IT'S A TRAP !!!!! The prices are obscene for what you get! The BBQ meat is "Ok", but nowhere near home smoked or food truck level.. but better than fast food. The real issue is the prices. 22$ for a small dinner consisting of $4.75 TINY 4oz PER sides and 1/4lb of brisket. $4.75 for tiny 4oz sides that is (literally) 8 TIMES the price of say Kroger for the same thing is insane. Generic Colesaw for 19$ a lb??? yea no thanks. 32.50 $ for a lb of "ok" dried brisket???? Yea, No thanks. The place was dead on a Friday night and it's no wonder. I was embarrassed for the workers there (Who were very nice BTW) that were obviously embarrassed at the price gouging. Don't take my word for it.. look at my photos. Pork was VERY DRY.. It doesn't cost a dime to put some Au Jus on there.. considering it probably just drips into a tray and is discarded. Dickeys is right around the corner from our house which is super convenient. I've popped in a few times to grab some carryout when I've worked late and didn't feel like cooking. One thing I must say is that the owner/manager is the nicest man ever. He is extremely friendly and runs a tight ship with his employees who are always working hard and not slacking off. During all the COVID19 madness we wanted to make sure we still support our local businesses so we placed an online order for carryout. The online ordering was very simple and they happened to be running a special that was 2, two meat meals with two sides for $24. That is a great deal and it's a ton of food. They also have an option for delivery right now but since we live to close we picked it up. Our food was ready at the time stated. It was packaged nicely and the food was still hot. Food is legit but service...meh.... Stood in line while a customer was attended to then was told I will be right with you and then continued to wait while they made online and carryout orders. The Owner came out and I asked should I return to my car to place an order? The employee said No and the Owner ignored my discontent and walked away. During a Pandemic you would think get the customers out of the restaurant as soon as possible but they wanted to make me wait while they prepared the carryout orders. We were really disappointed tonight. The girl cutting the meat was yelling at us like we were deaf, and could not get the order right even though she repeated it back to us multiple times. The brisket was nothing but fat and the portions are considerably less than they were a year ago. They are working so fast that they screwed up our orders and we had to go back three times for missing items. What the hell happened to this place? 1 star The location is between Benito's pizza and a cleaner. Everyone hears you enter or leave the place because of the bells that ring, and hanged at the back of the glass doors. Dining area is spacious, clean, inviting, and decorated with wagon wheels, bull horns and old memorabilia. 1 star Fast food service with young and friendly crew, dressed in their uniforms, and will take your order. I probably met the manager dressed in a black chef uniform. He was friendly, goes around to check the dining area, and genuinely greets new and regular customers. It is self service so you have to line up, and wait for your turn to order at the counter. Ribs are sliced individually using a sharp knife. There is no plate, so the meats are placed on a coated brown paper, and in aluminum or silver tray. Side orders such as their Mac n cheese or mashed potato is scooped in a paper cup. Dining is casual. No tips required. But you may spare some change in a tip bottle. 1 star Ribs were hot and tasted salted, but you can enhance the taste by dipping it in any of their three kinds of barbecue sauces. I thought everything was bigger in Texas? CARRY OUT order was child-sized portions at premium prices. Three meat plate is four small slices of brisket. I called to ask if our order was correct and was told a portion was 3 ounces, so a three-meat plate ($24) was 9 oz (1/2 lb) of meat. This is a $12 dollar meal at other BBQ spots. Keep in mind brisket has a fatty sheath, so a notable portion of the weight is discarded fat. We did not get ribs, but are they counting bone when they weigh? I'm not a dog. Side of mac and cheese is about four forkfuls. Container is 3" diameter (one finger long) by 3/4" depth (not even first-knuckle deep). Quality wise, it is nothing special. Lunch lady mac and cheese, no topping or broiled top. No special cheeses. Soggy noodles. Cornbread muffin didn't top over the paper. Fell apart and had to eat it out of the paper. Lost the bottom half to crumbs. Protip: Let your muffins cool before sending them out. Never eating there again. You only get to fool me once. read more

The food here was pretty tasty - wish it was served warmer though (it was barely warm when we got it). The price isn't bad for the portion size and the sides were pretty tasty as well. The rolls you get with the meals are amazing! Plus the free ice cream at the end -- you can never go wrong with free ice cream! :) There was a line when we got there and we thought it would take forever to order our food, but it was a pretty quick process and we were sat down and eating within 10 minutes of getting there. It wasn't too bad. They have sweet and unsweet tea here and it tasted good! Very good flavor. I was having a last minute surprise birthday party for my husband and called to see if they would cater 4 hours before guests were going to show up. Joe helped me figure out how much food I needed and because I'd just moved and hosted Thanksgiving 2 nights before, I didn't plan this party well so I needed the food delivered. But I was out of delivery range and couldn't come pick it up. The owner was KIND enough and thankfully not too busy, to deliver the food himself. He saved the day! Its worth checking out. they have a good selection of BBQ meats, from brisket to pull pork and turkey and chicken options. I think the smoked turkey is the best of the bunch - good flavor and not dry. So basically you go up to the counter and order your meat and sides, you can go sandwich or just the meat or meats - look for the special sandwich of the day its really the best value as a combo meal. Then pick your sides, a normal combo has two sides - beans are good and the waffle fries. Pay the man, and get you drink and cutlery. There is also three BBQ sauces, by the drink, Original, Sweet and Hot. I like the sweet. Find your table and they will either bring your meal out or call you up at the cashier. Don't forget they also have free self server ice cream. This place is busy - typically 4-5 tables full with a new customer every 2-3 minutes. In and out in 30 minutes. read more
