Got 3 quotes for a large tree removal in the backyard, and Diaz gave the most reasonable price. Everything was scheduled and set up within a few days of calling back to confirm. It was easy to work with them via phone, and the team showed up promptly on time. They "thought outside the box" and worked with our backyard neighbor to plan a route that would have the least impact to our landscape and our home during the cut. They loved conversing with my father in law, and traded stories and equipment with him. They did everything so efficiently and cleaned up afterward, always checking in and being very communicative on what to expect during the process. In only a few hours, a huge tree was removed safely, with only a stump (and a few tree slices we requested as souvineirs) left behind. The stump grinder team came the next day and provided the same level of professionalism and efficiency to get the job done. They provided some tips on how to get the grass to grow over the dirt pile, but otherwise, you would have never known a tree to be there. They say the true measure of a business success is return clients. This is the second time we have used Diaz Landscape and Tree Service and they made us happy customers again. Their team handled the removal of a particular tall holly tree with professional skill, using caution by taking it down in stages. They erected barriers as a protective shield when they grinded the stump, followed by clearing/removal of the debris. To trim large branches of a neighbor's tree overhanging our property they brought a "cherry-picker" into our driveway to carefully prune the limbs, then carefully lowering them to the ground avoiding any problems; again followed by great cleanup and removal of the debris. Diaz Landscaping - shame, shame, shame. Would definitely not recommend Diaz Landscaping... we hired Diaz Landscaping years ago for Spring clean up (e.g. clean up leaves, mow lawn) and to remove a tree (e.g. cut it down, grind down the stump) at a cost of $900+. After cleaning up the yard and cutting down the tree (which we were quite happy with), they started up the stump grinder to begin the grinding work. Almost immediately, the grinder broke. After a few minutes of trying to fix the problem, Diaz realized it would need further repair. As it was nearing the end of the day, Diaz asked if we would "pay his workers for an honest days work" (which we agreed - thinking this was the right thing to do), saying he would return in a few days with a repaired stump grinder. Despite paying him in full, days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and well you know the rest... never saw him again. We ended up having to hire a local tree company the following summer to finish their work ($300). To this day, still no answer as to why they never came back... no returned phone calls, no refund for unfinished work, nothing. Where's the professionalism/accountability? If your grinder broke, that's fine, it happens... repair, replace and finish the work or just refund that portion of our money - simple. My neighbor told me to call Diaz Tree and I did. Yamil showed up on time and his estimate was $2700. I gave him a deposit. His guys came by a week later and removed the trees and ground down the stumps. He also pointed out a old pine that was to close to my home and he removed it for an additional $200. Do NOT use Diaz tree service. Diaz was scheduled to come to our house for an estimate on a Saturday in November between the hours of 8 - 12. After waiting all morning, we decided to call Diaz to see if they were still coming to give us an estimate for our tree removal. After speaking with the operator, we were told that someone had called us and left a message that the truck had broken down on the ride to our house. There was in fact no phone called placed or message left. Against our better judgment, we rescheduled our appointment for the following day. Diaz came the next day and gave us a fantastic quote. We were excited at the price we were quoted and happy to know that we could create a payment plan over the course of a few months. We signed the contract and scheduled to have our trees removed on December 1. My wife took Thursday, December 1 off of work to be at home when the trees came down. However, Diaz never showed up. There were no phone calls made on his part to let us know that they were not coming. We left several voicemails but never heard back. After waiting around on Friday hoping for Diaz to arrive, we were finally able to reach the company. The lied and said they left us voicemails rescheduling because their trucks all broke down again. The owner, Mr. Diaz, then became very hostile and told us that he will not in fact take care of our trees due to the fact that we were questioning him. \ We will never deal with this shady, inconsiderate, rude company ever again. They may give great quotes, but good luck actually getting them come and do the work. read more
