This place is most definitely hidden and it may not have all of the bells and whistles as other nail salons but their staff is pretty fantastic. Vivian was amazing! I have been getting pedicures for years and she was the first technician to explain to me why my big toes were always in pain! All this time I thought i had ingrown nails but turns out i have had skin growing under my nails...she gave me some suggestions on how to remedy this situation and it will help tremendously!! The salon is pretty small with only 4 pedicure chairs and when I came on a Thursday afternoon, there was no wait and only one other client there with me. No music or water fixtures and the tv was off when I was there but I really enjoyed the time to chat with Vivian and to read my book with no distractions. What an adorable little nail salon in the heart of North Bethesda/Congressional Plaza area. The staff was really friendly... I was greeted with a smile immediately. Like my fellow reviewer mentioned, the interior is calming. I felt relaxed as soon as I stepped foot in the salon. There were a few customers there but I only had a to wait a few minutes. The prices seem reasonable enough; I paid $10 for a polish change and was happy with the results. I was impressed with how organized and clean the place was. They carried mostly Essie & OPI..... two of my favorite brands and they had a great color selection. Bottom line... CLEAN salon, friendly staff... lots of parking in the back lot and my feet were very happy when I left :-) read more

Tina did my nails it was my first time there and she was so nice and really took her time, very detail oriented and high quality. It was quiet and relaxing. She really took care to be gentle with my nails since they were weak from SNS I got at a different salon. I will definitely be going back and am very pleased with the service! read more

I always get waxing here and consider the ladies as my friends. I go to school in another state, so only come back for breaks and they always remember me. The ladies are super nice and gentle. The work is usually top notch even if I sometimes had some hair left. The price is amazing. They really do take the time to wax you correctly and always chat with you. Also, they always managed to squeeze me in at the last minute, which is extremely appreciated. Love them, excellent choice. Update: wow, so disappointed lately. I don't know what happened to the owner but she became a super c*** in one month. Bad job (three times now I still have hair), prices fluctuating for no reason, my Mom manicure was a disaster (wasn't dry, had to take off everything when we got home), she told me she could do something on my toes and finally couldn't at the end, the girls are constantly on their phone, even when doing the job, and being all pissy. I actually tipped just less than 15% today for the first time and I am not coming back. read more

Came here with my sister for a girls day. We got some bubble tea next door and decided that it was a good day for pedicures. The establishment is small with only 4 pedicure chairs and maybe 6 manicure stations. I thought that the atmosphere was calming and cool - a nice light green to the walls and some pretty nifty light fixtures. Pedicure chairs had a nice massage to them, although the tubs didn't have much jet action going on. Since we came on a random Tuesday, there were only two ladies working and one was already doing a manicure so I had to wait a little. They had it on some Chinese TV channel when we came in, but they changed it to ABC about halfway through our pedis. The lady who did my pedi did not speak much, come to find out later its because she didn't really speak English. She was careful and meticulous with cutting and painting my nails. My feet are still a little rough and and the massage was pretty short. BUT it was cheap! $25 for a pedicure. They have daily specials, for example Mondays was mani/pedi for $30, and Tuesday was deluxe mani/pedi for $40. I also had my eyebrows waxed. It was a different lady from the one that did my nails, but she was also very careful. She did a good job of trimming down the eyebrows and plucking off the excess hairs after waxing. The eyebrow wax was only $8! I would definitely come back! read more

My friend and I stopped in here on a Saturday in between shopping at the stores near by. The quality I received was very poor. I asked for a gel manicure and when she was done the nail polish was thin and all over my cuticles. I had her try to fix it and she told me it would just "come off if I wash my hands a few times"....not true, by the way...you have to literally pick if off your skin. One week later all of the paint is chipping off my nails. Not impressed and quite frustrated at the wasted money. read more

This place is the best value for mani/pedis in the area, and they're very efficient too: 30 minutes on the clock for a pedicure + French manicure for less than a regular mani/pedi anywhere else I've been! They also have a fidelity program offering a free manicure after 8 visits. Quite a good deal. On all of my three visits, they were able to accommodate me immediately even though I didn't have an appointment. While convenient if you're in a hurry or making last-minute plans, their extreme efficiency takes a little bit away from the relaxing enjoyment of the mani/pedi experience. Also, the massage part of both mani and pedi is pretty short compared to other salons. Perhaps the "deluxe" version of the service makes the difference. However, so far they have never hurt me which is more than I can say for other local venues. Overall, this place is very clean, with new equipment (massage chairs) and a good selection of colors. This is my "go to" place to get my face waxed! Besides the actual waxing, they take so much care in making sure my eyebrows are properly trimmed and pluck unwanted hairs that may have been missed during the waxing. And unlike with other places I've been to get a waxing, I have NO breakouts the next day after leaving here. I just went today. The place is now called Venus Nail Spa. This was my third visit. The first visit was a disaster and I swore never to come back, but they were so nice and it was their opening day some months later I gave the a second try (last week). The guy did a really good job on my nails so I went back today for what turned out to be a really nice pedicure. One suggestion would be to purchase magazines that the customer can read and also maybe change the programing to English from time to time. After listening carefully I realized that the language was Chinese. I don't really have a problem with that, but it might make some people feel that they are only catering to one specific group. read more

First salon review. Pros: close to home and easy parking. Cons: (1) over-priced, (2) pedicurists had NO idea how to work the vibrating chair - huh? (3) on July 3rd when it was 93 degrees outside, thermostat was set at 79-degrees - I literally broke into a sweat while sitting perfectly still - asked twice to have the temp turned down (4) rude - yes indeed...overpriced sweat lodge and then rude on top of it. Scheduled an appointment for mani/pedi with my mom. We arrived 5 minutes early, and still had to wait 15 minutes. The pedicures were okay - nothing great. If you're used to massages with your mani/pedis, this will be a disappointment. The whole thing feel rushed, and there were no massages. We did gel manicures, and they turned out horribly. My Mom's nails were rough and had bubbles on them. My French manicure was crooked and uneven. My worst observation was that all of their nail polish seemed old. The color they used on my toes was SO THICK... even after waiting 3 hours for them to dry, they got messed up. The gel polish had to be MICROWAVED for them to use it. I tried to explain our issues to the owner, but she refused to fix anything. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I read nail salon reviews before I try new places and I've seen some only OK ones for this place, and nothing great that has been recent, so figured I should do one! I work down the street from this place and they're open til 8, which means I can go after work even if I stay fairly late (which is frequent). I've never had to wait in the evening, even though there are usually only 2-3 ladies working. I get gel manicures every two weeks or so here and they do a nice job. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 vs 5 is their gel color selection is limited. They don't give a super extensive hand massage (Don't worry, they didn't forget--it's at the end!), but honestly that doesn't matter to me. It's only $30 too (I paid $5 for gel removal my first time, since they didn't do it)! Definitely give them a try, they're worth it! read more

I stopped in for a pedicure and it was a lovely experience. The only reason I can't give more stars is the price. The deluxe pedicure was $38 plus tip. While I enjoyed the massage and the mud mask, this pedicure was $10-15 more than I usually pay for a similar pedicure. Its usually never busy which is great, i know i'm always out within an hour. i come here every two weeks to get a gel manicure, they always last the two weeks. i would give them a 5 stars but i feel they should have more of a color selection on gel nail polish. i love how she always take the extra step to make sure my nails look great before heading out. read more

Being new to the area I did not know where to go. Tried a salon on Rockville for first 2 fills - big mistake. Should have come here first!! If was a great experience. My nails are rounded the way I like them and look great. I had to have 2 repaired because the acrylic was lifting off. The girl was great and took great care in removing the old acrylic, trimming my nails and then putting a tip on. Felt bad that she had to fix someone elses mistake and am very happy that I chose this place. Needless to say I will be a return customer and am looking forward to my next fill and pedicure. read more

Maybe it's just me but I love how detailed their work is. My and my friends always come back to get our eyebrows done here , they actually care about how your brows look at the end and don't just rush through, whereas many other places , when they mess up they try to convince me that I'm seeing it wrong .
