isn't thorough. Queen Nails has the massage chairs as well, but more importantly, it's all about the quality and time they take to make those less than perfect digits look and feel amazing! My feet were moist, perfectly groomed and perfectly polished Loooove! This shop takes pride in their services. Engaging and interested with their customers!...never heard them engaging with eachother (you know what I mean, right?) The manicures/fills by Lynn are equally as impressive. Definitely a 5. Went here on a Friday as a walk in appointment. I was lucky to be seen right away by Lin for a Pedi/mani. Pedi was great. The foot/leg massage was unforgettable. She must've spent 5-8 min on each leg and then massaged both simultaneously! It was so nice. I got a gel manicure and that also came with a wonderful hand massage. By far the worst manicure I've ever had. Was 55 dollars for a pedi and gel manicure and the polish chipped off before I even left the salon. The Polish was also all over my skin and painted very carelessly. I politely asked her to fix and she didn't. Not to mention they used a funnel to recycle the acetone (nail polish remover) after my nails had been soaking in it. Gross! Very confused on how they have 4 stars. read more

I was so happy with my beautiful mani pedi until a few days later when my thumb nail got jammed and fell off so easily. Then I noticed the polish on my big toe chipped off and the cute little jewel in the middle of my flower was gone too. Less than a week of getting my toes done. I'm not that rough on my nails and feet & I'm not sure she even put a top coat on my toes since I was getting a mani right after. I know even when I do my own toes the polish doesn't come off that fast! They were really nice though, not too rough on my nails which was awesome. The massage chairs were difficult to adjust but maybe I just got the wrong chair. I probably wouldn't go back (well I probably would!) I brought my mom and cousin in at around 9:15 am (they open at 9 am) on a Saturday morning, thinking we'd beat the weekend rush. I figured 2 manicures wouldn't take too long. When we came in there was one person getting her nails done, and we only saw one employee so we contemplated going elsewhere. (Because my mom doesn't speak English I was the one asking for services.) I told the lady what they wanted, and she called another lady from the back. We were told to wait a little for the second manicure, and since my little cousin had already been seated we took a seat. My little cousin wanted french tip, and the lady kindly recommended gel because it lasts longer. (Also it costs $5 more, and anything to make an extra buck right?) As the lady was finishing my little cousin's nails, another customer walked in and she must be a regular because they greeted her by name. When she finished my little cousin's nails we thought it would be my mom's turn but she was told to wait, as they seated the customer who had just walked in. (I don't know if she had an appointment set for the time she walked in, or if they simply take regulars over new customers.) Whatever, we waited for the first lady to finish. My mom wanted regular polish on her nails because she she's not a fan of gel, and when I told the lady she wanted regular polish she seemed a little irritated. The lady then proceeded to say that because it was just polish, she would only paint her nails and wouldn't soak her nails or remove the cuticles. (For that I could have painted my mom's nails at home myself.) I thought it was strange so I asked what she needed to do in order to get her nails soaked and cuticles removed. The lady proceeded to say that she needed to get gel polish in order for her to get all of that, and you guessed it, it would cost more. I found that very strange. My mom had already taken a seat and she wanted her nails filed, soaked, and cuticles removed so she went ahead and chose a gel color. As my mom was getting her nails done, 2 customers who apparently have weekly appointments walked in. This is when it started to really feel rushed. The lady doing my mom's nails interrupted her service at least twice to set the regular customers up with their manis and pedis. I found this a little annoying. I mean, aren't they all paying customers? Why does one person paying for the same service have to have their nail time interrupted over another? This end part really made the whole experience feel a bit off. I felt bad for my mom because she doesn't normally get her nails done, and that day she just wanted to have some nice/relaxing girl time with my little cousin. She didn't complain about a thing while we were there or even after we left (she even said she really enjoyed her hand massage, this is the only reason they are receiving 2 stars), she changed what she wanted done in order for her to get a nice treatment, and she even tipped the ladies after she paid. I definitely wouldn't come back to this place or bring my mom back. Why would I want to spend money on a place that isn't very friendly, seems very greedy with money, and doesn't respect a customer's time? read more

Pedi was done so well massage was great and nails were painted perfectly. Mani was just as great I wish this place was closer to home. I would definitely recommend this place. So I'm actually going to contact state board about this incident. I had made an appointment, and came in and it was very slow. I was the only in there I guess because of the napa quake. (It was the same week) Anyways I got a fill and pedicure and right after they painted my nails they said they have to leave because of their commute. I asked for plastic flip flops and the said they were out and that I had to leave. I said ok and started putting on my shoes and they told me not to and insisted I walk barefoot to my car. I wasn't parked super close and told them that and they insisted I leave. I'm a licensed Cosmo myself so I know this goes against state board let alone moral/ethical reasoning. read more

What a great find! My coworker and I needed to get fills and she needed a pedi on our lunch breaks. There was about a 10 minute wait, and we are both very happy with the service we received! She got a fill and pedi for only $35!! My fill was $15. Their credit card machine minimum is $20 which sucks, but I just included the tip for an even $20. We'll definitely be back here! Cant beat the location, and price! Plus they didnt seem to rush through clients either which is refreshing. read more

I went into Queen Nails this past Saturday for my birthday. I had called ahead to make an appointment for a pedicure and a set of gel nails. I started with the pedicure and it was what I paid for, mediocre but definitely not bad and the french came out great. Otherwise the massage was lacking. My bad experience came when it was time to do my nails. I only wanted a french gel overlay to match my toes. I bite my nails so having the gel on them really helps. The girl spent 10 minutes arguing with me saying my nails were too short to do gel on. I know they're short but all I wanted was an overlay, and being a cosmetologist I know it could be done since I used to do them on myself! Once she finally agreed to do it (after telling me she would but they won't look good) she was so rough on my cuticles and made every single one inflamed (4 of them even bled). Then I discovered they only use gel polish, not actual gel, which ok that's fine, I was done arguing at this point. They don't use orangewood sticks to go around your nail after application, so some of the polish dripped over onto my fingers and is now lifting. The prices are good but not worth the pain my poor fingers endured and I didn't even get what I wanted. I would have walked away with no nails if I knew it was going to be such a hassle to get what I asked for. read more

I'm sitting here waiting for my nails to dry and I already see smudged polished. I dnt think the girl that did my pedi apply even polish on my nail. I predict my polish will chipped off within a couple of days. My last pedi last me almost 6 wks w out any polished chipped or came off. It just grows out. Of course that was in LA. Sigh..... Based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to try out Queen Nails, which is very close to my house - so convenient! I had a gel fill today with Lee. The salon is clean and comfortable. I can't wait to try out the pedi chairs...They look new and ready to make you relax. I really think Lee put a lot of effort and time into my nails. I was able to call ahead and got in within the hour. They accept walk-ins - another plus. I also noticed every person in the salon was a "regular" - that says a lot about a salon. When I read the negative reviews, I wonder...did they ever go back or call and ask for the problem to be remedied? I started going here when I would take my Mom in to have her nails done. Even at 94 she wanted her nails ro look beautiful. Lyn, Lee and Kim are all fantastic. My Mother always went to Lyn, and she treated Mom as if she was part of her family. While I waited I finally got hooked into having a pedicure and manicure with Lee. I only saw men in there a couple of times, but after a few times, it didn't matter anymore. My Mother has passed on now, but I will continue to enjoy the gray service they provide. And their prices are great also. read more
