BUT this review is mainly about the AMAZING Kat! I started seeing her for a prenatal massage, then postnatal and now normally deep tissue. She's done trigger point with me which is when she holds a point and I breath into it as well as pin and stretch technique. Today we did deep release technique- psoas release. She has been influenced by Rolphing and has studied miofascial releasing technique. She specializes in Integrated Therapeutic, Motherhood / prenatal, Thai, Acupressure, East / West, Trigger point and Deep Tissue. I have been to A LOT of spas and seen many massage therapist all over the country / world and she's tied for first place in my book. Highly recommended her, just don't take my time slot ;) :) PS she also works in the Los Gatos location and if you visit her there you can use the pool / hot tub / sauna :)

AMAZING CARE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!…read more I began visiting Thriving Chiropractic about 4 months into an awful battle with frozen shoulder. At that point, I'd already been doing physical therapy for several months, as well as having a steroid injection. I wanted to "throw the kitchen sink" at the shoulder to help recover as quickly as I could. Thriving Chiropractic offered me both chiropractic care with Dr. Helen and acupuncture with Dr. Christina. I took one appointment each week with both, in addition to my physical therapy visits twice a week. Dr. Helen and Dr. Christina were both excellent in helping speed my recovery! After "just 7 months" (which is exceptionally fast in the land of frozen shoulders where 1 year to 2 years is more typical) I've recovered 95-100% of my shoulder range of motion and I'm on track as I work towards patiently recovering my strength. I want to give extra praise to Dr. Helen for doing an incredible job understanding and assessing my condition each week, providing a range of care modalities to help my healing, and providing me "homework" to complement what I was doing with my PT. In addition, she's just a super friendly person who takes an interest in your life outside of your injury and I found her incredibly pleasant to talk to during treatment. Dr. Helen truly has an exceptional, holistic approach to care - she completely defies the stereotype of chiropractors simply "cracking joints." Every time you leave her care, you leave feeling great. Dr. Christina was also very professional and caring. I'd never had acupuncture treatment before and she was very gentle and careful to ask about my comfort during and after the treatment. Due to the nature of acupuncture (you spend a long time sitting with the needles in quiet solitude), my interactions with her were less so than with Dr. Helen. But I felt confident in her care and would go back if ever I had the need. Front office staff were always very friendly and welcoming, too. Thank you all for being so wonderful!

I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with the front desk person at this office…read more The issue started with poor communication around billing. I was initially told that my copay would be $30 for Dr. Helen and $20 for Dr. Deanne, and that my insurance had been checked. About a month later, I found out through my insurance that I was actually responsible for 30% of the bill. When I brought this up, the front desk person first denied saying that, and later offered to settle the account based on the $30 copay amount. However, there was no apology or clear explanation for the confusion. We had also discussed that the 4/30 bill would be handled later once I received the insurance check, since my card had already been charged the full $150 for that visit. Yesterday, when I tried to bring this up again, the front desk person would not let me explain and kept insisting that my bills had already been taken care of. She also said she does not handle billing, but did not clearly explain who does or who I should contact. What made the experience worse was the attitude. When I tried to understand who handles billing, bookings, and patient communication, she responded defensively and said, "Oh, now you are saying I don't do anything," which was not what I said. I was simply trying to understand who was responsible for what, especially since she had said she does not handle billing or appointments for all doctors. The most upsetting part was being personally insulted and called a "sad person who makes other people sad." That is completely inappropriate in any service environment, especially in a healthcare or wellness practice where patients come for care and support. This was not the first time she referred to me as a "sad person," and it felt dismissive and disrespectful, especially as someone coming in with severe shoulder pain and trying to resolve basic billing and appointment issues. The communication around appointments was also frustrating. When I switched to Dr. Deanne and asked how to book with her, I was told to check online with no clear guidance. After asking again, I was eventually sent a link by text, but only after being told, "I don't handle her appointments." Yesterday, I checked in and sat in the doctor's office for several minutes, but the doctor was not informed. I had to go back and ask twice, and the front desk person clearly seemed upset about it. The last two months of dealing with this front desk experience have been extremely frustrating. Patients deserve clear communication, patience, and basic respect when trying to resolve billing and appointment issues especially when it's caused by the provider . Overall, this experience fell far short of the level of professionalism and respect patients deserve

A steam, hottub and a cold plunge! They also gave us totes with robes so we could move to and fro areas. The massage was the best massage Ive ever gotten. It was a deep tissue with I believe her name was Jessica or Jesse. It was dim and very relaxing! I will say this place was pretty pricey so I'd do it for a special occasion! The only blip, and it really is a small blip is that one of the front desk ladies misheard my friend when she said she was paying for 2 of us and charged her for 3. We able to sort it out amongst ourselves (Thanks zelle lol) but they were very apologetic! I'll be sure to come back for an anniversary or something!

My husband surprised me with an anniversary reservation at Watercourse Spa and booked me a deep…read moretissue massage with Mark. I'll start by saying that Mark was absolutely fantastic, and I'll get back to him in a moment. As for Watercourse Spa itself, I've been coming here for many years, and I honestly think it's time for a renovation. The facility is starting to show its age. During my massage, I couldn't help but notice a large stain on the ceiling above me. The sink in the treatment room also appeared quite dirty. I had planned on taking a shower after my massage, but after using the restroom and seeing the shower area, I decided against it because both the shower and bathroom looked like they needed a much more thorough cleaning. Another thing that stood out to me was the massage table itself. When I laid down, the sheets weren't very soft, and the blanket covering me felt rough. When I visit a spa, I expect plush, freshly laundered linens that feel luxurious against the skin. Soft sheets, fluffy blankets, a spotless environment, and a relaxing atmosphere are all part of what makes a spa experience feel truly indulgent. Those little details make a big difference and help create the comfort and tranquility that guests are paying for. It's a spa I've always enjoyed visiting, which is why it was disappointing to see it in this condition. I truly hope management invests in renovating the facility, replacing worn linens, and paying closer attention to cleanliness and upkeep. The spa has so much potential, and with a few improvements, it could once again feel like the relaxing retreat it was meant to be. Now, onto the highlight of my visit--Mark. He was an absolute sweetheart and an exceptional massage therapist. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable. We spoke about a few personal issues related to why I needed certain areas of my body worked on, and he took the time to offer thoughtful advice and even recommended some helpful resources. I genuinely appreciated his kindness and willingness to help. Mark was wonderful to both my husband and me. His experience truly shows--he's been a massage therapist for over two decades, and it was evident throughout the entire session. He applied excellent pressure during my deep tissue massage, took his time, and never made the treatment feel rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. If you're looking for an outstanding massage therapist, look no further--Mark is your guy. Lastly, I'd also like to compliment the front desk staff. They were warm, welcoming, and professional. My only hope is that the spa invests in renovating and better maintaining the facility so it matches the quality of the excellent therapists who work there. The staff and therapists deserve a space that reflects the same level of care and professionalism they provide to their guests.
