Medium veggie sub sandwich with lots of variety of peppers and standard fillers
    Paul V.

I always stop by Dibellas if I see one during feeding time ! Place has seating area but was empty in the evening. Talking with my sandwich maker they were really busy. My veggie selection sandwich was really good-to go but decided to stay and enjoyed it

For brunch, my go to is the biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a good heat to it and the biscuits are flaky and buttery. For lunch, the buddha bowl and chicken & avocado sandwich are both elevated classics. My husband raves about the fish sandwich - and the salad that comes as a side is anything but simple. When you enter, you'll order with the cashier and then find a seat with your number. Typical counter service - but what makes Northstar special is that the interior feels more like fine dining and the food is much much better than your standard fare. Worth a trip for its own merits, the fact that it's located in a nice shopping area is also a draw, especially for a weekend when you want to have a leisurely stroll.

You enter and order at the counter and then get a table. We were not planning on desserts but while ordering our food, they got fresh cookies and we had to order two. It was definitely the best decision of the day. Portions are good here and dishes are well prepared with perfect combination of textures and tastes. I especially loved the sweet potato hash. Frittata was good too. We also had hot chocolate and hot apple cider... Perfect for the cold January morning. Overall we liked this place and highly recommend it.

It's a little out of the way, and since most folks are looking for a full scale restaurant they walk right by... BIG MISTAKE! All the locals are in the know though. That's where you'll find them. Upon entering you are faced with a counter filled with and covered by all the wonderful foods and treats you could ask for. Many display the "Blue Ribbons" they were awarded at the Geauga County Fair; and they are well deserved. We stopped in for breakfast this morning. I ordered a blueberry scone with a large cappuccino. My wife got the breakfast wrap and a cup of coffee. We sat in the window of this cute little establishment, thoroughly enjoying our treasures, and just enjoyed the coming of spring. The entire time we were there locals hand in hand with spouses, some pushing strollers, and others with toddlers in tow, all came and went with wonderful treats for their morning. I must tell you, this is the kind of place that just makes you feel good about life. You must give them a visit. You'll be glad you did.

My mom also loved the French 75 an express martini. The chocolate desert, biscoff cheese cake, and the lemon cake were some of the best deserts I've had at a restaurant.

I appreciate the waitstaff is careful not to interrupt conversation but available when service is needed. Friday night also included a live saxophone! The craft cocktail and mocktail menus are carefully curated. The Rose Gin (pictured) is light and bright with floral notes. The infused old fashioned is incredibly well-balanced. I appreciate the mocktail menu so you can experience the creativity of the bar without the spirits. From the tapas menu I sampled the beef carpaccio, shrimp, whipped feta, patatas bravas (crispy potatoes) and grilled Spanish cheese. The beef carpaccio was my favorite and quite easily the best I've had outside of Italy. Although I could have ended dinner with the fantastic tapas, it only got better with the mains. The lemon risotto paired perfectly with the mahi mahi. And the lamb chops were seasoned to perfection. Dinner ended with an espresso martini and dessert including three house made options plus a berry cake flown in from New York! I will definitely be back for the house made Biscoff cheesecake and the berry cake.

Well, since I love everything Lola's has done thus far, my wife and I had to try breakfast. It was a drizzling, chilly morning in Chagrin Falls, and I questioned whether we had chosen the wrong day. A bright, sunny morning would have been much more enticing. But we went anyway. I figured if they could impress on a morning like this, how much more wonderful would it be on a beautiful morning. We arrived to the restaurant and found only a handful of people were as adventurous as we. One of the owners greeted us upon entry and directed us to a single young lady behind the bar where we could review the menu and place our order. Then we could choose any table to our liking. Shortly thereafter the bubbly young lady arrived with our cappuccinos and water. A few minutes later my warm, chocolate croissant arrived along with my wife's omelette. As always, the food and beverages were excellent. The service was great. And, by the way, the selection of background music was perfect! Lola's has done it again. I will simply repeat myself and tell you, you must go. I highly, highly recommend.

The space feels open, airy, and inviting. Service was generally fast and efficient, though it did slow down a bit during peak times, which is understandable. From a food perspective, most dishes were very good, with one notable disappointment that prevented this from being a five-star experience. To start, we had the Onion Soup Gratinée based on our server's recommendation--an excellent choice. It was hearty, rich, and full of flavor. We also tried the Tuna Cru, which was good overall, though it could have benefited from a bit more lemon to brighten the dish. For the main course, we ordered the Trout Amandine, which unfortunately was a complete miss. It lacked flavor and depth, and at $27, we expected significantly more. It felt underwhelming and forgettable. On the positive side, the Ratatouille that we ordered alongside was excellent. For dessert, the Apple Tarte Tatin was outstanding--the crust was perfectly flaky. Personally, I would have preferred it with a scoop of ice cream rather than whipped cream, but that's a matter of taste. The Pistachio Crème Brûlée, which was also recommended by our server, was very good as well. Overall, a solid dining experience with great ambiance and several strong dishes, but one significant miss kept it from being exceptional.
