Never had I had a pastry from this shop that was not up to par. I drive almost an hour to get the pastry from here, so that should tell you how solid they are. Service always very nice. The Richmond Hill location which I frequent has no dine inside option. They also sell to the grocery stores, definitely seen their cakes in Fortinos. They are on the pricier side but worth it. For any special occasion or just because, I recommend this place.

Oven the past 2 months, I have had a wicked sweet tooth, craving all things sweet and this place has satisfied it. I've ordered (all cakes) 1. Lemon mousse cake 2. Biscoffee Cookie Butter Cake 3. Italian rum cake 4. Tiramisu cake 5. Chocolate Truffle Cake 6. Pistachio Almond Cake 7. Brownie Chocolate Cheesecake All just on a whim, almost one a week and not even for any special occasions And I must say each and every one has satisfied my cravings. Every cake I've had here has been rich, decadent and absolutely delectable. I'm going to try to cut down on the sweets now but LaRocca makes it so hard to resist with their world class flavours and numerous choices. I recommend this place whole heartedly and I must say I'll be back (probably next week again)

We were leaving the mall and somehow found ourselves peering in the case looking at all the scrumptious desserts. We didn't need anything; however, that didn't stop us. The coffee was smooth, the baked goods looked divine and they kept trying to convince you to buy more right until you left the booth. Welcoming environment, friendly staff, thank goodness I was full, otherwise, I would have kept spending.

It took a Yelp event last month to draw my attention to Cake It. I enjoyed my first experience so…read moremuch that I have been back for more. Cake It is at Promenade Shopping Centre. The store is located next to mall entrance 4. There is plenty of parking in the evening during weekdays. The storefront is beautiful. I was mesmerized by how gorgeous it looked the first time and still feel the same way. If you are feeling fancy, you can order a latte with a printed design on top. Their coffee machine has different designs to choose from. I also like that you can get dairy-free options in your latte, such as oat or almond beverage. I loved my latte. It had a touch of sugar, which I appreciated. It tasted yummy and hit the spot. This dessert place is known for making sweet sushi. It looks like sushi, but in dessert form. It takes three days to make one sweet sushi roll. It looked like a lot of work to put it together. I have had the Oreo sushi. It was sweet, but not to the point where I felt that my teeth were disintegrating in front of me. I loved how soft the interior was and how nicely it held together by the chocolate exterior coating. Yummy! What brings me back to this store is the fine assortment of desserts. The store also has sugar-free options that I dig. I've had the following items so far: - Lemon macaron - Lemon tart - Cake pop (sugar-free) - Magnum filled with mousse The lemon macaron was awesome. I love tart lemon and this macaron had it. The lemon tart was equally as tart (pun unintended, but it's kind of funny that it should be) and delicious. It had more crust than I would have liked, though. I'm more of a filling person. Delicious nonetheless! The cake pop was moist and yummy. It was the right portion size, except that I wanted five more of them. It was delicious. The magnum was super delicate. I loved the white chocolate on the outside and the decadent mousse inside. It was a bit heavy that I couldn't hold it by the stick and eat it. All of these goodies were not overly sweet. It felt decadent eating each dessert item. It was nice treating myself to these goodies. I will give a croissant a try next time. There's so much to check out, including cakes and cheesecakes. Staff are warm and helpful. I love that they describe each dessert item that I'm curious about with so much passion. I'll be back again for more. (326)

All I know is that I walked in and saw them baking fresh flatbread and knew I had to get some. I got two kinds of bread, as well as something I was told I could dip the bread in. I got a very large, round, very thin flatbread covered in sesame seeds for $1.50. I also got a very long, quasi-rectangular-but-almost-triangular flatbread covered in sesame seeds that wasn't quite as thin for $3.50. That one I actually watched them pull out of the oven. I asked if they sold anything I could dip the bread into. They pointed me to what looked like a baba ganoush colored dip topped with what could have been very darkly fried onions or some kind of spice mixture in olive oil. I asked what it was. They said it was mashed meat, but the hand gestures were more shredded than mashed. I got it anyways. That one cost me $6.50. I was told to heat it before eating it. Okay! Went to Grandma's. Heated the dip. The oil and spice combo turned out to be cinnamon, if I'm not mistaken. The bottom tasted like nothing. Honestly. Nothing. It also had the consistency of glue, or what my brain imagines poi would be like. It's not like any meat I've ever had. Perhaps there was some sort of language gap there. If anyone can tell me what I ate and whether this is the way it was supposed to taste, I'd really like to know. If what I'm describing is a fantastic example of whatever it's supposed to be, I'll change my review. However, right now, I'm just super confused. We ended up dipping our bread in garlic and herb cream cheese dip covered in spicy pineapple jam. I'd still come back for the bread.
