This hotel has brand new everything, the rooms are sparkling clean with literally brand new beds, floors, ceilings, and plumbing fixtures. The atrium is completely new and beautiful. The pool is also sparkling clean with new pool lights and a new skylight providing nice ambient lighting. It is so handy to a variety of restaurants-- from fancy to funky to fast food. There is a Rouse's less than a mile away, so if you need a little shopping you are all set. The beautiful big oaks make its setting so pretty and the complementary breakfast was quite good. Some years back, hurricane Katrina tried to shut this hotel down but it is back and better than ever! read more

I used Travelocity to book the room without checking Yelp! first. My review is more of the same that's been posted. The first room (#255) had the AC vent fall off the front and back of the unit, and it did not work. The filters were filthy. The vents were dusty, and the bathtub was atrocious. The mattress had holes in it, and the floors weren't vacuumed. The remote to the antique TV only had one battery. Baseboards were coming off the wall. We were moved to #244. We didn't even unpack. There was no mattress protector on one bed, and the mattress was full of stains. Sleep in your car; not here. read more

Do not stay here even if you have to drive a little further. I drove for 10+ hrs and I wish I would have drove a little further. This place is very nasty and the pillows smell like mold . The bath tub clogs up so bad u cant even enjoy your shower you littlerly have to hurry up.and get cleaned before the tub over flows because it wont drain. The ceiling is coming down. We couldnt even get into.the room at first because the door was stuck shut. And there is a gap between the door and the frame. Theres cracks everywhere like they just dont care about their place. DO NOT STOP HERE! DO NOT STAY HERE! We drove 7 hours and looked EVERYWHERE from mobile to New Orleans for a hotel and we had the unfortunate luck of getting a room here. When we stopped, the lady who was clearly a tweaker, gave us hotel keys for room 255. We pull around back, unload our stuff and head to the room. Come to find out, that room was under construction. So at 1am, we are sitting outside with all of our stuff. We go back to the front desk and she gives us keys for room 263. We go in and there is no a/c or heat. So we go BACK to the front desk and she gives us keys for 229 and 256. We tried 229 and it seemed like a better suite so we took it. What a mistake. We go in and notice there's no phone or towels. So I went to the office to ask for towels and she said they were working on drying some now and would bring us some. We waited two hours. It was now 3am. We decided to just goto bed. As the night went on, the smells of the hotel and room started to catch up. These beds/blankets couldn't have ever been washed a day in their existence. Disgusting. I slept on some of my clothes because I was nervous. Morning comes around, 8:30am, and we go down to the front office for towels again. That morning tweaker said "housekeeping will be in about 9am and they will start working on towels." Come on, we just need some DANG TOWELS!!! this whole experience really ruined our weekend. read more

If I could give them more stars because the staff is super friendly (nothing but love for the staff )but.... there was visible daylight through the door telling me there's no insulation, the bathroom toilet rocked and leaked. I had to call down to the main office with my cell phone to complain about the leakage. Their phones were out I don't think they've been "in" since like 1999. The pillows were unevenly shaped the bed had weird lint& stains on it and made us bring in our sleeping bags to sleep on. Again it's not the staffs fault but then maybe it could be if they were paid more they would do their job and stuff. Gross pictures to follow- also if my daughter were to accidentally barge in on me on the toilet ... she would have taken off a toe or two. Mistake 1. I trusted the pictures on the website and Priceline. Mistake 2. I paid through Priceline. Mistake 3. I didn't look at the reviews here first. None of these things will ever happen again. This place is a sh!thole. Literally. Like, if you live in a 30 year old travel trailer in the woods, or your car or you're a heavy IV drug user, it might be acceptable. Everyone else take heed. We pulled up and were immediately hit with broken down cars in the parking lot, raggedy chairs and toys everywhere. The place looks like a shantytown outside with distrustful shantytown people everywhere to set the scene. They looked like extras from The Hills Have Eyes and all eyes were on us. I did not feel safe leaving the dog in the car for the time we went to check in, thinking I'd come back out to find him roasting on a spit over a fire. But, looks can be deceiving. I go inside and begin to check in. The room isn't clean the girl says. The decor in the lobby isn't horrible but there is the stench of cigarette smoke. The single shining star here was the front desk staff. They were helpful and nice however, it was like a bandaid for a compound fracture. While waiting I go to the restroom down the hall from the lobby. Half an inch of water on the floor from ratty kids running in and out from the pool. A massive dump in the first toilet from it being broken. The second toilet has pee all around it, on it, on the walls from the previously mentioned ratty kids. I go back out and our room is clean. She gives me the key and we drive around to the back. It is in the atrium which is "non-smoking". We walk in, up the stairs and into room 245. The room temperature was cool, so there's that. The carpet was stained and ratty. The bed looked clean but with plenty of cigarette burns in the comforter and sheets. Once I turned the sheets back to look for bedbugs we were met with at least a half dozen hairs of varying sizes and shapes. My gag reflex kicked in and I had to step back. The love of my life stepped in but she was already giving me the "oh hell to the naw" look. She pulled the fitted sheet back from the corner. No bedbug cover on the mattress and the mattress looked like maybe it had been recovered from the side of I-10 and put to good use, probably by the caravan people who were camped outside. I have no doubt they are the minions I'd the owner of this little feces oasis in south Mississippi. The good part is, we didn't find any bedbugs. But we didn't look super hard. I can't imagine they weren't there. The place was disgusting, damp and smelled like a half full Mountain Dew bottle that had been used as an ash tray for 6 months and after 3 minutes in the room I needed a shower. I would have taken one there but trench rot was a very real possibility. My lady opens a the drawer on the bedside table. "This is gross" she says, and it was. "You aren't sleeping in the drawer" I say sheepishly. She was already sneezing and her eyes were watering from the cigarette smoke. This was a no go. She can't take being around smoke. We had zero alternatives, none. We were 600 miles from home with nowhere to stay. We leave the room, I go back to the desk and tell them we need a refund. "Can I ask why?" The girl says. "It's gross and smells like smoke. We specifically asked for non-smoking". "Yeah they smoke everywhere." The girl says, and gives me a "whaddaya gonna do?" Look. Here's where Priceline comes in. She tries to give me a refund but couldn't because I paid through Priceline. Ok, cool, I think. I'll just call Priceline and get a refund right? WRONG! 5 miles down the road at a rest stop I find out the reality. Priceline says the hotel has a "no refunds" policy. I tell Priceline the hotel is a scam. It's an absolute dump and they are suspect for even representing such a place and having the pictures on their website. I get a dispute number. When I hang up I laugh. Even if we have to sleep in the car we are better off. Even if I have to eat the $140.00 for the room. We are better off. I have no idea when either of us have had a tetanus shot. The dog is up on his Rabies vaccine so he's pretty safe. But I feel like we dodged a bullet with this cesspool of a waste of real estate. Luckily we found an Airbnb in downtown New Orleans. Wonderful place and we spent a great 2 days in the area. Disaster averted! In summation, this sinkhole of a place is using Priceline to scam people with their "no refunds" policy. They don't want you to stay. They make their money either way and Priceline goes right along with it. This makes Priceline a sh!thole by association. They make their dough by fleecing decent people who would never even think of staying here and then double rent the rooms to the shanty people. It had an indoor pool n a huge indoor hot tub.Tho the cement in the indoor hot tub is a bit ruff on the skin,its still very nice .I figure its for insurance n safety reason, so people wont get hurt slipping..The customer service was fantastic !!.Chris allowed me to get a downstairs room ,even tho room I booked was upstairs.Being a mature gentleman he realized tat would be much more helpful tho I didnt request it.He was also very helpful in telling me what places were open to eat at. The absolute worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were only so-so clean, the toilet was stopped up and was running all night, it had black mold on the bathroom ceiling. The phone didn't even have a wire and was filthy dirty. The "control" to the tv never worked I think it was only there for show. And people were loud and partying right outside the door. We had an interior room and we could hear the rowdy drunk people at the pool all night. The room did not have A phone so we could not call the front desk. The hotel allows smoking indoors and it smells like cigarettes everywhere. The room itself was non-smoking and fortunately smelled ok. The clientele was nice enough but we saw several people smoking and drinking indoors at 8 am Sunday morning. Under 40 women who were referred to by their family members as grandma were also aplenty. If you are a redneck you may consider this hotel a 5 star resort!! read more

I know Katrina hit this area extremely hard and many buildings were destroyed or badly damaged and remained empty for months. This Inn is very badly damaged, unsafe, a fire hazard, virtually no maintenance dept, and worthless housekeeping. Torn pieces of paper will tell you your room number. Katrina was 10yrs ago so it was hard for me to be sympathetic to the male staff present. I chewed his ass out but at the same time felt like strapping on a tool belt and give these clowns direction. JUST DON'T!!! I booked through Hotels.com and it looked great I was told it was called Ramada by Wyndham, I am not sure if they are changing names or what but if they are it is definitely a bad investment by Wyndham . We were meeting my dad in Biloxi, over Memorial Day weekend, he lives in GA and we live in Central Texas so this was close enough to Biloxi to avoid beach traffic if we went any further. The staff is super nice and friendly. We had originally booked a double because we had friends going with us but at the last minute they cancelled so when we got there we asked if we could trade for a king and they had no issue with that. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and beer. The pillows were as thin as two ply tissue paper. We asked the staff if we could get another pillow, she said housekeeping would bring it. They never showed up. I went to Dollar General across the street and bought some. Housekeeping never showed up the 3 days we were there. On the last day they did bring us 2 clean towels. They act like towels come out of their pay. We were only give 2 to begin with. The bed comes with sheets and a very thin sheet like bedspread. I am glad I brought a blanket in the car with me. The furniture is all dinged up, even the picture frame, it's like they got the furniture and decor off the side of the road. The carpet was stained and dirty, the tub was stained, the toilet rocked. The phones are there for show only. Our first room and last room the phones did not work. The only positive I can think of was the air worked well. The parking lot was dirty and I can't be certain but I am sure drug users and dealers hang out there which doesn't surprise me because I think this motel is one step above a trap house. Not that I have ever been in a trap house but I have heard stories. We would have quickly cancelled our reservation and gone elsewhere but it was Memorial Day weekend so I am not sure we could have found something. Just horrible place. read more

Unless you are desperate don't stay here. Every review I read on this place was 100% accurate. One thing I noticed was the light coming from the bathroom vent. Upon future inspection I noticed it was the maintenance space between the rooms. I could see into the maintenance space. So I guess the maintenance guy can stand in his maintenance space and watch what is going on in the bathrooms. (BATES MOTEL). The amount of DNA deposited in this room is ridiculous. At least change the sheets between guest. Blood stain on mattress. Bullet holes in wall. Please read all reviews for this "crack" hotel. The pictures online looks great. However the experience is horrendous. We left after only 3 hours. The rooms and building have BLACK MOLD in the hallways and rooms. Peeling walls, broken air conditioner, creepy vibe. Even our dog wanted out of there! Beds are stiff, worn down and squeaky. Hot tub-Yellow, Luke warm and broken. We stayed three hours, Got our money back and moved to a new hotel. The owner is the problem. We were one of the lucky ones who actually got our money back instead of being shown another room. Policy you cannot get a refund. The woman in the front was understanding and extremely kind. She was able to only do so much. Thank goodness she called and we got out with our money back. We stayed at this joke of a hotel back in the beginning of June. Here we are 2 1/2 months later still fighting this place for a refund! First of all, upon checking in, the first rooms AC was broken. It was a whopping 76° in there!! There were no pillows on the bed, but there were pillow cases. The TV was on as if someone had just been in there prior! We notified the front desk of the issues and they stated someone would be by with pillows and to fix the AC. We had 4 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant for our stay. They brought TWO pillows. The majority of our party had an event to go to nearby, one of the adults stayed behind as she was pregnant and the event was outdoors and she was suffering from exhaustion from the drive in earlier from NC. The plan was for her to stay behind in the AC and relax by the pool. Naturally, as the AC was broken, that did not happen. An hour went by and no one had came to fix the AC, so this particular guest had to LEAVE THE HOTEL and go across the street to waffle house for relief. Completely unacceptable! Upon the entire group returning, the front desk informed us that the AC was fixed. We got to the room and SHOCKER, still unfixed! And now the thermostat read 78°. So not only was it not fixed, it was 2° hotter. We went back to the front desk, and were switched to the room beside the previous one. While moving our belongings, the other guests lounging by the pool area would not stop staring, to the point we were uncomfortable and did not feel safe. Upon entering the second room, we were hit with a mildew smell immediately! Upon walking into the bathroom, the vent fan was dangling from the ceiling. After seeing this, our group split off. 2 adults, one of the toddlers and the infant decided to just head home as they would not have their young children in these conditions. Understandable! The other 2 adults and baby decided to try and just make due desperately needing rest after the 10 hour drive to this places and the days event. The baby was fussy, so we decided to try the pool. What could possibly be wrong with an indoor pool!?!? First of all, the water was GREEN, like hadn't been cleaned in years type of green. Second of all, IT WAS FREEZING, to the point there was no way we would put our child in it to suffer had the water not been green! There was also a group in the hot tub smoking, despite all the no smoking signs throughout the hotel! We immediately told the desk and they said this group has already been told over and over about it! Clearly, they could not be bothered to do something further. At this point, that was the final straw!!! My son was 6 months at the time and has asthma and needs breathing treatments! Being around smoke in enclosed spaces like that is detrimental to his health!! That night, he needed an extra breathing treatment, and anyone who has dealt with infant asthma, knows the treatments are expensive and traumatizing for them!! We went to check out and asked the desk for a refund, the woman was very rude and said we wouldn't be receiving a refund due to a cold pool and people smoking! Completely ignoring the other complaints we had, but sure, let's focus on those two! Despite her rudeness, we still demanded a call from the owner to discuss. Come July, we still had not heard. We have called numerous times to speak to him and each time our name was put on a running "list" of people for him to call. At this point, enough was enough. This place did not provide the service we paid for, so we started the dispute process with our bank. Which leaves us to now, middle of August. Another month and a half went by and now this place is disputing our refund. Stating it is non refundable and completely dismissing all of our complaints. In their response they have played down the smoking by the pool which is extremely disrespectful due to my sons condition! All in all, we were at this dump for a grand total of not even 2 hours. The whole reason we chose this place was the indoor pool for the kids and the fact it was a "suite" and we would all be together! If we had known, we would have stayed at the Econo Lodge down the street!!! read more

Second, there was leaks all over the ceiling in the main entry of the hotel. Also, the hot tub looked absolutely disgusting. It didn't look like it was kept up and green. We received a few towels when we got to the room. Not enough for us to go to the pool and then both shower later. I went up to the lobby to ask for an extra towel (just one extra towel would have been great) and she tells me that they have absolutely no towels that are clean in the hotel at the moment. We stayed one night bc we had to evuacte but never again here. The room had cockroaches running across the foor. The pillows had mold on them the table in the room had mold on it. When we settled into room 151, the toilet over flowed and sink didn't drain. The toilet didn't have a strong enough to flush. The pool and hot tub were occupied by children till 10pm so we never got to enjoy. TV/cable had no special channels like HBO, Mostly News channels.No continental breakfast and the coffee pot didn't have coffee in it that afternoon for the next day's morning at 8am. This had to be the worst stay we have ever had in diamond head. This motel is more like a motel 6. Complete with allnight revolving door "live-in" people doing transactions in parking lot. Not to mention husband being "approached" for "a light" for a cigarette. There were no towels of any kind, shampoo, trash liners. It was just empty. Bathroom door had red muck on the inside that looked like it had been missed for a long time. When we went to front desk they were non-committal as I am sure they are tired of hearing complaints. It was raining outside so therefore it was raining inside. Water coming from everywhere, even light fixtures in main hall. The pool hadn't been treated in a long long time (see pic) and was green as grass also full of broken glass from "sky-light". We were expecting much more from a windom ad we were charged "wyndom prices" because of fathers day weekend. These rooms rate about 50 bucks a night at best. This property should be condemned and "that is not" an understatement. Also bags of trash were everywhere outside. I guess they quit paying for trash service a long time ago. read more

I would rate this hotel 0 stars if the app let me. I purchased a room (254) on 13 April 2018 and found a hand sized blood stain on the bed sheet. When I brought it to the attention of the hotel manager she laughed and said house keeping would bring a new sheet. I requested a refund and was denied. I left and stayed elsewhere. I suppose it is possible that there are rooms better that the one we had here. (i posted a couple of photos) There were no lampshades, half the bulbs were burnt out (they eventually partially fixed this problem). No trash can until after asking for one 4 times. You can see in the photos how disgusting the bathroom is. They never fixed the telephone (asked them to 5 times). No iron, microwave, fridge. IF YOU HAVE ATHSMA or allergies stay away!!! Our room had actively growing mold because the heating/cooling unit leaked into the carpet. They never cleaned our room. I asked them repeatedly to send someone to clean whatever was dried on the bathroom door but they didn't. We booked this hotel for two nights and only stayed because I hate to waste the money. I will never go back and can't recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't stay there again even if it was free. I have stayed in some dumps before but never as bad as this. read more

This was by far, the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed at. There were cockroaches in one room, termites in another, hair floating in the pool, a hot tub that was (shudder) a filthy breeding ground. The toilet in our second room was cracked, the shower curtain was moldy, the ceiling vent for the ac was broken and the filthy. Our first room had lights falling from the ceiling and a heat lamp in the bathroom that was dangling, too. The remote for the tv didn't work and the smell was just bad. Frankly the smell throughout the hotel was horrible. So horrible in fact that we cranked the ac in an attempt to circulate some of the smell out of our room. All of this was bad enough, but we were quoted a price, paid, and confirmed the balance remaining, not once but on three different occasions AND received a written confirmation from the hotel staff. Upon checking in, we were charged an additional $100.00. When we spoke to management about it, the general manager told us he would not honor their commitment. He told me we did not have anything in writing despite the fact that we had (and still do) the receipt from the the hotel itself with a balance due of $100.00 less that what we were charged. Later he came to our room and asked if we wanted the new numbers he penned on a piece of paper. I said no, and he quite literally threw the paper on the floor in our room. Such a good motel. Some of the rooms are newly renovated and others are under construction. You can tell that it is an old building but the staff is really doing their best to get the building to where it should be. The staff is so amazing!! Really nice people. Fair & honest rates. For the price... I can't believe people complain. It is a cozy room. Very clean. The bed is comfortable, and so I'm happy!

So we booked this hotel 24 hours in advance for my parents trip down to LA. We booked a 2 bedroom suite, so that we could be in the same room and the whole point of getting this hotel was because of the indoor pool so my 4 year old could go swimming. When we arrived we were informed that because someone hadn't taken our reservation from booking and put it in their system our original room was given away. The night staff got us sorted out, offered us a $20 discount and ended up putting us in two double rooms next to each other with outside access. Not ideal, but was better than nothing. The room was ok, very dated, but at 10pm with two small children for what we though was $62 per room we decided not to be choosy. The next morning my dad tried to call our room from the hotel phone and found that the phone didn't work. The wifi was also so slow when he finally got connected he couldn't do anything. The took our 4 year old swimming in the morning and The pool was freezing, so cold my 4 year old wouldn't even get in it. I decided to see how the hot tub was and found it to be slightly warmer than the pool, by no means hot so I decided to let her swim in there. After about 10 minutes her eyes started burning from all the chlorine, in honestly surprised it took 10 minutes because I could barely stand the fumes. We decided to head back to the room and take a nice hot shower. The hot water lasted maybe 10 minutes, so I was barely able to get both our hair and bodies washed. The thing that REALLY pissed us off was when we went to check out. My parents went into drop off our keys and get a receipt. The $20 discount that the ladies gave us the night before was taken away by the gentleman at the desk in the morning. He stated that he contacted booking.com as soon as we booked the room to inform them that the room was unavailable and that booking.com had been trying to contact us for the last 24 hours, which was complete bull shit because I used my cell phone# and email which I do from my phone and I did not get a single call or email. He then said he couldn't offer us the discount. Overall, this hotel was a complete joke and had dismal rooms with piss poor customer service. Edit- so after reading reviews on yelp we found one from 11 days ago saying they got bed bugs! Yay! Now I get to spend my evening decontaminating my clothes/bags/car/car seats!! read more

We booked a room here last Saturday for Valentine's because it was also Mardi Gras in New Orleans so no other hotels ANYWHERE between Metairie to Mobile AL. Our only reason for even booking a room was for the private jacuzzi. I went through booking.com and booked the suite with a description of spa bath AND bath/shower! I'm including a screen shot of the room description. If I see that it states SPA BATH AND BATH/SHOWER then I expect to see 2 bathing areas inside the room. Didn't happen. We arrived, got the key and went to inspect the room. Tiny bathtub. That's it. So I went downstairs to talk to the front desk. Told him the problem and he said he'd have to call his GM. I said ok I'll wait right here. Approximately 2 minutes later he returns saying that his GM said that they aren't responsible for the photos nor descriptions on any website other than their own. So I'd have to call booking.com. So I did. And SHE said they don't upload photos nor descriptions for the over 500,000 hotels they book for and that the actual hotels take care of that and are responsible for their own description and/or photos. So now we're caught between booking.com and this place trying get to get out money refunded for a room we didn't even use. When I hung up with booking.com we turned over the keys and left. Why stay in a room that didn't have the ONLY thing we were renting it for? I'd rather sleep in my own clean comfortable bed 20 minutes away! And also included in that room description is 2 flat screen tvs...there was ONE TV from 1992 in the living area and the picture quality was about like using a busted rabbit ears antenna that's been taped back together. Not sure where we go from here but I'm posting reviews on every site plus contacting the BBB along with every other agencies that should be aware of this hotel falsely misrepresenting its rooms and advertising amenities it doesn't have and refusing to refund the reservation amount when you see you've been duped and choose not to stay! read more

Sleeping on the floor would've been better than the pullout couch bed. Saw a large bug on the couch. No breakfast. No enough towels. Outdated and not very clean. The "hot tub" was pool temperature and the pool was cold. read more

Really nice for the price. Loved the hot tub in the indoor Atrium. Comfortable room was also located inside the Atrium which overlooked the swimming pool. Ate at the Red Zone next door. Beautiful area with giant Oak trees all around. read more
