I appreciated their assistance since it was our first visit. I opted to order choose your own salad bowls. My salad included avocado, fried onions, spring mix lettuce, bacon and a few other ingredients with ranch dressing. The items were tossed together and chopped up. I have to admit that a good chopped salad is my new favorite thing. I will definitely visit Diced again. Also, the restroom here was super clean. I've grabbed food at this Diced a couple of times and overall it's been a good experience. The parking lot where it's located is a little busy because it's next to a Trader Joe's, but I've always been able to find a spot. The quality of the food is tasty just like the other location, but they messed up my wife's order last time and gave her the wrong base for her bowl. I'll probably drive a few more minutes to get to the other location on O'Kelly Chapel Rd. for future orders. read more

I had such a great first experience visiting my local Diced Salads location near where I work. The staff were super-friendly and accommodating, nothing me feel rushed while looking at all these of the options. I was feeling under the weather and was asking about the tomato basil soup. Oni and Matt went above and beyond to get me a sample (I loved it and ordered a bowl) as well as made an awesome salad for me. The soup and salad were soooo good, and my salad was so big it was essentially two meals for me! I enjoyed finishing it for supper later! Good place! I been here a lot to all their location. Quick and yummy and healthy! Sometimes I do have bad experience with their tofu being burnt and not the best. I think it happen a few times at multiple of diced location not just the cary one. It good when it done right. I love their ginger carrot dressing. I wish I could buy it in a bottle but they don't sell that one. Once they do sell it I will be buying it. It so yummy and the best. It the big reason I keep coming back. Everyone usually super nice who works there. Sometimes the works are more generous with how they fill the bowls and sometimes it a bit small. Bottom line: DICED yielded a OK salad but for the price, the bang for the buck was not there at least for me. Good portion but OK salad taste, not over the top result. The Deets: I had a chance to go by and have lunch with a work group at this Cary location of DICED recently. It's a nice bright place inside but not a huge amount of seating inside, there are tables outside as well I believe. When I came up to order, it reminded me of a Subway type of set up where you give your order, they put the components together then on down the line they chop and mix the components to your specifications. The concept was cool, the result after the execution was not as great as I was expecting. The portion was big (bigger than maybe I'd want for a serving of salad) but it tasted like a normal type salad...I got a "Daisy Duke" type (sliced roasted turkey, bacon, shredded cheddar, egg, red onion, tomatoes & croutons with their buttermilk ranch dressing mixed in) off the menu but with no egg or tomato. It's not cheap for a salad and for that price, I am expecting a bang for the buck...it was OK for a salad but not over the top for me. The salad was not my favorite and had so much dressing which was over powering. They had lots of staff but I couldn't help notice how dirty their work stations were. So here's a question. If a salad has filet mignon, chicken breast, bacon, crispy onions, and tortilla strips, is it really still a salad? Well I put that theory to the test. This salad has all the aforementioned ingredients, plus spinach, romaine, jalapenos, bell peppers, cucumbers, plus tomatoes, which I added. For dressing, I asked for both the honey dijon and sweet chipotle on the side. The combination of the zesty and assertive mustard dressing countered the sweet and spice of the chipotle dressing. The portion was enough to fill me up and that's saying something, because I can put a lot of food away. Some bread would've been a nice addition though. It's a great place, in that they focus on healthy food, but in a creative way. I hope they expand to the Hampton Roads region in the near future. read more

Not a great experience for me. I was on a time crunch but needed a quick lunch, so I thought DICED would be a good option. When I arrived (around 12:30 on a Friday), nearly every table was full and there was a few people standing around, who didn't look like they were in the process of ordering. I made my way over to the kiosk and the employee asked if I was picking up an order. I said no and she pointed to her right and said "line starts over there". I didn't see a sign that said "Order Here" when I walked in, and looked around and didn't see one anywhere. I think DICED could benefit from having one of these. I ordered a Southwest Crunch salad bowl with everything in it. It was a fairly easy ordering process, I thought, until I saw that the staff was putting together a large order of 5+ bowls in front of mine. The staff member putting together my salad put it in between the first and second bowls already sitting on the counter. A couple of the other employees said "Hey hey hey, whoa whoa whoa", apparently because this was disrupting the whole process that was going on. A little awkward. At that point, my salad was next to another Southwest Crunch bowl. The last employee to touch my salad said "This yours?". I wasn't sure if it was, and I said "Umm, I'm not sure?" but he was already chopping up the salad in a metal bowl. Guess it's mine. After all is said and done, my salad was "just okay". Nothing I would go out of my way for. While I was eating it I discovered some chickpeas in it, which isn't on the ingredients list for this salad. I don't mind chickpeas, but some people might get upset about it. read more

Stopped by here for an impromptu lunch. Got the mango paradise salad with tofu as protein. My husband made his own bowl with shrimp. Overall the salad was alright but one thing i noticed at this location was their meat is very close to the vegetarian or non-meat options. Example, when I stood in line trying to figure out my protein, I saw chunks of meat in the quinoa. This is unacceptable. At least keep the meat separate and the vegetarian options separate. That was off putting to me! Also the tofu was really hard, almost not edible because it tasted weird and chewy. We also noticed that the salad itself was pricey. I got the mango paradise and added avocado, which came to like $13ish.... That's a little expensive. The dressings were not very good and the portions were not good and the price was a little on the high side - and it didn't fill me up whatsoever. Service was definitely lacking something as well. It was pretty blah. Don't get me wrong, my salad was great, but the vibe? Not my favorite. Y'all, I hate to be a downer, but gosh am I sticking to the other Cary Diced location. The vibe of this store was much tighter and clostrophobic. The staff weren't as friendly, and the toppings didn't look particularly fresh (I'm looking at you dried up carrot and cabbage).
