11 oz. Sirloin with House Steak sauce. Very good, but I still prefer Texas Roadhouse.

We had the opportunity to grab lunch here today. I had the ribeye and my wife had the filet. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. Well seasoned. Our sides were solid.. side salad with ranch and loaded sweet potato. Nothing special, just good solid food. We had the onion petal appetizer which was tasty. The bread and butter were a hit. Service was excellent and atmosphere comfortable. Nice job!

I ordered a salmon Cesar salad. I asked that the salmon be seasoned with their 7 pepper seasoning, it was not. While the salmon was prepared well, it had very little seasoning. The lettuce was very brown. When I asked for additional salad dressing, it had a very bad taste. I gave up. The server did bring me new lettuce. She stated they didn't have any romaine prepped, which led me to believe they knew they sent bad lettuce out initially.

    Receipts

Received a gift card for Christmas. Went on Dec 31. After meal, attendant brought receipt with a 41.48 balance. Left a cash gratuity. Returned on March 14. After meal, presented card to attendant only to be told card had zero balance. Returned home and went on line to track card activity only to find card was totally redeemed on Dec 31. Apparently the attendant on Dec 31 helped himself to a 41.48 tip. Phoned manager once this was discovered. Was told by person who answered phone that manager was on another line but would return my call. Left information. Manager did not retun call.

Horrible they messed up a good Father's Day. I will never return the only reason I returned because I was giving $50 off the next order for their first screw up now it's worse.

I asked if they'd be able to open them and the reason given was they closed them due to customers complaining about the heat. It was around 7:30, the sun was setting, I then let my waitress know that I was cold and I sat on the patio to not be cold. She said she'd ask but they most likely would not do it. This problem is not that deep but I am anemic & I don't think its fair to us who sit outside for the sun and warmth to have to be cold due to the people who can just sit inside if they're too hot‍

He recommended several local brews and food options, and somehow we ended up having one of those conversations that makes you feel like you've known someone longer than five minutes. We talked about traveling, different beers, Louisiana, Ohio, Atlanta, and everything in between. My favorite part of the conversation had to be hearing about the brewery owned by three Japanese women who live in Brazil. That's a story I definitely wasn't expecting when I sat down for a drink! As for the food, it was incredible. I had the seafood gumbo, which came loaded with a crab cluster and crawfish tails, and I also tried the blackened alligator. Both were amazing and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great, the beer selection was excellent, and the service made the whole experience even better. I genuinely can't wait to go back to The Chime! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. 6/5 from me!

The pork chop was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, incredibly tender, and honestly tender enough to cut with a fork. It had a great char from the grill that added so much flavor, and the pickled peppers on top cut through the richness of the pork perfectly. The dirty rice underneath reminded me of my mom's rice dressing and soaked up all the juices from the chop. It was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had. My wife ordered the smoke fried chicken, and it was also excellent. The crust was crispy while the chicken stayed juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato biscuits were light and delicious, and the pepper honey tied everything together nicely. For my taste, it leaned just a little on the sweet side, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. My daughter ordered the Social Cheeseburger with just meat and cheese. She loved it, and I was impressed too. Even with such a simple order, the burger was juicy, well seasoned, and served on a fantastic bun. She and my wife both could not stop talking about the hand cut fries. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and some of the best fries we've had in a while. From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. We left very impressed and will definitely make a point to stop here whenever we are in the Lafayette area.

More specifically their flatbreads and loaded fries, which I do not currently see on their website. Most of the time they have loaded fries which in the past have consisted of gravies and sauces. One preparation we ordered came with pickled okra. The fried green tomatoes are also very good, especially to start with or share. As far as main dishes go we have tried the following: All Hail Caesar (Flatbread) Spicy Chicken Sandwich Smoke Fried Chicken-N-Biscuits Social Cheeseburger The Mac n Cheese is a must get as a side in my opinion. One of the first times we visited they had carrot cake as a dessert, we still talk about that carrot cake today. If you are a sweet tea lover this place has a twist which I love. Their sweet contains brown sugar and mint, get it, try it, it's delicious.

Responding to Chelsa K.'s 1* review. As I am someone who was in the restaurant when it happened…read more I just think it's funny how you aren't mentioning y'all came in as 6 people and then wanted accommodations for 30 people during one of the busiest times of the night. Or that they argued with the amazing manager for nearly an hour total after being told they couldn't accommodate that size party. They're also leaving out the part where people from their group marched in and seated themselves, stood over occupied tables waiting for guests to leave, insisting the hosts clean the tables, and made the entire restaurant uncomfortable. This had nothing to do with race and everything to do with behavior. Any group acting like that would've gotten the exact same response. In short, do better. Y'all came in and ruined everyone's dinner because y'all don't know how to plan ahead. Stop blaming people for your mistakes and take accountability.

This may have been part of the reason its wasn't all that busy on a Tuesday lunch. Similar to some other restaurants in Louisiana I've visited, they have a side with a bar, to-go area and high tops, and a more family oriented side of the restaurant with a bunch of low top tables. Fried pork rinds are served with every table. They have daily plate lunches and the one day I came it was chicken fried steak. However, it's not usually a good idea to order CFS outside of Texas in my experience. Therefore, I ended up ordering the catfish and shrimp platter, served grilled instead and added a $5 strawberry margarita. The entree comes with a side salad but they only have seelct dressings and none which I would typically order, so i just settled on honey mustard. Margarita- for only $5 it's not bad and comes with either sugar or salt rim Catfish and shrimp platter - seasoned with a blackened seasoning but it wasn't spicy. The catfish filet was small and tasted like it was previously frozen. The shrimp were also small and didn't taste much better. Not sure I'd return if ever in Lafayette, as I was really looking for a more festive environment and more grilled options.
