This is our 2nd time here. They're always polite, professional and very friendly. They make my son and I feel welcome and relaxed. Jenny was very good! I'm happy with my nails and they look amazing! However, she was filing a little bit too hard and ended up nicking me once or twice, but otherwise, I would absolutely recommend! It's always a pleasure to come to Diana Nails when I am in town. When I used to live at home I used to get my nails done by Summer. She is so sweet and incredibly talented. When I was home last I needed a polish change on my toe nails. She did such an amazing job that 1 month and 2 weeks later my toe nails still look fabulous! It's a bit strange to have my first review on here be for a nail salon as I eat much more than I ever get a mani/pedi. However, my experience was so noteworthy, it seems fitting. Visiting Potomac for a few days, I went here with a friend. Most nail salons are run by Vietnamese people who chat in their native language, and this place was no exception. Our manicurists were talking, and mine assumed that I didn't speak the language. [Oh, but newsflash, sister! You assumed WRONG!] I hadn't gone into any apologies about the state of my worn marathon-running feet, so I wasn't too surprised when she said in Vietnamese, "Her feet are horrible...her toenails are in a sad state." I pretended not to understand. But then she went on, "At least she dresses well and has a great figure to make up for it, but she's really dark and it ruins her face. It makes her quite average." WTH? I could've easily responded in English to my friend, "If she wasn't so dense, she wouldn't assume that I'm not Vietnamese and just understood every word she just said!" My friend was completely unaware of what was going on, and she later commented to her manicurist that I was Vietnamese and spoke the language. You can imagine her surprise and the conversation that must've later ensued as they wondered how much I caught? I'll keep them guessing! The work they did was pretty standard, otherwise. I've had much better service in L.A. but I'm sure listening to their criticisms about me didn't help! read more

I have moved to Frederick MD now which is 30-45 minutes away but still go to Diana Nails for services. I have been going to Long for about 20 years. She first of all is the best but most of all she is a kind and caring person. She always make you feel welcoming and is interested in you as a person. I had a good experience at Diana's nails. I got acrylic's full set and an upper lip waxing. They only complaint on the acrylic's is that she didn't do the shape the way I asked :/ however they look nice and I am pleased. The waxing was good as well painful but nicely done. read more

Went to Diana Nails for a pedicure. Very easy to get an appointment w/in a 48 hour window. Prices are reasonable and the skills of the technician were on point & her demeanor was pleasant. My only issue was that when I asked to have the skin on my heels removed; which was nicely done with a "grater" type device, I wasn't told that there was an extra charge. The first I knew of it was when I was charged $5 extra at the time of leaving the salon. I then asked why the price was increased $5 from what I was told when I arrived, and at that point found out that the skin shaving was an extra charge service. Had I been told of the charge up front, I would have agreed with no issue. Also, if that service is included in the "spa pedicure" I may have chosen to upgrade to that for just a couple dollars more. Again, pleasant experience; just believe in full disclosure on what is considered an extra/additional charge service. read more

I usually get a mani and/or a pedi, but for my wedding, I got the gel tips and they stayed firm and lovely until my nails were all grown out! i used to come here a lot when i was younger, it's been a staple studio in the area and lots of people go. but let's just say the women running the salon are really good at a very limited range of services. they can do full color, sometimes french, square and round but that's it. some of them are super good with acrylic, but this past visit, the owner did my acrylic refill and it was a disaster. the nails are uneven, filed at different lengths and angles, they're bumpy and it took so long. i was in there for two and a half hours just for a fill. i won't be keeping these nails on; i'm going to a different salon immediately to have them soaked off and restarted- yes it's that bad; there's no way to fix the filing mess ups. they're not people for designs, or any new ideas which can be super frustrating. if ur a simple person who enjoys simple nails then this is the place for you, but if you want any sort of design, acrylic or anything like that maybe not. don't get me wrong, they're super sweet and really kind people, but can't provide the services i expect from a salon that's been operating as long as it has. i wish the workers listened a bit better, when i explain the shape and size of my preferred nail, i expect that shape, but here i receive criticism abt the shape making my fingers look "a little bit fat" and how my nails are "too long". maybe my style has just changed drastically since when i first started coming but i won't be coming again, they clearly cannot offer what i expect. read more

This is the second time it happened, and there won't be a third one! A few days ago, I went to the salon to make an appointment for two pedicures on a weekend, and I saw the girl writing it in the book, asking me for both names. We arrived there on time (it takes me 30 Mn to drive there). Our appointments had disappeared. Someone erased our names and replaced them with someone else. I always give good tips, and am absolutely furious to have lost one hour of my time for nothing. She did not even try to accommodate us by offering us another time. Nothing. The time before, I had made an appointment over the phone and she did not understand English I guess and had put us for the day I called when it was supposed to be for the following day. I'm a guy so I don't usually visit a salon but I get my feet done about once a year to remove calluses. This place is not far from my work so I gave it a try. The girl who did my feet was very nice and did a great job. She didn't go too deep when trimming my nails which I appreciate. She also did a lot of calf and feet massaging and rubbing which made the overall experience much nicer than what I have had at other places.
