I will not be back to this salon. The parking was easy, and when I walked in the door and saw the alter and smelled then incense, I was like yes! But then it we down hill from there. The place is very small and had a mildew smell. If I didn't have a gift certificate I would have left. I was told to ask for Kevin, but since I did not make an appointment I did not expect to get him. I did meet him and he was very nice. Lani was my tech, she did not seem to understand a lot if what I was saying to her, so I did not talk much. This is only my second time getting gels, but I don't feel like they did a good job in comparison to my first time some where else. My nails starting chipping after the first day. My previous set last 3 weeks (and through a 8 day cruise). Also first and second finger nails were missing polish on the far right if the nail. read more

While I was getting my nails done All the employees just kept talking to eachother in a different language and weren't paying much attention to my actually nails. They were also pretty loud. The nailpolish is almost See through and she didn't even cover my entire nail. Didn't like this place at all. It's also pretty messy they could take a day to tidy up. read more

I would just went back to diamond nail after pre-Covid. And actually even before that because I was in school and couldn't afford my nails these folks are such good people such nice neighborhood people I got out of my car. The owner recognized me from almost 10 years ago. I recognized him, his wife and a couple of the employees and some new people. This is pre-Covid when Rockville used to be Rockville! If you were considering getting your nails done here because it's cheap, don't. You know you've had a bad nail experience when you leave the salon and all the nail techs are apologizing to you. My manicure actually looks nice -- which is why I gave them a 3 star. In terms on cleanliness, I was very disturbed by what took place. My nail technician cut me in 3 different places (I was bleeding for 15 minutes straight) but she continued to apply gel polish which we all know will not get cleaned because how do you clean the inside of nail polish? You don't. This leads me to believe that this is not the first time it has happened. I left the salon bleeding and in pain. I would honesty go back if there was a cleaner and neater way of completing the job without contaminating the polish, but there isn't and I am afraid that everyone is going to have my blood on them and vice versa... not my cup of tea. read more

Today I had Tiffany as my attendant. She gave me a great pedicure, payingspecial attention to my heels. Good leg massage and great polish & design. I also got the Best French Gel manicure from Logan that makes my stubby fingernails look elegant. He added a lovely graphic in white & silver that is delicate and very pretty. Logan also did an eyebrow service. He waxed and trimmed so the shape is restored. The staff is always great here. I highly recommend Diamond Nails to my friends. read more

Oh how I hate to give one star reviews. The lady who took care of me was so very sweet. My nails look good; although she used two colors of dip powder and then put two coats of gel polish on...not how it's usually done but I think she must have been trying to fix a mistake along the way. The nail salon looks terrible. So very unappealing and out dated with hideous furnishings and not very sanitary. I needed to get my nails cut down and needed it done right away so that's why I stopped in. The whole place needs to be gutted and remodeled. Firstly, the location is inconveniencing with it being in the corner of a very small shopping center. The shop is also quite small and congested. I wasn't a fan of the overall setup. They also incorporate a method of not using paper towels, and customers are asked to dry their hands with actual fabric towels, which I find disgusting and unsanitary. The technicians were friendly and welcoming, but their abilities were inadequate. And because I really liked the warm loving characteristic of the tech who assisted me, I will not disclose her name. I only went to have one nail fixed but was still extremely disappointed with the turnout. She did not shape the nail in alignment to match my other nails. Then, she made the nail too bulky by using too much acrylic-making it look ugly and unappealing. Next, she did not paint the entire nail, as the edges and cuticle areas are undone. There are also apparent lumps and bubbles beneath the polish. Although she was really friendly and sweet, due to her poor work, I will not be returning. read more

I use to be a frequent client at Diamond. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly. The reason I stopped going is because I realized how dingy the place was. On the outside my nails looked amazing, but underneath I had fungus growing. I don't know if it was the tools or not making sure the acrylics were firmly attached to my nails but whatever it was I never had it before and I couldn't wear acrylics for a month after that. This place it great. Just able to relax and get the service needed. Some pampering. The lady who did my pedicure was a bit rough though until it got to the massage part, that was good. The hot towel was so hot. I was ready for the nail painting to begin. The last time I came here it was better. But. I still will come back because it's a good price and they are nice. Eh. I went here for the first time and will most likely not return in the future. The nail polish was thick and gloppy, and the beautician did try their best to thin the polish. But after finishing the manicure, I waited 20 minutes with my nails in a fan and the polish was still wet underneath the top coat. No one came to check, or seemed to care, if I was satisfied with the manicure. It is inexpensive, so I just chalk this up to getting what I paid for. read more

Their COVID precautions are also great, there is plexiglass for the manicures and then plastic shields around the pedicure stations. I've had a manicure-pedicure twice here, and loved it--especially for the price (Either $30 or $35). The staff is friendly and has a devoted following, from what I saw. The guy who did my last pedicure really worked for his money because my feet were gross, but he didn't flinch and went to work buffing my heels into shape. It's essentially your typical nail place, so I wouldn't say making a special trip would be worth it, but if you're in this part of the metro and want a bargain, check them out! read more

An employee used hate speech openly. While providing service to her customer (seated next to me), a female nail technician (over age 40 because she said so) initiated conversation about herself and went on a softly spoken rant about men culminating in her saying the N-word (6 letters). I can not even type the word. My mom, sister and I went to this salon yesterday for the first time. All 3 of us got pedicures. I was pleased with my experience here. The staff was very nice and i liked that they paid special attention to my mom since it was Mother's Day. They took their time with our pedicures. My pedicure looks good...I just hope it lasts long. Streaky polish. You get what you pay for I guess! I would prob pass on this place in the future..but if you're in a hurry and just looking for something quick.. I guess you can go here. I also didn't really like their nail dryers at all. I got my nails done on Saturday at like 5pm and I was super careful and wore flip flops for 2 days after my pedicure, as per usual. On Wednesday, my 2 big toes literally chipped almost completely off. I get pedicures often from my go to place but wasn't in the mood to drive there.. sometimes I can let my pedicure go 1 month before it chips at all. I will not be coming back. read more

This salon isn't as good as it used to be. I used to go here maybe 6 years ago and stopped because i moved. However i was in the neighborhood and needed a sns manicure so i figured why not go back... bad decision! The woman began to remove my previous dip powder (that alone took almost an hour) and instead of wrapping them she had me soak them as she went back and forth with the drill. She cut my pinky in the process and put it back in the acetone (ouch). I told her that i like my nails short and square. She made them short and uneven. I stopped her before the service could get any worse and i was charged $20 for just the removal. Complete and waste of time and money. I could've done this at home. Kevin and his wife are very nice and do decent work but they definitely need to revamp and hire new, EXPERIENCED, staff. read more

I love going to this place! It was close to work, so that is how I discovered it. I've been going here for 5 years. The chairs massage, they have a TV going for entertainment, they do the hot towel thing for pedicures and they always do a great job on polish. The have Essie and OPI, they also let you try the new stuff. They do a great job a massaging legs and feet as well. They also don't charge you extra for really scrubbing your feet. They take cards, but bring cash for tips though. read more

I am debating going back to this nail salon because even though my regular acrylic nails lasted so long, never had a paint chip AND looked amazing (fir a cheap price), they had completely ruined my natural nails underneath. It was almost like when I got them removed (also I went back to this salon to get them removed and when I did - no one was trying to assist me. So I had to go to another salon to get them removed), I barely had nails left. The tore off, they were flaking, thin, and completely sensitive. I don't know how good this review is though. Maybe my nails are just weak? I still am unsure though of going here again. Also when I was getting my nails done I asked how long it would take, and I think it took close to double the time the lady told me it would. It felt like she forgot about what I had asked for during the service. She was told that she should have the mole removed on her face so that she can have better relationships with people.
