I have been here a few times. The first time I got the brisket baked potato. That had me addicted- so since then I have come in to buy a pound of brisket, we take it home and have it on baked potatoes, or smoked potatoes and recently we had it on fries. I had no issues with quality, how the food was prepared, or the temperature of the food. Even for delivery. My over all personal opinion is that this place just does not have good tasting food, and their meat portions are very small. The "loaded baked potato casserole" tasted like slightly under seasoned mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was decent. The bread was decent. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was greasy and tasted like something you could get from walmart and they just threw on the grill. The brisket was incredibly dry and was so salty that I couldn't taste any smoke flavor at all. The pulled pork was actually very good. Moist, tender, and decent smoke flavor. The fact that Dickey's BBQ has 2.9 stars on Yelp & Legends Smokehouse Grill has 4.5, Mission BBQ has 4.4 is confusing to me. Dickie's deserves a higher score than the other two. My husband and I had lunch at Dickie's for the first time today. The burnt end sandwich was full of juicy, tender, flavorful meat. My husband's brisket was tender and tasty. The sides of coleslaw, okra and fries were not just run-of-the-mill like some places. It was everything that we wanted it to be. We will be going back. No plans of going back to Legends or Mission. We placed an online order while at work, and it was a rough experience. The ordering process online was pretty clear and concise. No troubles there. But it does allow you to track your order and ours never left from the initial stage of "Order in the Cue" I placed the order for us 3 workers and was sent a confirmation to my email at 12:46 pm to be ready by 1:30pm. The person picking up our food got there around 2:00pm and it still wasn't ready. I had been using the tracking link to keep an eye on the order so we didn't go before our 1:30 pick-up, then we just decided someone to go and see what was up. I figured they might be busy. Our orders were all wrong. The person making the pick-up is also our flower delivery driver, so he just grabbed the food and left. He was one of 3 people picking up food. My loaded potato was missing items that were an additional cost, my potato was cold [and they were just putting it together when he got there], one of the meal plates was missing items. We don't work but a few miles away, but it's still irritating to have to stop your work and fix mistakes. I was going to call and just get a refund, but decided to just go and get what wasn't given. The girls working were all nice and were able to give me the items that should have been on the order without a problem. But when you're paying 16$ for a plate of food, I don't want to have to make more trips just to get it sorted out. One of the girls did say that they were slammed around lunchtime, but since our order was being packed up at 2:15 and there wasn't much going on, I think they just didn't read tickets properly. Another issue I had was I specifically asked for NO green onions, I have gallbladder issues and red meats and onions set it off...so I had to pick through my order because.....you guessed it! There were green onions all over the damn thing. I was missing a total of 3 things from my order [all toppings that I paid for afditionally], one plate meal was missing an item and the third plate meal- the Mac n cheese lid wasn't on al the way so it busted all over the bag. This whole experience wasn't worth the nearly 60$ that we paid. I am writing this review about Trailerbirds hot chicken, virtual restaurant. Two major gripes about this place 1. Service and delivery timing is god awful. Ordered at 6:30, the food finished and was delivered at 8:45. If you're going to establish yourself as an actual takeout restaurant at least have delivery times be somewhat manageable. 2. They do not label the boxes the food comes in so it's impossible to tell which flavor chicken each one is. The mac and cheese is glorified Kraft. No matter how spicy your order the chicken, its absolutely flavorless. Texas toast is tolerable, but the tater tots and fries came cold. Please for the love of god, if you cant manage two restaurants at once, don't. Seems they are too overwhelmed in there especially with the under staffing these days to actually care about the quality and deserved experience of this chicken shop. Nuff said read more

Let me just say Clarkesville does not need another barbecue place and it doesn't need Dickey's barbecue pit. We came to Dickey's after church at about 11 o'clock. There was no one inside but the place was definitely open however all the food was not ready. When we were told that the ribs were not ready we decided we'd order something else. I ordered a sausage plate and my daughter ordered the chicken plate. I got the onion rings, macaroni and cheese and she got the waffle fries and green beans. The staff looked very unclean and unkept. As best I could tell, there were only three employees there to open up. Since everything was not ready we considered leaving at this point but while waiting we decided to look around. I looked just over the counter where the macaroni and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes were uncovered. The food looked like it had just been taken from refrigerator. Since the food was uncovered, flies were about the food. The pictures will show what we found. The majority if not all most all but about three of the barbecue condiments had not been filled. The soft serve ice cream had yet to be started. Finally there was no ice in the ice machine. As a result of what we found we decided we take the food home rather than eating in. We are never going back I could tell you more but U get the point. read more

We have frequented Dickey's since it opened years ago. We LOVED it, but it has gone down hill the past few times we've visited. They are almost always out of multiple options. Today's list of things they were out of was: turkey, spicy kielbasa, fried okra, Diet Coke, root beer, large cups, small cup lids, forks, and ice cream. When we walked in the entire place was filled with smoke, apparently from a fryer that overheated. The staff members were nice, but they were obviously understaffed and they seemed flustered and frustrated. The trash cans were packed (I'm sure no one had time to take it out) and the back hall where the bathrooms are was messy with extra boxes and supplies. The women's bathroom had a broken soap dispenser and broken toilet paper dispenser. It was just sort of a mess everywhere you looked. Very disappointing. First of all not very clean. Most of the tables that I looked at were dirty and I needed to be wiped down. High chairs were absolutely disgusting and that really turned me off. I mean a baby wipe was fully brown after trying to clean railings on it. And our food was at carnival food level. I had the pulled pork nachos - cheese and chips were cheap, pulled pork was ok. The beans tasted like they were from a can. My husband got the chicken sandwich which was also very disappointing. It was just sliced chicken, sauce and a bun. I'm appalled. I have no idea what was going on in there tonight. I LOVED this place when I lived in Hawaii but this Clarksville location ain't it. I ordered two BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. The meat isn't even "pulled" for one. It's HUGE chunks of meat. The fat wasn't even taken off & it's the closest thing to inedible. We threw both of our sandwiches away. We usually get XL Family Pack feeds 6-8 - choice of 3 meats (1 lb. each), 3 medium sides, 8 rolls & barbecue sauce. This runs approx $45. Also had them cater for a get together at our house. Let me start by saying the ribs, chicken and pulled pork were very good. We arrived about 4:30 pm on a Saturday and they were out of the brisket and both types of sausage, so I take it that those are very good too. I ordered Mac and cheese and spicy beans as a side, my husband had the beans and fried okra. My sides were cold and I don't mean like warm, they were cold. The staff may be new and that may have been part of the problem. The restaurant was very cold so I believe that didn't help. The staff plated the sides and had them sitting on the tray while waiting for the meats, which was probably 5-7 minutes. The restaurant was so cold that I chose to sit outside. I sat down and tasted my sides, they were cold so I went in and asked them to warm them up. They placed them in the meat warmer. I waited a few minutes and just took back the cold sides as my BBQ was also getting cold. I am surprised they wouldn't have a microwave to warm up my food. I would say the BBQ is very good but they need to do some training on preparing the food and customer service. read more

It's not the best BBQ I've ever had, but it's really good and by far the best I've had in Clarksville. This is the third time we've been here & I've had the pulled pork (good flavor & very moist), chopped beef brisket (my fave! also very moist), & the BBQ honey ham (you can taste the smoke). The fried okra & onion tanglers are served HOT & fresh, the slaw is good & so are the baked beans. I can skip the bread, it's not worth the carbs/calories. The servings are good size & the sweet tea is GOOD! Service is not awful, the people are nice enough, it's just not one of those restaurants where you have people serving you at the table. We came in once and asked for just a taste of both sausages & they were happy enough to give us a big piece of each. Bottom line: I LOVE BBQ, I'm glad they're here & we'll def be back. read more

The food was okay. The staff were all rude and I mean ALL. I ordered one pound of sausage and half-rack of ribs. I had changed my half-rack of ribs order to a full-rack and the employee cutting the ribs let out a few huffs and puffs. My mom had wanted to have the ribs NOT cut so she can take it back home to NY on her flight in a few hours. But the employee was rudely saying "What do you mean? Like what?" And the other employee paid no attention to the fact that my mom just wanted it not cut and continued cutting as her and I kept saying we did NOT want it cut. I told the employee taking our order that I want two sides of potato salad, he rolled his eyes and walked to the back. When I was ready to pay the employee (who was also taking our order) packing the order spilt the sauce of the sausage and loudly said "F*ck." (By this time it didn't shock me he had just cussed since the entire visit had felt like I was asking for an arm and a leg from the employees.) The worst part is he continued to put the box inside the wet bag as I mentioned my mom was taking this back to NY. As far as barbecue goes, well above average. As far as service goes, excellent. I would not hesitate to go here again. I brought a group and we did the catering deal. They were wonderful, gracious and accommodating of our folks. True Southern hospitality. Restaurant was clean and overall just a nice place to visit. The only problem we had (and it worked itself out so not really a problem) was getting a hold of them.
