What a delightful place to have some food. Came in here on a Sunday to grab breakfast and I'm happy we did. They have a nice variety on the menu of things to eat. I was happy they had soups on the menu as well. The chicken noodle was a good soup, a little bland but nothing bad. The pancakes have this amazing taste to it. They are very good. My first lunch visit. A terrific experience. We substituted soups for the fries. Both the mushroom and chicken noodle soups are made in-house. The mushroom soup is thick and very flavorful. The chicken noodle soup was chock full of both chicken and noodles. Both soups were served hot! The gyro was tasty. My bride would order it again. My patty melt was ordered medium and arrived well done, but was very juicy and had good beef flavor. The cheese was dully melted and the toasting on the flat top was perfect. I would have appreciated a few more onions and for them to be more caramelized. Would I order it again? Maybe. If I am jones'ing for a patty melt, Copper Mug's is better. Surprisingly, I was too hungry to take any pics of my food which is a first haha. It is a classic breakfast joint with an easy menu but tasted great. I got a classic breakfast with eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and toast and it really hit the spot. The dining experience was made even better due to the staff. This is a new restaurant since mid-2025, so disregard reviews for the old Lakeside Grill. WLBH is remodeled completely, including a new kitchen. It's a family run restaurant. The employees love working for the owners. They use as many organic ingredients as they can and get fresh meat from a local farm. They make their own sauces and marinades. This is all per the owner, who is a delight. My husband ordered pancakes and said they were really good. Good flavor and fluffy. I ordered Banana Foster French Toast and it was delicious. They also let us sample their sausage gravy and berry compote, which were both excellent. I can't recommend it more highly and look forward to going back to try their lunch. read more

My wife and I tried this fairly new restaurant yesterday. Upon arrival several of the staff welcomed us and directed us to our table. Autumn, our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Vera, the owner came to our table as well as all the other guests. She spent several minutes talking with us about her experiences and her restaurant. She even showed us photos of how she makes the spinach pie, which my wife enjoyed. I went during a weekday morning, so the place wasn't crowded. I got the basic breakfast, I think they call it the Lakeside Special. I got crepes and they tasted like rubber. When Jason Carr was on; the wife of the owner claimed everything was organic and freshly squeezed orange juice daily. I don't know how, but I think it was the best corned beef omelette I've ever had -- including from local delicatessens that are known for corned beef! I was a little disappointed that my hash browns weren't actually brown, but they were so full of flavor that it turned out not to matter. You can't get an omelette this size at this price. Can easily be a meal or two of leftovers if you'd like. The egg was really thin, almost wrap-like, which didn't match how much filling they put it. But I won't complain. With the overall size, you still get plenty of egg in every bite. Hash browns were grated, fluffy, with a browned texture that could be more present. Fluffy hash browns usually means the potatoes had a lot of moisture and that's only going to increase with the steaming hot omelette. The corn beef hash was delicious, they have house made or canned options so be sure to specify if you want canned (but why would you?). Great option for cheap breakfast with expectations of leftovers, and service was surprisingly fast with the back to back rushes we saw from our table. At first I was reluctant to try Lakeside due to being upset about Arta's, but with a little encouragement I decided to give it a shot. The new owners did a great job on the interior, it's a very clean, well kept establishment. The food is delicious. I had a crispy chicken salad , the others in my group had coney dogs, chili cheese fries, a vegetarian burger (I might add, the bun was a higher end bun not white dough looking type) and a breakfast. Oh we had flaming cheese as well. Every order was very presentable and every one in my party loved the food they ordered. The service was great. Our waitress was Dina. She was friendly, fast, and on top of my coffee. She never delayed and always bought us exactly what we needed before even asking. What a great waitress she is.
