I got the loaded baked potato and I subbed my salad for French fries at no extra charge which was nice. The steaks were cooked exactly to our preference. We weren't expecting much but we were absolutely blown away by the tasty and flavorful options offered at Longhorn. The crispy onion petals were crispy, thick and well-seasoned while the chicken wrap appetizers were stuffed with cheese and fresh ingredients. The lemon pepper chicken was also extremely tender, buttery and soaked in lemon sauce. It was really tasty and undoubtedly an entree that I would order again. For my sides, I chose the crispy brussel sprouts and southwest mac-and-cheese. The sprouts weren't super crispy, but they were covered in the most decadent sweet marinade. I also really enjoyed the macaroni dish, with its three-cheese sauce and parmesean-crusted exterior. My husband ordered the steak and the Ceasar salad and while the salad was decent enough, the steak was not cooked medium rare (as he had requested) and was therefore not as tender as it could have been. That said, the beef was still juicy and well-seasoned. Our waiter was charming but he was hard to find during some parts of the night. That said, he did a really good job at making sure our glasses were filled and that the ambiance was pleasant. 9/10 we have a new favorite! read more

For starters I've been eating at this location 2/3 times a week for the last year. Sometimes more sometimes less. I order the same thing which is the burger cooked medium, and every time I am met with a well done patty. I get rice as a side and have yet to experience rice that isn't dry. Last week I decided to try something new. I got one of their steaks, again requested a medium steak. To no surprise it was well done. The service is great, the food comes out in a timely manner, and most of the other menu items are amazing. Im particularly fond of their spicy chicken bites. How disappointing. We chose Longhorn Steakhouse for our son's Birthday dinner because in the past it was great. Not this time. It was freezing cold in there and they said they couldn't control the temperature. The quality of all of our steaks was not nearly as flavorful as it used to be. We didn't even finish eating our steaks as it just wasn't worth it. Our food got cold quickly due to the temperature in the restaurant. My friend and I went on a Saturday night ,which we knew would be busy, however, the service and food just wasn't good. When we walked in no one was at the hostess/host stand and an employee (a manager we think whom we walked by outside on a smoke break) came in behind us and didn't ask us anything. She just looked at us, then my friend said for 2 people, she then walked off without saying anything and somewhat irritated. Then someone else finished getting our information for a waitlist. We were sat in the very back of the restaurant where it seemed like no one could see us. I dont even think our server knew she had us at our table. She got our drinks and appetizers and those came out timely, as well as her taking our entree order. The entree took long to come out and no one checked in on us. When the entrees came out my food was cold as if it had been sitting out for a minute. We packed our food in to go boxes and left from this unwelcoming experience. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I placed an online order today, September 16th, 2025, at Longhorn Steakhouse. The staff there is totally incompetent even the manager on duty, Carlos. We gave a 20% tip on this to go order and I'd love to have it back! They NEVER brought the food out to the car. When we went in to pick it up - NO ONE would help us...and the bag was on top of the bar and a waitress looked at it and went along her business and came back a few minutes later and handed it to us. We waited 30 minutes for this food and of course, needless to say, it was COLD when we got home. The lack of care and customer service was unbelievable. I called the corporate office and of course there is no answer only an automated system, that says you can leave your concerns and they will contact you within 4 days! It starts at the top and trickles down, they could care less! We will NEVER order from this restaurant or frequent this place EVER again. There are people here in Lafayette that will appreciate our business and our money! On every level they failed today! Do not recommend this place at all! I ordered a salmon Cesar salad. I asked that the salmon be seasoned with their 7 pepper seasoning, it was not. While the salmon was prepared well, it had very little seasoning. The lettuce was very brown. When I asked for additional salad dressing, it had a very bad taste. I gave up. The server did bring me new lettuce. Received a gift card for Christmas. Went on Dec 31. After meal, attendant brought receipt with a 41.48 balance. Left a cash gratuity. Returned on March 14. After meal, presented card to attendant only to be told card had zero balance. Returned home and went on line to track card activity only to find card was totally redeemed on Dec 31. Apparently the attendant on Dec 31 helped himself to a 41.48 tip. Phoned manager once this was discovered. Ended up here for someone's birthday celebration. Definitely not my choice. This is a place for people who eat steak. I don't eat beef or pork so I ended up getting chicken. I ordered the chicken tenders and salad with steamed broccoli. No pics because it took so long for the food to arrive that taking a pic was the last thing I wanted to do. I like everyone else was starving when the food arrived 45+ minutes later. The chicken tenders were tender but either to salty or just bland Plus they forgot the dipping sauce and salad that was suppose to come with the meal. So there are lots of chain steak places in the area but LongHorn is BAE! It's so damn affordable while being upscale. That, in itself, will keep me coming back-but the food...Oh the food!! The caesar salad is a meal all by itself. It's large and tossed well but my favorite thing about it is the parmesan cheese. It's not your everyday shredded variety-it's thinly sliced. I have legit been craving this salad since! I also had the Flo's filet-medium rare perfection-and I believe the cauliflower au gratin is new on the menu and it paired nicely with my steak. If you're on the fence about cauliflower at all you should try this! It's sooo good! I love this place and will be back for sure! read more

When we walked in tonight the hostess did not say hello or welcome just that there would be a 45 minute wait. There were some open tables in sight- we were a party of 3. We waited for 30 minutes before we were seated and several people were seated before us that came in after us. I checked the website and I said that they didn't take reservations. It took 5 minutes before our waitress asked for our drinks. My husband wanted the dragon fruit Margherita but the waitress said they didn't have that. My husband was trying to decide what drink he wanted and looked up and our waitress was gone. She just left with no warning or saying she'd be right back. We finally ordered after another 5 or so minutes. When our steaks came, they were both wrong, my husband's was medium (he ordered medium rare) and mine was medium rare, I ordered medium). She took mine back because I couldn't eat medium rare and since he was so hungry, he just ate the medium. The reason for the low rating was the service. It was our anniversary dinner and we will not be returning. 2 hours spent where we could have gotten way better service. This is one of those reviews where I wish I took pictures. Ordered a rare steak and what I got was cooked all the way through. Took several minutes to flag down anyone from the wait staff for them to get our waitress to stop her conversation long enough to bring it back. (Where we were seated we could see her talking in the back.) While waiting for my steak to be recooked, I went to the restroom and was amazed on how unclean it was. They open at 11 am and this was around 11:30 so it was not like it seen many customers that day. The floor was so slippery that I almost fell twice. To clarify the floor was not wet but felt as if it was coated with grease. The stalls were covered in graffiti and had the unkempt appearance that would be expected for gas station not a steak house. When I return to the table I notified the waitress of the restroom when she had brought my second steak out. She said someone would get to it, but we didn't see anyone go towards the restroom for the remainder of our visit. The second steak was cooked correctly, but had so much salt and pepper on it you could not taste the meat. I had to scrape the majority of the seasoning off to make it edible. Tried to come to eat for Father's day, as he wanted a steak badly from Longhorn... we walk in and nobody is there to greet us as servers are looking us dead in the face and walking by. it was about 920pm, we already knew what we wanted, and after a while of waiting someone approaches us and instantly tells us we could not be accommodated tonight. So, I then ask if the kitchen is closed or if the restaurant is closing and he says "No, we cannot accommodate you tonight." I just wanted to know why we could not eat if the restaurant wasn't closing, the kitchen wasn't closing, and it wasn't busy. We will not be coming back. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Normally the 5th star is reserved for the hidden away and unique mom & pop surprise joints... but I just had to give it up for Longhorns. The atmosphere was lovely, the music just right, comfortable with very polite staff & reasonable prices. The food was spot on. The housemade blue cheese dressing was amazing; it turned a dinner salad into a perfectly prepared starter.... it came with warm fresh bread & whipped butter. Yum! The New York strip steak was served perfectly medium rare. The loaded baked potato was spot on perfect. The crusty crunchy bits on the mac & cheese were delicious. I really enjoyed the lobster & shrimp chowder. The welcome staff were efficient & polite. Our server Gavin was terrific. A polite young man with a sharp memory for detail. As I say....
