This is my first bad review on this app and I had to say this was actually terrible. I ordered my wings plain and they came drenched in this barbecue rear-end sauce. The daily meals were advertised as appetizing and delicious and it arrived looking sick and malnourished. Never again. Ordered the half slab of ribs and a baked potato through the Dickey's app. Get to the location to pick up the order and was told they were out of potatoes. Ok! I'll just take the ribs and you can refund my card back for the potato. I was told they could not refund me for just the potato, they would have to refund me for the entire order. Ohhh and no one at the location would be able to do this...they would have to send a picture of my order to the manager in order to receive my credit. I spent over $30 and needless to say I didn't receive any food and I still need to wait for the manager to issue my credit. The gentleman felt the need to tell me that they have nothing to do with Dickey's online app and when he was a general manager at McDonald's, they did things the same way! I really could care less about the way things were handled at your old job...I'm concerned about what I spent at Dickey's and still have no credit or food! I will not be returning and will make sure everyone I know hears about the experience! I asked the gentleman for his name and corporate info and he felt the need to tell me he didn't care that I would report him. Yeah...I'm sure you don't! Had lunch today at this Dickey's. Very unfortunate to see that John was the only employee working the entire store. We felt sorry for his situation, with no help at the register or tables. I was impressed with his professionalism and effort. I know you lost some business because people left when they learned how understaffed the place was. I am really hesitant to go to any food chains because I always think I am not going to receive the most authentic experience. I still thought to give this place a try. Upon entrance, I was greeted and able to place my order quickly. Lots of amazing choices but I ended up getting a walking taco with chili brisket, onion tanglers, and a blondie brownie. My food was hot and fresh and filled with chili. The onion tanglers were crispy and tasty but I wanted the bag to be filled up more with them. I felt like I took two bites and it was gone. The brownie was dense and decadent. I will definitely frequent this place for more barbecue!!! read more

The potato could have very well been with nothing in it. Just pitiful. Wondering why sales are declining? Or why at 12:00 you only had two people in line and two dining. This is why. Dickey's isn't bad for chain BBQ. It wouldn't be my first choice but in a pinch when the smoked meat craving hits, it'll do. I like order brisket and pulled pork here, both are pretty decent. I recently tried the jalapeno cheddar sausage based on a friend's recommendation, but I found it to be a little dry...hopefully this was just a off day because the flavor was great and my friend absolutely raves about this sausage. They offer different specials all throughout the week and the day I went it was a two meat, two side plate with a drink for under $10. Not a bad deal! I chose the potato casserole, salad, pulled pork and jalapeno cheddar sausage. It also comes with a roll that is not to my liking...it's too dense? Hard? Yeasty? I don't know. It's just not that great. They also have their own BBQ sauce, pickle and onion bar. Their spicy sauce is delicious and really packs a punch! Try it but if spicy isn't your thing proceed with caution. They also have sweet tea and lemonade. Will I return? Yes. Dickey's deserves a try even for true BBQ aficionados! read more

Servers are slow, rude, and disrespectful. Price for the quality and quantity of food you receive are very high. Tables are often dirty and unkept. Dickey's corporate office is dismissive and unconcerned. Lot's of better places in Lafayette LA to get superior service, much better BBQ, and higher quantity for the price (Example: Blanchard's on Pinhook, Dwights on Johnson). Horrible horrible, my husband after working all day umpiring wanted a healthy meal. So he ordered the 2 for 24. Compared to the picture that's was not what we received. this is what we received: two little pieces of strips of chicken, a triangle slab of what I think was Turkey, a side of bean and Mac and cheese. The other plate was two slices of small sausage and two slices of what I think was burnt brisket and that one had pork n beans and we ordered fried okra but did not receive. Customer service was great! They were funny and very informative. My husband and I have been here several times in the past month. We are doing a low carb diet and Dickey's is a great place to get some delicious BBQ Smoked meats without all the sugary sauces. They are all very flavorful and delicious!!! My favorite is the smoked turkey breast. Try it with the sweet BBQ sauce and pickles! They have nice little salad each to go with it. They have a variety of sides and sandwiches. Traveling through Lafayette and had a hankering for BBQ. Decided to look for local and besides the one highly rated place that closed at 3pm, there really wasn't anything close to the hotel. Settled on Dickey's. Placed a DoorDash order and got a briscuit beef sandwich and the 3 meat plate. We decided against ordering sauce on the side as we figured when we ordered and it asked us what sauce we wanted, that it came with the original sauce we ordered. Wrong! All the reviews that say, "meat was dry" is an understatement! The meat was so dry, pulled pork was horrible. The beef was so dry but the seasoning was good. I ordered the chili Mac side and it was so very salty you couldn't eat it. The fries were soggy. It was the worst meal! Paid $30 and in return, could t eat and got dry meat. Do not order food from there! It truly was the worst dinner ever! I attempted to call them and they said that since I ordered DoorDash there was nothing that they could do!? read more

Absolutely the worst BBQ I've eaten and I have ate a lot over the years. The ribs were tough and full of fat. Obviously poor quality of meat. My wife got the pulled pork which was cold. The staff here is totally incompetent. I can't review the food because it may all be due to staff error. The food is not made to order, it's barbecue done in batches and the staff fill the plates as per the order... and they fail at this at a miserably slow pace. I ordered online and the website estimated that the food would be ready in about 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, I checked the website which told me that my order was fully processed, filled, and ready to pick up. I arrived and parked in a curbside to-go spot and waited - and waited. When it became clear that no one was paying attention to curbside, I called the restaurant. The person that answered seemed shocked that anyone would actually call the restaurant. After about 5 minutes, I was told that my food was not ready yet. Click. So, I went inside and stood in line with about 15 people, all of which were upset at the amount of time they had been waiting. When a WAITR delivery guy in line told me that he had been waiting inside the restaurant for 2 hours, I nearly walked out... but I had a $50 order. The person handing out the orders was constantly giving them to the wrong people and there was always something missing in the bag. The bbq sauce was not accessible to customers and, if you didn't ask for any, you were not getting any. They did not offer. I also didn't know that they didn't put any in the bag. I thought people were asking for extra sauces, so I was obviously very disappointed when I got home. The portions were paltry. The brisket was a single slice and like 80% fat. I didn't get the beans that I ordered. The $50 ticket I ordered ended up being, what I would value as maybe $15 of food. I don't know if that's this restaurant's normal serving size or if the staff is just incompetent. It's amazing how they can operate so slowly yet barely even put any food in the box. The expo counter was hideously greasy and just a big dirty mess. I ordered my food around 11:30 and got to eat it at 1:30. I live 5 minutes away. But, I'm the lucky one. The WAITR driver said his poor customers would have been waiting nearly 4 hours by the time he would deliver their food. I was told by a previous customer that going during the day is a terrible mistake and the night crew is better. I don't know. The only reason this restaurant gets two stars rather than one is that the fried okra and brisket was really good. On the downside. I ordered online, arrived 15 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready to be told that it would be another 30 minutes before my food was ready. I was told that the chicken was still cooking because their shipment for the day arrived late. They could've called.... also, I had to go inside, wait in line to speak with someone, all three of the employees had their mask below their nose, and despite the fact it was paid for online with tip included, I was required to sign and was not too excited to touch the pen. I'm leaving only 2 stars based on my last 2 visits. The ribs I've gotten both times were terribly dry. I hold the opinion that any place that sells food to the public should be able to justify the cost of their product. At Dickey's price point, they fail here. It appears, from recent reviews here on yelp, that the quality here locally has slipped. The last order was done through door dash and was problematic. After one hour, I called my door dash driver to find out that she was at the restaurant and then was informed that they were out of chicken. Good thing I called I guess. 40 minutes later we finally got our meals which were sub par. It's kind of a shame because Lafayette is not terribly strong in this area of cuisine (BBQ joints) and quality ribs should never be hit or miss. read more
