I finally flagged them down to get an update on the status after waiting 75 minutes. While we were waiting for our food 3 tables were sat around us and they all got their appetizers and dinners before us. There were maybe 20 people in the restaurant so they couldn't even use being busy as an excuse. Once we the waitress brought our food on a serving tray I told her that we would need checks and to go containers because we are now on a time crunch to our next destination. She put the food on another table and walked away. I served our plates myself so we could finally start eating. All food came out except one meal which we were assured was coming. 15 minutes later that last entree finally arrived and it was no correct. At that point we just left. We were a table of 7- 4 adults and 3 kids. One of the kids meals was the one forgotten. In my experience the kids should be served first. The manager came over and gave us $9 off our bill of $80 which I think is pathetic for now having to eat our food at home cold and reheated.

I would've given this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the smell from the bar drains. They smell like they need flushed on a regular basis. With 30 beers on tap, I'm sure those drains are full of slime. YUCK!

I have been here quite a few times and always in the mornings because that's when I get the chance because of lunch break from my job. Sometimes it's a young man who always has his hat on but others it this young blonde girl who has her hair in a loose bun or ponytail and looks like there was no effort in trying to keep her hair up and out of the food. She never has a hat on and the last time I was in there I had a long blonde hair in my potatoes. My pulled pork sandwich was cold and the container it came out of looked disgusting. The pork was weirdly stringy and was either three days old or way over cooked. And I swear I have never gotten toast even though my meal always comes with it. Another thing with this place is the amount of time it takes to get help with something after being served specifically when the girl is working because she is in the back goofing off with two guys. Talk about Gen Z workplace. I haven't seen an adult there in months that is actually working and not just in and out. I stronger recommend not going here. They have poor service and cold or old food. read more

This location (Coldwater)has a new owner,and there trying to get back that greatness that Dickies always had. Phenomenall food, fantastic customer service and a good atmosphere. So to say the food is just as good as it always was and could be. They doing their thing the right way. The workers there,were a brother and sister,and a older woman with the kindness, and bravado of a grandparent would have. She kept us engaged and made my friend I smile. This review is not about the bland barely seasoned meat, this review is not even about the pig mush they refer to ass mac n cheese. This review is about the nasty ass worker who took the chopped brisket I returned, the brisket I could have coughed on, spit on, talked over, and put it right back with the rest of the food to be served to customers. Then another nasty ass worker proceeded to "slice" brisket and took a piece and put it into his nasty ass mouth. Don't eat here or you'll probably get COVID-19. read more

What a pleasant change for the area. If your looking for a great meal, lunch or dinner, you won't go wrong with Dickey's BBQ. The meats are nicely smoked, and the sauces are excellent. The sides are great, with a variety and selection. My personal favorites are the ham, Turkey, pulled pork and brisket. Although all of the meat selections are very good. I love the baked potatoe casserole. The fried Okra is very good as well. Free ice cream, and kids eat free on Sunday. The complete package. read more

I tried Dickey's for the first time on Friday Aug. 2nd. My boss sent me to Kalamazoo (From Port Clinton Ohio) for a order of tee shirts. There I met Steve Smith, the manager of the E.Chicago st. store. Staff was great! Food was Fabulous! The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom. I can't say enough about the great experience! The dark wood, massive beams, staircases, vintage clocks and railroad memorabilia give the place a wonderful atmosphere. There are even stained-glass windows that were rescued from a church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I started with the Overseas Railroad, a fruity blue cocktail that was refreshing and dangerously easy to drink. Probably a good thing I wasn't the engineer. My wife ordered the ribeye, which came out sizzling and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the Maple Glazed Salmon with long-grain wild rice and green beans. The salmon was tender and moist, and the sweet maple glaze complemented it nicely. The green beans deserve a special mention because they had just the right amount of crunch and snap. We finished by sharing a warm salted caramel cookie with white chocolate chips and pretzel pieces, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. It was the perfect ending to an excellent meal.
