Every time I'd take it out to the dunes and drive through the sand to get my camper where I wanted it, the front differential would end up cracking or failing. Brett and Kev took the time to diagnose the real issue and came up with a permanent solution. They fabricated a custom bracket to reinforce the front differential, making it much stronger, and also re-geared both the front and rear differentials. I was honestly a little hesitant at first because I'd had so many failures in the past, but after taking it back out to the dunes and putting it through some hard driving in the sand, it performed flawlessly. The difference is incredible. My truck feels stronger, more capable, and gives me the confidence to drive it the way I always wanted to. After I looked at his Yelp page, I agreed to have him do the repairs. Eric Laettner's Mobile Mechanic Service was excellent! I posted what I needed on Yelp at 2:20 pm. We agreed to have him do the work. He let me know he was finishing another job and would be here in the late afternoon. He showed up and had already picked up the parts he might need. He had my car up off the ground, removed all four tires, and checked them. Checked brake pads, rotors, and connections he could see. He completed the work at about 9 pm. -From posting the request for repairs to finishing was in a 7-hour time frame! -I didn't need to drive to a repair shop. -He explained the process and handled my questions. -My cost was 50% less than what I was quoted at the local repair shops. -This was my first time using a mobile service for mechanical work. Due to things I had going on i had to cancel. cacontacted himp back a few days later to come back. We settled for 8:30 am the next day. He arrived on time and told me I needed a new tire and said he would call around. He also stated that he would charge me $50 flat rate. And once we found a tire he could go and exchange it for me. I agreed upon that first. He told me that my new tire was going to be around 200 dolland I thought that was a little excessive for one tire, especially such a small tire. So he said he would call another place.He called another place and as he was on the phone I listened to the conversation and google the make and model. When? My Google search came up. I seen that for a brand new tire. It ranged from 49 to $70. He gets off the phone and tells me that he found one for a hundread plus tax. I knew that was a bit excessive. So I continued to Google why he said he was going to return the tire. I sent him the screenshot of the tires I found which were all brand new and told them please do not let them overcharge me for a tire. He text me back and said he found one for a $110. And I ask him to bring the receipt when he returned. I asked him for a receipt and he showed me a receipt for a $100. Was it a proper receipt? I don't know. I just took his word for it but told him that was more expensive than any of the other tires. I had looked up so when it came time for payment. He told me it was going to be a 175 when he quoted me $50 and showed me a receipt for a 100 I told him that was more than. We talked about, but at that point it was done and I was just trying to hurry up and end the transaction. I asked him if he had changed. He told me he did not at that point I did not want to pay him any extra money because I felt like he had already charged me way too much and informed him. I was gonna go to the bank and get change. Once arriving at the bank, the lines were too long and he was waiting outside with my car. So I just went ahead and gave him the money. So we both could be done with the trandaction. All in all, I really feel like because I was a woman he did take advantage and overcharged me and up charged me. I told him as I was giving him the money that I just wanted it to be done with. He agreed took the cash and then left. In all honesty, outside of him over charcharging me he got the work done.

No high pressure. No markups. When we went into the office to sign the contract the finance manager mentioned the extended warranty, but there was no pressure. Did I mention I also saved $13,000 dollars? Most of the dealers down here in LA are demanding $10,000 over MSRP for this car plus things like $300 nitrogen filled tires. We.called AAA and all they could suggest was to tow it into town. Every dealer and auto shop was closing up and we were told the earliest any one could look at it would be Monday even though we were 200 miles from home. We called Joel, he came right away and diagnosed the problem. He started with the easiest fixes hoping to save us time and money, but it turned out to be our starter. We towed the car to his car at 5 pm Friday night and he had it fixed, and us on the road by 8:30 the next morning. He worked on the car until 1 am to make sure we'd make it home on time. His price was reasonable, his workmanship was excellent and he explained the problems as he went. We were stuck and skeptical of how we were going to fix the car and Joel was patient and professional. He's great to do business with and we recommend him 100%.
