I just visited this new place and they asked me to review it, so here goes! They are still new so it's hard to say what they will be like in a couple months, but I was happy with the food and QUICK service. They asked me like a million times what my order was, and I was only one person. I can't imagine if someone ordered multiple plates of food. They would have been confused. You should be able to order and pay at the register instead of having to tell everyone in the whole restaurant my order several times. But they claimed that they had a long day and were only open for five days. Having worked at multiple restaurants, I would have never said that to paying customers. I'm still paying the same amount of money as the first customer of the day, so the quality of your service to me should reflect that. The meats and sides were very plentiful and tasty. My husband and I tried the pulled pork (the best in our opinion), chicken, ribs, and brisket. The green beans were kinda salty, however, the potato salad was delicious! I also thought the potato casserole tasted like it sat out for a long time and then was reheated in the microwave. Baked beans were okay. They have a ice cream cone machine. Another customer said it was free, so I tried a cone. It was soooooo good! I will definitely return to try more types of food! We will see what happens next time! read more

The subpar service started before we even arrived. We called the phone as the google directions took us to Walmart. The associate on the phone was extremely short and dismissive. When we arrived there was no clear location to place the order. We attempted to place the order at the register and was told that we had to place the order at the other end. Then when I mis-understood the associate, I said I wanted a salad she gave me potato salad. I told her no I wanted the Caesar salad. She became argumentative like I had gave her wrong information. I had high hopes, but they quickly fell short. My first issue was i submitted a coupon code to receive a free sandwich. Had to submit my personal info. Never got the sandwich. Secondly I ordered the burnt ends brisket, which is one of my favorites at any bbq restaurant. The meat was NOT "burnt" and basically rare. Chewy, pink and fatty. My husband got sick and the amount of fat was unbelievable. I know this sounds like a lot but it was that disappointing and bad. Lastly, the kids chicken was awful and burned my mouth spice wise so my kids wouldn't take a second bite. However all the sides were delicious and we really enjoyed the fried onions! We got the XL pack delivered, for 4 people, and devoured almost all of it. The smaller size pack would have been enough food, but we enjoyed leftovers the next day. Everything we ate was delicious; I recommend the ribs, brisket, slaw, and baked beans (I don't usually eat beans, but was convinced to try them and they were yummy). Stopped in with my girlfriend to try the 2 for $25 special. We had plates that consisted of ribs, brisket and chicken. All were very good. The sides were mac n cheese, creamy spinach , and baked beans which were all very tasty. Our fourth side, waffle fries, were just ok. The three various BBQ sauces were all excellent. Bonus: They provide a FREE soft vanilla ice cream machine and eatable cones for your pleasure. Service: Self-service. Pick-up at the counter. Dickeys is a franchise company out of Texas. This is a good thing in this case since New Jersey isn't known for having great barbeque. We visited and were pleased with the food. The brisket and ribs were tasty, the sides were good and the iced tea had just the right amount of sweetness. I would have preferred 2 slices of white bread instead of the tiny roll, and dill pickle chips and diced onion should be automatically added to any plate. But those are minor issues. We enjoyed our meal and the 'BBQ joint' atmosphere and we will be coming back. read more

We were here the first week it opened and we could see they needed to iron out a few kinks. The ice machine wasn't working and no one was refilling the bbq sauces or other condiments. But the service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. There were 4 of us 3 of us ordered the ribs and one had the pulled pork. We shared the sides which included the potato casserole, bbq beans, green beans creamed spinach and waffle fries. All of us enjoyed our food and took some home with us since the portions were large. The guys helped themselves to a free soft serve ice cream. 2 of us returned for lunch about a week later and we're happy to see that they had worked out the kinks. Ice machine was working and condiments were full. We decided to order a family pack take out on Saturday. Online ordering went smoothly and our order was ready when I arrived. Nice option to have. Liberty Location on Hyway 291. Dickey's has gotten so hung up on the Online ordering app they have forgotten what customer service is. In this store the last two times we have been met with rude service, refusal to offer discounts that only the online app provides and poor to average food at well over priced charges. A month ago we went in to pick up a couple meals but because we had trouble with the online order we were unable to get the offered 20% discount. Considering for two sandwich combos being about $30 with tax it didn't seem that unreasonable to also provide the discount in store. Instead the person at the register was very short and basically said NO we can't do that. WE WALKED OUT. THIS FATHERS DAY WEEKEND, FRIDAY THEY WERE OFFERING A $15 DISCOUNT ON $80 PURCHASE. My son wanted to go there for Fathers day meal. 7 of us in all . Instead of taking the time to set down and all of us try to order on the app we asked for the Fathers day discount at the cashiers. NO was the answer, I asked for a senior discount and because it was my son buying for me and his mother the employee rude stated only for the purson buying and just ignored it. HAD IT BEEN ME I WOULD HAVE AGAIN JUST LEFT BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO CAUSE AGGRIVATION FOR THE FAMILY. When we use to go and deal with one of the owner/managers, they seemed to know what customer service was and appreciated business. Now they hire any employees they can get that don't seem to care if customers come in or come back at all. This one will not. So this was my third visit to this location. I placed my order online to pick up at 4:45PM. I ordered a three meat plate combo and paid for it online. Doubled the ribs and also got brisket. Upon arriving my order was not prepared, they were waiting to tell me that I cannot double on the ribs. Reason: they are too expensive. I lived in Texas and this place definitely doesn't stand close to the customer service I expected.
