IT'S A TRAP !!!!! The prices are obscene for what you get! The BBQ meat is "Ok", but nowhere near home smoked or food truck level.. but better than fast food. The real issue is the prices. 22$ for a small dinner consisting of $4.75 TINY 4oz PER sides and 1/4lb of brisket. $4.75 for tiny 4oz sides that is (literally) 8 TIMES the price of say Kroger for the same thing is insane. Generic Colesaw for 19$ a lb??? yea no thanks. 32.50 $ for a lb of "ok" dried brisket???? Yea, No thanks. The place was dead on a Friday night and it's no wonder. I was embarrassed for the workers there (Who were very nice BTW) that were obviously embarrassed at the price gouging. Don't take my word for it.. look at my photos. Does that look like Just those small amount of beans and slaw was $10!! These prices would make The movie theater's concession stands blush.

I rarely give bad reviews but 45 mins to make 1 pulled pork sandwich is kinda ridiculous. I watched plenty of people behind me get there food eat and leave before I got my order. Top it off that I just found a hair in my sandwich -_-

This is the 3 meat plate. Absolutely delicious and the portions are perfect. Feeling like Homer Simpson

I don't usually leave these reviews but fpr this place it's a must. I've never been here and Pam and Kyle who were working were so polite and helpful with everything and patient with my millions of questions about the catering and food. They were absolutely awesome. The food was absolutely amazing, I even got some brisket to go for home!!! I would make the long drive just to come here again!! Highly recommended

I emailed socialmedia@dickeys.com on August 8. I never heard back. Seems they wanted to make it publicly look like they did something to help resolve and improve customer satisfaction but no response as of September 18. For that I knock off another star.

This place has great barbecue and is so much better than the restaurant with the initials of F.D. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Place just feels like it needs a good scrub; that's how it left me feeling. You also will need to change your clothes after cause you can't escape the smoke. Not sure how anyone volunteers to sit on what looks like a nice patio while the meat smoker is sitting right next to it. Even inside feels a bit grimey and smoky but if you like that smell you'd be in heaven. Hostess was nice but the waitress seemed a bit on edge/ feminist/ snotty. Not too friendly and made some comments that made me wanna let her know she can eff off at any time. Commentary about who's paying between a husband and wife or claiming you get two beers out of one line (that's a new one for me... I wouldn't want two different types of beer coming out of the same "line") and that the fact I didn't like the flat, "soft" ipa I sampled, as it tasted old or just not very good, trying to just prove me wrong... seemed like she had it out for me as man. Also wouldn't allow my kid to have chicken and fries instead of ribs from the kids menu so had to order a full 1/2 smoked chicken instead. Don't care for her attitude at all. Food was eh. Couple of bright spots- beans were smoky and sweet, good mix. The chicken, both wing and 1/2 were overly smoked and the skin became hard in a lot of parts. Had to scrape the chicken off the skin to eat it. Mac and cheese was good too. Cajun slaw was just vinegary without much of a Cajun punch. Queso brisket dip was on the sweet side. Didn't really get much brisket that I could find or taste in the dip. We couldn't finish all our food; just got sick of the flavor/ taste. Interesting sauce with the rock n rye Faygo bbq sauce. Could definitely taste the pop influence. Their XXX spicy sauce was okay; wouldn't say it's ghost pepper or unbearable. It's got some after spice which I liked. Really like the attempt they are making with the place and I hope they get their meats from the neighboring butcher as I've heard good things about the market place meats in the same strip. Oh they also charge you a 3.5% admin fee with every card purchase... p

It was pretty bland, but I guess that was predictable based on its name. I got the boss hog combo, which includes pulled pork, brisket, sausage, corn bread, and two sides. I chose sweet potato mash and killer mac n' cheese as my sides. The meats on the platter were delicious. My go-to BBQ meat is brisket, but the pulled pork here was my favorite. As for the sides, I definitely preferred the mac over the sweet potato mash. Out of the 10+ BBQ establishments I've been to in Michigan, Smoke Street would rank somewhere in the 6-8 range.

We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a great start. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended. For the price, the food just did not deliver. Everything felt average at best, but the biggest letdown was the brisket. It was tough, chewy, and almost rubbery, which is not what you expect from a BBQ place. We ordered three different dishes including the brisket tacos, half slab of ribs, and the Boss Hog, and none of them stood out in a good way. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality and we left pretty disappointed.

I've never heard of it before and saw that it just opened? Plus, it was less then a mile from where I was at, which made it much easier to decide. (Plus, I wasn't in the mood for fast food.) Pulling in, the place is in a strip mall and reasonably easy to find. There's a decent amount of seating here for up to parties of 4. You order at the counter and the menu's overhead. (it's also online.) They have fabulous lunch specials here which I got for $9.99. It's a meat of your choice (to many to list), Texas toast and one side. Plenty of side options to choose from, so I went with mac and cheese. Meal deal also comes with a drink, and fortunately they have fountain pop, which is important to me. They also have some canned options but who cares about that. LOL. I saw that they also have larger meals for up to 10 people? I think it's like $55 or something. Sounds good if you're having a gathering and need to feed people. Prices here seem fair for what you get, and they have a decent amount of options. Anyway, my food came out and it was FABULOUS. I loved my brisket. Mac and cheese was awesome as well, and the Texas toast was good as well. Portions were ample and filling. They have 2 BBQ sauces here. One's the house sauce and two others that I didn't like. I don't like the yellow looking BBQ sauce that's out on the market. I think it's a version of South Carolina's form of BBQ sauce? It's to vingerish for me. Anyway, the house specialty BBQ sauce was fantastic and really made the brisket taste even better. Overall I'm happy that this place opened. I guess there's only one other location in the country and it's in Monroe Ohio. So, if you can, drive here and check it out. You'll thank me later!

My brother (ribs lover), who celebrates his birthday every year at Famous Dave's, said this will be the new spot from now on! However, everything we ate was seasoned well and really tasty. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the brisket was a little dry. I blamed it on the holiday but it seems to be something they may want to address since it wasn't just me. But other than that, the food was pretty durn good. My only other complaint was that there is no seating while you're waiting for your table. I'm sure there's a reason behind it..especially once I saw the carry out line down the seating area. Even the bar seats have the 6 sauces at every two seats. They have the seasonal one now, which makes up the 6th sauce. It is a KC smoky sauce. The remaining sauces are still apple, sweet, spicy, NC, and SC mustard. Pro tip: lift the straw on any drinks with a salt rim For a drink to start things, I tried the tallow-rita which I found to be pretty interesting, at least on paper. It consists of smoked tallow washed tequila, gran gala, lime, honey, pineapple, a smoked sea salt rim, and brisket and dehydrated lime garnish. This sounded like a lot of effort to make. I later added an iced tea for the road. For my food I chose the 1/4lb brisket (fatty) and a side of the premium mac n cheese. I later added their famous carrot cake. Margarita - kind of disappointing since the menu states they have a brisket garnish, but the bartender says they're not doing that anymore. Geez, that was part of the reason I even ordered the drink in the first place. This drink was alright but was small and didn't wow me like I had hoped. Thus, the reason I ended up having to order the iced tea afterwards. Brisket - very thick single slice, fatty for sure. Exactly what I wanted. I tried the brisket with all 6 sauces and even went through the sauces twice just to make sure. Mac n cheese - a premium side that is $1 more. This is like a mini mac n cheese casserole. It uses shells as the pasta and sharp cheddar. Yummy! I loved the spices on this dish. Carrot cake - this was definitely moist and served with plenty of pecans I enjoyed it quite a bit. Wish they had banana pudding though! I'm also disappointed that they do have sausage but it's not available a la carte. It's only on the $59 sampler platter appetizer. Please consider making it a la carte as well!! I was thinking I'd like the spicy sauce the best, but it's not spicy and seemed more like a tomato paste to me...very strange! I ended up liking the apple sauce the best. It has the best overall taste, right consistency, and it's very neutral. The ambiance here was ok, but it was slow since I came at opening on a weekday, I can imagine it would be very different on the weekends!
