I'm new to the area and felt like treating myself to a manicure on a Saturday morning. I called The Nail Spa as a result of it's terrific reviews, and they fit me right in. I already sampled 2 salons in the area over the last 8 or so weeks, and was disappointed with the timeframe the gel colors lasted. My nails broke as well over the few weeks. For the first time (even though I enter my appointment discussing my weak nails and past experiences), this was the first time I was told about the dipping powder. I felt listened to, my concerns mattered, and my manicure was done by a welcoming, gentle gentleman who did an excellent job. I've been several times so my review is very fair. Pedicure is different depending on who does it. One older lady is amazing. She at least takes time to clean up the dead skin around your toenails. The other one didn't do that. Manicures do not include nail soak with cuticle treatment. When you leave your cuticles don't look freshly manicured at all. One of the nail guys is really rough with the nail files and buffers. Each time I left, I had cuts from the tools he used. One time I had an appointment and they took a walkin in for acrylic nails. I ended up having to wait and spent just over 2 hours there. read more

I only needed a simple pedicure - so I cannot rate all the services. First - the salon is very clean and looks great. I received the basic pedicure which was excellent. I am missing a toe-nail and the woman still trimmed the cuticle and was careful enough to not bother my injury. My nails were done as well as they have been. I went in for a pedicure & manicure last Wednesday. The nails looked good & no problem with quality of the job done. I did have problem with woman who did my pedicure, she made me feel like an ugly piece of shit. She started by saying my nails were way to short & said it numerous times & when I was going to get my manicure she told that lady I wanted longer nail put on. I didn't ask for this & said no. Before my pedicure she looked at my face & went on about how awful my eyebrows were & made a disgusted face when commenting about them & said over & over again. She brought the wax over after pedicure & did my eyebrows. I didn't say anything because I felt they must be so bad so let her do it but after that she pointed above my lip & again with awful disgusted face pointed to hair & put wax above lip without asking. I came in to make me feel better getting nails done & I couldn't enjoy pedicure or manicure because she made me feel so ugly before it even started. I have a terrible image of my body already & this was a terrible experience. I know you are trying to get more sales but this was done completely wrong. read more

This is by far the best nail salon in town. I promise you whoever your nail guy is, they're not better than Kit and his crew at The Nail Spa. They are always friendly and perfectly execute whatever crazy idea I have for my nails. Kit shapes acrylics better than any nail technician I've ever seen in the 12 years I've been getting my nails done, whether I want short and square or long stilettos. He knows his regulars by first name, and after a several month hiatus of letting my natural nails breathe, I came in and he remembered me immediately and asked about my family and my job that he had remembered. My sister and I came in for a 1pm appointment, both for manicures (healthy nail) I started mine with a very rude man who was rough with my hands. My sister sat waiting for her manicure. Finally after about 30 minutes (up until this point the other two nail techs were busy with other customers) someone comes over and says "the guy who is supposed to do your nails isn't here, so you'll just wait for your sister to finish and go after her". We politely declined, saying that she could not wait an entire hour to get her nails done, esp not while other walkins were being served ahead of her. They said "well you just have to wait what's the big deal?" Like, I get that things happen but it's pretty bad practice too not communicate that there is an issue up front, and to just assume that waiting an hour is an option (had we known the issue, we would have rescheduled - no problem). Also - not a single person apologized to her. They just kept saying "he's not here just wait." Just a simple apology for the change in plans and lack of communication would have gone a long way. We ended up going to Oasis and had a lively experience with them. read more

Why is it that you find a place that does a good job, it's convenient to my home and work, but then you make an appointment. Get there on time, booked mani pedi. As I'm having my pedi, they took TWO walk-ins leaving nobody available to do my mani. I was given one apologetic look but nothing more. Had to wait additional 30 minutes for appointment manicure. My biggest regret is not saying anything before I left. It's sad that so many businesses do a good job, but they know nothing about customer satisfaction or loyalty for that matter. I like to find a place and stick with them, but not this time! read more

I had a gel manicure today, horrible! I don't know the guys name but he was done with my manicure in 10 minutes...... did not even cream my hands when he was finished. He looked at his phone most of the time. very unprofessional! For $32 I certainly expected better service. The place has gone downhill since when they opened. Everthing was dirty! The final product is wonderful. However, the unbeknownst heightened cost and lack of services provided is warranting a low rating. I received a gel manicure with the "cat eyes" effect, without any additional services for over $40. I believe that is a rather high charge without offering water, hand massage, etc. Needless to say, there are other salons in the sea. read more

Not my regular nail place but I needed a quick polish change for the evening. Mediocre at best. I was charged for a full manicure and didn't get much of what comes with a typical mani. I also asked for my nails to not be filed and he did so anyhow; I wanted the bits of leftover polish to be cleaned with polish remover and it wasn't, he used clear polish and wiped. Elegant salon. Super friendly staff. Clean. They were very accommodating. I was a walk in and they sat me within 5 min. I received a pink and white fill.
