I have been visiting this location for 9 years and I have never been dissatisfied with my meal or its preparation. Their ribeye consistently comes out medium rare and the burger is the best value/price and quality of ANY fast food or traditional restaurant. Though there is been turnover in staff over the years there is still a core group who make easy for me to come back. The Manager Damian, Bartender Nick, Servers Eddie, Angie, and Samantha or always pleasant which make for a relaxed dining experience. The atmosphere and style is exactly what you would expect from a steak house. Here is an inside tip. The best place to sit in the restaurant is either the high-top tables near the bar, at the bar or at the booths closest to the bar. These area areas are typically served by the senior bartender Nick who is attentive and really fun to to interact with. Lastly, I would like to see the "Blackend Chicken Sandwich" kept on the menu it was fantastic and my go to item next to the burger. read more

LongHorn is so run of the mill that I forgot to even take photos of my food. It's just one of those places you're used to stopping by for a quick meal, composed of old favorites. Nothing flashy, nothing new or innovative, just basic, solid steakhouse fare. I had the Flo's filet, which can be purchased in 6 or 9 oz versions. My husband had the renegade. Flo's is slightly more expensive than the renegade, but as someone who's worked at LongHorn and who's eaten there many times over the years, Flo's is the best cut they have, and the best value. At first my husband was unconvinced, but once he tried mine, he agreed Flo's is superior, and the price difference (about 10 dollars for the 6 oz portion) was probably worth it. Most LongHorns, but at least at this location, the temps are always correct (we order medium). Seasoning is basic and on point. The fries are almost always crispy (every now and then they get a little soggy waiting to be brought out). Sides are always a basic, well done staple, such as broccoli, baked potato, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and rice. I do miss the Flo's filet and salmon deal. That was perfect and I always loved to order it and take home left overs. Now you can do similar things with shrimp and lobster tail, but that's not my thing. Our service is always pretty good, this time was no exception. Even on a busy easter Sunday. They also offer other cuts of meat (ribeye, the longhorn, the NY strip). You can have your steak modified with parmesan crust, roasted mushrooms, and the aforementioned lobster tail or shrimp. Also available is seafood such as salmon and shrimp. LongHorn also offers lamb chops, burgers, chopped steak, chicken, ribs, and a ton of salads (strawberry and pecans, grilled chicken and strawberry, 7-pepper sirloin, and field greens). They have some decent margaritas, though I haven't had them in a long time. Desserts: chocolate stampede (sweet, decadent), strawberries and cream shortcake, molten lava cake, and their cheesecake. Came to town to eat dinner with my family. The place wasn't super busy. I ordered a burger, others got steak. My burger came out raw. Had to ask multiple times for someone to get our waitress, and still waited almost 10 minutes until she came out. They remade it, but the remake did not come out until 10 minutes after the rest of my family had finished their meal. Family said everything was also heavily salted. I was still charged for the burger and offered no comp (oh well, not a huge deal). On the menu it stated $1.99 to add a side salad to my burger. On the receipt I was charged $4.99 to add the salad. I've gone there a few times early in the day when it was not busy but the wait staff seems to forget me. If I need something they are nowhere to be found. Longhorns is a steakhouse, serving exactly what you should expect-STEAK I had salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and a strawberry pecan salad. I could have used a little more rice pilaf, but it was complimentary to my salmon. They were out of stuffed mushrooms, but the boat of shrimp was plenty and seasoned well. Definitely order the dragon fruit margarita It was tasty. If you like a heavy pour, you may need to make a request, but for us light weights, this is perfectly made! Let me start by saying this was a work dinner & the absolute last place I would have chosen because I've had the same complaints in visits past to other locations. Our server was the only redeeming part of the meal for me, although even she forgot some of our accompanying items. She was clearly over-worked - stretched too thin. One of the members of our party ordered a ribeye, received a strip steak (minus his fries), and our server returned to explain that even though the kitchen insisted this was "the other end" of the ribeye, she reordered his ribeye. It eventually came out with his fries. I asked for extra bleu cheese with my wings, and I suppose someone playing the order assumed that meant instead of the Buffalo sauce (that only comes on the side). I eventually got some Buffalo sauce, but by then we were nearly done eating. While the wings were big, they were totally under seasoned. My Caesar salad was okay - it could have used more dressing. It was the shrimp & lobster chowder that disappointed the most. It tasted like it came from Campbell's Soup. If there were any bits of lobster, I never found them. I did find one shrimp. Nick was pleasantly talking with his coworkers and giving everyone within the sound of his voice a dose of positive reinforcement. These employees are not just working for the company, they represent LongHorn and as the Public Face of your SteakHouse they couldn't have done a better job. Food is always amazing... but today when I went with my mother in law and my parents and husband, the server seemed nice but he didn't check on us hardly at all and then when we were waiting on the check for a while, we asked another waitress to get our waiter for us and when she told him we heard him mumble "I swear these people..." how disrespectful... we hardly asked for ANY THING.... I am not 100% sure where to start. The moment I walked in the bar was full of dirty dishes. The bartender was nowhere to be found when she finally did show up it took her another 10 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink. I ordered my steak, medium rare. It came out very rare. Shortly after our waiter served us our food he placed the check down on our table not even asking if we wanted anything else. Location on Wilma Rudolph in Clarksville TN. Ambiance is country fun as are all LHSH. Audrey, our server was fabulous and on her first day. The bread, ah the bread, ah the wonderful bread, need I say more? I ordered salad with chicken and strawberries, grapes, candied pecans with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. I ordered it with dressing on the side. Which means the cook/chef/ pantry chef doesn't put the salad dressing on the salad, the customer gets to do that. I also ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder if it did not have onion in it. If there was onion in it, I requested the crispy brussels sprouts. Audrey came back and said there's onions in the chowder so she ordered the Brussel sprouts for me. I also ordered water to drink with a small bowl of lemons and a small bowl of limes. Ginger ordered the same salad exactly like I did. The dressing on the side. She also ordered the loaded potato soup. The salads arrived and dressing was on the side but dressing was also on the salads. And that's not how that works. Mine didn't have a lot of dressing on it, so I was able to eat it. However, Ginger tried very hard to eat hers and it was absolutely soaked in dressing. It's supposed to be salad not soup. She got almost halfway through it and I couldn't stand looking at how miserable she was. So I asked Audrey to bring a half salad with no dressing. She said she ordered that with no dressing and I said I know you did I saw you write it down. So Ginger ate her soup and I continued to eat my meal and then a half salad was brought. It had even more dressing on it than the full salad did 15 minutes before. Now, I have worked in restaurants and I know that cooks/chefs get aggravated when people return food to the kitchen. But if the cook/chef can't get the order right it's going to go back to the kitchen! And it darn well better come out correctly. It did not, so I suggested that she order something else. She ordered the steak salad I think it's called a 7 pepper steak salad. Dry! And Audrey said she was going to talk to the Cook/chef I don't know what his title is. She said it was his first day, but anybody that has ever cooked in a restaurant knows what it means when a patron Orders dressing on the side. So the steak salad came out and it was delicious. She enjoyed it. Audrey was wonderful, very apologetic through the whole thing, upbeat, and lovely. She was tipped well because it wasn't her fault. Our waitress (Isabella) tonight had absolutely no personality at all with an attitude right from the start! This was the first time I was ever carded here (I'm 60) Checked my id for a beer and I said jokingly - now I expect a birthday card! She made a snarky comment and I said - please hear me I was joking with you - she just walked away! Portions were way smaller than I remember!! Our beers were on the flat side, no head at all. This might be one of the best places in town to get a steak. The service by our waitress was incredible. She was very attentive, kind, and patient with our group. We enjoyed a nice long lunch with appetizers and beverages. Fried pickles are a must! All of the meals were more than filling, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the salads. They use dark leafy greens with a plethora of topping options with salad variation. You will not be disappointed. UPDATE: Extremely disappointed after having lunch yesterday with my mom and daughter, and also extremely surprised. Service was pretty close to the worst I've ever had ANYWHERE. We had a male server that didn't give his name, but looked like the wolverine with a very hairy face and dirty appearance. When he brought our drinks, he set them on the table with his hand holding the top of our glasses where we drink. Huge server no no. I asked for my side salad before my prime rib sandwich came, but I never got it. When I did get it, it was so soaked in dressing I couldn't eat it, AND the meat on my sandwich had been cooked until it was crunchy. I'd already waited over 30 minutes for lunch, and the server was only watching TV in the bar, not taking care of his tables in the least. He didn't check on us until it was time to go. He took my $9.99 sandwich off the bill, of course (I only ate one bite) but I left there hungry. Had service been better I'd have ordered prime rib to replace my sandwich. Longhorn's missed the opportunity to correct their mistake right then. There are far too many nice places in C'ville to eat than to have to eat somewhere with horrible service. It ruins a meal. I had a super craving for prime rib, and Longhorn did not disappoint. I ordered a big one, mid rare, baked potato and a salad. Hubby had the ribeye with asparagus and a salad. I had admittedly low expectations when we went to Longhorn, I expected it to be on par with other steakhouses in town like Logan's or Texas Roadhouse ... I was surprised by this place. We went on New Year's Eve which also happened to be a Saturday night and needless to say it was BUSY. we waited well over an hour to be sat despite the host repeatedly telling us "about thirty minutes." Not their fault though, it was truly very busy. Our server was incredible. A true professional, she handled multiple tables with ease and stayed very attentive the entire time we were seated. It's rare these days to have such a competent and pleasant server! She was really hustling and took good care of all the tables. The steaks also exceeded my expectations. We ordered the Texas Tonion appetizer which I thought was terrible. It was like something you'd pick up in the frozen food section and reheat in your oven - yuck. Luckily, the steaks made up for this appetizer. I ordered the New York strip medium and it came a perfect juicy medium. It was absolutely delicious. My sides of asparagus and the upgraded Mac n cheese with bacon were delicious! I've ordered asparagus at a different steakhouse in town and it was terrible. Here, they were plump and cooked perfectly. Such a good companion to a perfectly cooked steak. My husband ordered the large outlaw ribeye rare, and it actually came rare. He said this was the first time he's received a truly rare steak from a restaurant. He loved it! He got the loaded mashed potatoes and enjoyed those as well.
