I love going to Kevin at Chang's Nail, 1275 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena because he does such a good job on my nails that even though I don't go every two to three weeks. I used to go to that shop (for over 20 years before it was sold), and I'm pleased that he always does a great job. I have never had a nail to rise up though I often only go once a month because of time constraints. I had a really nice experience here with my super short nails! I keep my nails pretty short but still wanted a French manicure look with almost no length. They did an amazing job making these shorties look good with a French polish job. I got a French gel manicure and a spa pedicure for $73. I think the price is fair and I will be back again. Truly the best! I've been going to Tracy for about 4 years now and I would follow her LITERALLY anywhere. I'm one that will never take my nails off and now Tracy's stuck w me! I'm so proud of her finally getting her own shop and being able to work w her family. Kevin, Maya, Susan and Tracy make a dope team! I'm team long nails and not everyone can do them. Tracy can! My nails never do more than the occasional crack, and I can't tell you the last time I had one! I used to go up to 6 weeks w NO issues! Now I go 4-5 weeks depending. Tracy is an artist that does nails. There's nothing I've showed her she hasn't been able to do. Tho she's so amazing I just like to show her inspiration and let her creativity take over. She knows me now. Rhinestone/colors/metal preferences. There's so much beauty in being able to trust your tech. Half the time I don't look until she's done! Her prices have gone a bit over the years (as they should) I have no issue w her prices and it's nice to give her the business for my pedis too (I used to go to other shops before she got her own). I could go on about Tracy to anyone that'll listen. I was hesitant to post this bc Tracy is gonna blow up and I still want access. Shops clean and everyone's so nice. With it being all family, it has a different feel of other shops. It's nice to not feel like people are talking about you too. Those of us that have been in the nail shops know what I mean. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. I called and made an appointment, but when I arrived I still had to wait an additional 20 minutes. It's ok though, the wait was worth it. The tech was very busy, but extremely apologetic and attentive. He explained what he was doing with my nails and made sure they looked great! He planned ahead for some broken nails I had. I just returned from camping and needed a refresh. The atmosphere was welcoming. Parking is easy here. I will be coming back. read more

Changs Nail is a fairly new nail salon ran by new owners. I highly recommend Changs Nail! My experience is a 10 out of 10! Nail tech Tracey is amazing! She can do practically any design you show her. The quality of the products she uses is top-tier! My nails usually last a month when going to her! Also, Maya gives an outstanding pedicure! Love this place! Found them through Instagram and it was 10mins away from my old job. Quality is spectacular! My Gel X nails last 4+ weeks at most if I don't have enough time for a new set with my workload and they don't break! I like that I'm able to call for an appointment. Sometimes I like making appointments right when they open at 10:00am but sometimes they arrive a little late (5-10mins) but vice versa with me too as I also tend to arrive late lol! I have recommended this place to many friends and family members who are looking into nail techs. Only one person knows how to do the complex designs here, so sometimes there's a wait even with appointments depending on what you're looking for. read more

I went in and got a manicure, just wanted clear polish on top when done. After Maya got done with my nails, she took it upon herself to pull out a buffer and shine my nails, didn't ask if I wanted it or anything. After she was done, she charged me $28 for a basic manicure with no polish. She states that the $20 was manicure and $8 was for the shine buffer. Unmmm excuse me but I did not ask for that service, would I have been wrong to not pay the extra $8 for this service that I did not ask for. Watch them, they will do things and you'll think that they're doing it as apart of the service and will charge you extra when done. People like this, I do not trust and will never return ! Luckily I didn't walk out and not pay her anything since she wanted to be slick. read more

After researching many places I decided to try Changs Nail. It was amazing! Aesthetically the inside is beautiful and relaxing. They use hygienic measures (cover for the pedicure tub and packaged tools) which is a big deal to me. The premium pedicure was wonderful with plenty of massage and attention to my nails without any digging. I will come back here again and happy to have found a spot where I felt truly pampered! Like many others, I would follow Tracy literally anywhere for the quality, attention to detail, and kindness I know I will receive when she or anyone who works with her does my nails. How lucky for me that she opened her own shop right in Pasadena near my work and home! For years, no matter who did my nails, one would always break or fall off. This never happens with Tracy. She's amazingly creative as you can see by her designs on IG, but sadly I am one of her boring clients (lol) who usually gets solid color. Still, any time I have had to go to a different place, I have seen how much of an incredible skill nail shaping and painting gel on acrylic is that not everyone has mastered like Tracy.
