I booked a spot last minute, and there was a 9:45pm slot available on Sunday. The location is nice. It's very comforting and peaceful. There is a small parking lot, but street parking is available around there, too. The check in is very easy, and the staff are very friendly! I had Bella work on my facial (shoutout to her!) and she was so sweet and would let me know what the next steps are. I mean, she was so good, I dozed off during my session ahaha. The vitamin C facial was a pleasant experience, thanks to Bella! Next occasion was the spa. My friend and I booked a spot for their Six Dragonflies room, and we loved it! If it's your first time you'll have to sign some paperwork but it was over pretty quickly. The room itself was private and cozy. We started with an hour-long soak in the Trillium room tub. It was so nice to unwind and talk after a long week. Then we had our massage - our therapists were excellent, communicated with us, and made us feel super relaxed. I wish I could recall their names but they were wonderful. Then we did the steam shower. An update after almost a year since our last visit. Ty and the staff were really understanding about my mix-up about booking the individual services for facial and massage. Our second visit was for 2 people but the booking turned out to be 1 person each service and not for 2 people each for the facial and massage. I should've been clearer while making the reservation so this was my bad - while we did not mind this, they were gracious to offer a small discount off our total which was so nice of them. As always, they offer you delicious tea before your stay. We were in the One Pine room this time around and I enjoyed this room with the skylight and dimmed down atmosphere. The water pressure is perfect, and the cold plunge and sauna are always a delight to go along with a hot tub soak. Lastly, Florence our masseuse and Kiyomi our esthetician did wonders on our muscles and skin. We were satisfied with our service and felt so calm it was hard not to doze off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From my initial booking phone call, to the actual spa experience itself -- I was astounded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I took my partner to Watercourse Way Spa in Palo Alto, CA to unwind without technology, rejuvenate our bodies (minds, and even our relationship!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were all respectful, sincere, friendly, and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The private steam room shower, cold plunge, and hot tub were very clean and there was a unique charm...I booked us the "Six Dragonflies" room! We also received tea, robes, & flip flops at check in, and there were freshly laundered towels in the room. It was okay, but probably won't be back. I was looking to surprise my partner with a couple's jacuzzi and massage experience and after doing some research on various Spa's in the Bay, I called Watercourse Way. I shared that I was looking to surprise my partner with a couple's jacuzzi and massage experience. I was interested in a birthday package or something that'd make it a little extra special. They let me know that although they don't have birthday packages and are unable to provide/allow champagne, they can offer a complimentary soap. It sounded nice, so I said sure. When we arrived to check in the front reception did not mention anything about a birthday, nor anything about the complimentary birthday gift. The person checking us in also mentioned the total price of our experience, which was slightly annoying because this was a birthday gift and I would've appreciated a little discretion with that. When we arrived to the jacuzzi there was one jet that was was spraying much more agressively than the others. I almost wanted to mention it, but I didn't want to pack up and move- so that was a bummer. Also the bleach was so strong and I have sensitive eyes- slightly unfortunate but I survived and we had a great time regardless. The massages were okay. I got a swedish but I think I should've done a deep tissue because my partner really enjoyed it. All in all, can't say I'd go back or that I'd recommend it to my peers. read more
