Very disappointed , we've been to the one in Palmdale which was pretty delicious so we tried the one in Lancaster and we are not going back whatsoever, I feel like it was a waste of money for how pricey their food is. Placed a large order on 6/8/2023 for an event on 6/15/2023. Mark took the order on 6/8/2022 and he stated that we would have the 86 plates individually plated and the Greens would be placed in individual cups for each order. Our order consisted of brisket, chicken breast, greens mac and cheese, and beans. On the day of our event, we were called at 7am to let us know that the Greens burned over night because they left them on all night. (SMH) We go to pick up the order and now we are told that it is an extra charge to have each meal individually plated. Of course, the person that took the order was not there so the people that were there just stated they could not prepare the way we were expecting it because it is an extra charge. No one in the restaurant cared that our order messed up our order. Once we took the food back to our job to hurry up and prepare for our event, we found that we were shorted a couple of trays of chicken and had burnt mac and cheese. I called the restaurant back to let them know that our order was shorted an as I was explaining the issues, they hung up on me. For the money we paid for this food and not to have what was agreed on and the nastiest customer service; I will never eat at this establishment, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Wife and I have been here a couple times and so far we are diggin' the bbq. We have tried a few different meats and everything has been tasty and flavorful. The ordering process is a little different. You actually tell the person chopping/preparing the meat what you want, and then you move on to the area of the sides. After adding your selected sides to your order you move on to the register to order a drink and pay for your meal. They have a good variety on the menu, ranging from a large selection of meats and sides. Decent pricing on the items, and they have several different combos to order depending on what you want and how much of it. So far I have tried the pork ribs, beef brisket, hot links, and chedder/jalapeño sausage link. The ribs and brisket were very soft and tender, and I love how the meat just falls off the bone. The hot links were tasty and not too overpowering with the hotness. The chedder/jalapeño link had a nice kick to them. The wife really digs the hot links. The sides were a nice compliment to the meal. I tried the beans and fries, and the wife really likes the green beans. They have free soft serve ice cream for dessert, which is a nice bonus, especially for the kids. All of the employees and workers were friendly. In particular during our first visit, the girl chopping the meat and taking orders was very helpful. She helped my wife chose a dish and she took pride in her work and was very good at what she was doing. Only came across a few negatives so far, but overall we have had a pleasant visit every time. The floor in the dining area seemed to be greasy. Not sure if they need to do a good mop job or what, but it felt like there was a film covering the floor which had a slightly slippery feel to it. The lighting seemed a bit on the dark side. Not Darth Vader like dark side, but just a little dim in the seating area. Worst Customer service ever from the Owner, Liza, no less. So my company didn't over $2200.00 on lunch for the staff. Well not only was the food late, the forgot the dinner rolls. So I call to ask about the receipt and the refund for the rolls. Liza starts telling wouldn't let me get a word out, telling me how she packed the order Conrad (their driver) delivered the rolls. When I tell hey we have cameras here I can send footage of no rolls, will she got even more rude and hung up in me. I call back to request to speak to the owners or get their names or the manager, she told me no. She became condescending and told me since she knows I'm not in charge have my manager call get back. Ok so this place is so disgusting! As soon as I walked in I noticed how dirty and filthy it was. The ice cream cones where all crumbled and the bbq sauce was a mess, the fountain drink area was a mess with ice everywhere and the water didn't even work. There was food on the floor so basically they don't sweep or clean up after people eat. I mean come on at least make the place look nice and clean, people want to enjoy their food and not have to wonder what goes on in the back when they are prepping the food. I will never come back to this Dickies location. It's sad to see how lazy people are and how they present the business. Hello everyone... I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was a pretty bad visit. There weren't even that many people here but we still had to wait quite a while to even get our order taken. And during our order the staff were constantly talking to one another interrupting us which was a bit annoying. And for some reason they kept whispering to us which was really weird. And sadly this isn't even the worst part. So as my fiancee and I are ordering our sides they tell me they are out of baked potato casserole. So I order onion tanglers and they tell me they are out! Okay seriously? So they show us some onion rings instead which we took and some mac and cheese which was lukewarm. I understand that they told us tree was some kind of US Food strike which is where they get their food. However I shouldn't have to go through the entire line before reading that sign! It should be posted in the front door and also be the first thing you see once you come inside! We also got a order of chili cheese fries and they were out of... you guessed it Chili! So they gave us a tiny portion of fries which was ridiculous! It's like 8 or 9 dollars for only a 2 dollar portion of fries. By the time we got our food the sandwich and mac and cheese are now pretty much cold but we felt that nothing was going to be done about it anyway. I have been to the Dickeys in a palmdale and I'm not sure if they would have been better but my previous visits there have always been good. This is just not what I expected from this new location. I have had great 'que all over the state and so far the # 1 choice for me is The Smokin' Pig in San Jose. Well I can save the travel money because the best in So Cal goes to Dickey's In Lancaster. Stopped in there tonight for dinner and wife and I both got the Rib plate. Not fall off the bone which to me is terrible but so tender and juicy it is begging to be gently coaxed off the bone. The smoke is obvious in the meat without overpowering, my wife hates it when there's too much smoke, and the bark is done quite well. Got the BBQ beans and slaw for sides and both were very good. Wife got the Green beans and bacon which was flavored well but a bit watery along with the cesaer salad. The hot line is efficient but sometimes needs to pay more attention to the customers. We mentioned a couple of times that our order was to eat in but they packed it to go. No big deal as at least we had our doggie package at the start but not what we ordered to start with. My only complaint which I feel (hope) will be worked out is the Coordination of customer service and supplies. The drink bar ran out of forks early and had to be refilled. Ice tea ran out which was no big deal but otherwise it was good for a start up week. I hope they make it through the tough times ahead and emerge through the other side ready to be in Lancaster for a long time. This has to be the worst customer service establishment, the staff here is as slow as the molasses that makes bbq sauce.... I inquire about a particular plate and was told no they won't do it...
