The food and service is incredible. The Smashburger and sweet potato fries are amazing.

I wanted some wings and stumbled into this restaurant. I got a six piece dry rub and fries. The staff there was really nice. The price point for the meal was pretty great considering wings have become so expensive lately. The fries were cooked well and I love that they have malt vinegar. I wish the wings were just a little more juicier I think because they smoke them and then fry them. Mines got a little dry. I also wish that the robe was just a little saltier that I would definitely eat here again. read more

Stopped in Solon to grab a 9" tube television w working vcr on my lunch at work and decided to visit The Butcher's Pantry I ordered their fried chicken sandwich and some onion rings to go I ate the rings on the drive back, they were really good. The breading was seasoned satisfactorily and it gripped the onion so it didn't slide out when I took a bite. Even the biggest one the onion didn't slide one bit Once I got back to work I ate the sandwich, it was still warm! Excellent cut of chicken and the breading was delicious. I opted to add bacon for an extra crunch and it was flavorful and crispy but not too salty. Very friendly staff and a nice spot with good ambience if you want to grab a drink or a meal. Where should I even begin. Ookay.... the first time getting this food today... and I'm sad as heckkkk! The taco that was suppose to have all this in it had NOTHING basically.. The taco was suppose to have - spicy beef barbacoa, lime crema, cilantro, pickled radish, chihuahua cheese, flour tortilla It basically had ground beef in it. The crema was not even equally portioned or put on correctly. It looked dry! NO CILANTRO NO PICKLED RADISH, and ONE little piece of shredded cheese like what?!?!? The German potato was Sour and had no other taste.... the potato was hard like it was raw.. The green beans were hard too and had spicy horseradish sauce all over it. Which was not mentioned it was gonna be spicy when ordered it. After a long day at work I wanted to get some good food and seeing that this restaurant had 4.5 stars to try it..... and this disappointment happens..... One of the many reasons I like yelp, I can count on fellow yelpers based on the stars and recommendations for a city that I'm not very familiar with. I was in town for a wellness visit since my job didn't offer it on site this year. I pulled up the app and saw this high starred lunch spot with top recommendations for the brisket sandwich and sweet potato salad. And everything was true - it was a perfectly made, melt in your mouth brisket and the sweet potato salad was an awesome and tasty twist on the original. Best Brisket Everrr! Seriously their brisket is very tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. This place has alcohol for sale, is a butcher shoe and sells BBQ. There are a few tables if you would like to eat here. We had the brisket and barbracoa. The brisket is worth trying and I would highly recommend next time I would not opt for the barbracoa but would get something else instead. There are different sauces you can put on your meat there and I enjoyed being able to sample the different sauces/flavors. Great spot to grab a quick lunch. read more

Had a great experience here. Went in for two sandwiches: their smashed burger and their chicken sandwich and got some wine / lemon sodas. Both food items were tasty and tender and the lemon soda was a perfect mix of not too sweet and lemony. Service was A+ as well as they were attentive, truthful, and very helpful. Thanks for the Father's Day steaks. We'll definitely be back for more. The set up: butcher shop, wine store, lunch spot. The Butcher's Pantry is the exact shop that the south east side didn't know they needed. I know your routine. You decide it's steak night, so you run to Heinen's or Giant Eagle or Sam's Club / Costco, pick the steaks up with the rest of your groceries. You like the convenience of the one stop shop. What I'm asking you to do is experience something different. Getting your steaks at the big box is like having a roofer install your kitchen cabinets...I mean sure they can do it, but why not get someone that specializes in it? Specifically grass fed, antibiotic free beef. We ended up selecting 4 strip steaks. The unfortunate predicament is that the selection is smaller at the Butcher's Pantry. We originally asked for ribeye, but they were out for the day. They did have T-Bones (monster T-Bones) and the strip steaks. Seasoned with salt and pepper and garlic powder at home. Grilled to medium, medium-rare. Magnificent. Tender. Best I've had. The Butcher's Pantry also offers sandwiches and tacos, along with potato chips and cold beer!! We got the turkey club, not knowing what to expect, and loved it. It had thick, tender turkey, not the shaved I've come to expect. It is served in the same paper wrap as the the steaks. My only complaint is that they can improve the presentation. The sandwich was perfectly greasy, but even more so from the protective wrap. Beers on tap were ice cold and feature a relatively local selection from Mad Tree. They also offer selections for processing a whole/half cow or pig for your home freezer. read more

It's been five weeks of Taco Tuesday in my household. I like it to be stuffed. With meat. Taco meat. You know? The first initial visit they really were impressively filled. But then... They weren't the next visit. In fact, they barely had anything. Visit three was OK, definitely better. Which made me think the second visit was a fluke. But unfortunately visit four and five were lackluster like visit two. They taste great for what is there! Don't get me wrong. But I'm really unsure anymore if it's worth the cost if I'm getting limpy tacos with 1/8 of a cup meat. Don't forget though, it's also a butcher shop. They have other things to try. Their ribs and brisket were not bad. I'd still give everything four stars if it were about taste alone. But looking at the big picture... Three stars. read more

Delicious sandwiches; my boyfriend got the Cuban (if you're a big meat eater this is for you) and I got the Smoked Turkey (a little more veggies, but also a lot of delectable meat) Everything was perfectly made and fresh, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Half chicken is enough for a meal. The chicken had been brined flavorfully. Its completely moist and juicy. Briskets are 3 slices of tender fatty beef. The sweet potato is sweet but crunchy. What's causing the crunchiness? Is it celery? My brain didn't have time to analyze. Pull pork was flavorful and not dry. They excel at animal protein, no doubt about it. This little gem has become our new favorite. It's quick and good eats. No high chair for toddlers, so bring your stroller with tray. There's a kids activity area up front to keep the little ones occupied while moms savor the caveman diet. read more

I'm sad to write this review after a good visit several months back. Shared the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Meat was tender but very fatty - and not in a flavorful way. Unseasoned as well. The sauces that you can add are good (especially the mustard and Smokey garlic) but not as much in the amounts we had to use to compensate for the fat and unseasoned meat. Roll is very buttered - which adds to the overall gut bomb feel. All in all, actually would prefer going to somewhere like City Barbecue instead for a more reliable bbq experience, which takes me back to where this started, as I'd rather support local, small places like this. Hope it was an off day or two off sandwiches, but doubt I'll be back anytime soon. Edited to add: I appreciate that the restaurant responded so quickly to my post. Have totally missed this place and it's been here for a year..... wow. Feel a bit silly. What a great little butcher set in a cute little strip in Solon. The place smells so good and I basically smell like a smoker now that I am at home. They have an excellent selection of meats and wine and all sorts of little food items- pasta sauce, rolls, spices... etc. I left with some lamb sausage and kielbasa and also some coffee maple bacon. Yum. Can't wait to cook this for dinner. Also, you can eat in for lunch as they have a great dining section. They are reasonably priced and competitive actually. Has that artisan vibe and great music and all of it. Will definitely go and take my kids for lunch as it looked and smelled so good. We came to experience the uniqueness of a high class wine store, meets a high end best quality butcher shop, only to find the best brisket we've ever had and an amazing experience from a knowledgeable owner, Taylor. This gem is a must try if you are anywhere in the vicinity of Cleveland Ohio. My only regret is we don't live closer. From the friendly service to the wine pallet of an experienced Sommelier this was truly a great visit. We had the 3 meat tray, 2 sides with bbq brisket, pulled pork, and barbocoa beef. Sides were not a side but a HIGHLIGHT! Sweet Potato dish as well as a roasted vegetable with beans were amazing in and of themselves. You must try for yourself and swing past The Butchers Pantry.
