Brisket sandwich combo with two sides, drink and a cookie-about $12 with tax.
    Barnes R.

Pretty decent if you're looking for a Texas barbecue fix. The brisket is good with decent smokiness, but a little fatty. The chicken is really good too, but can sell out by dinner time occasionally. It tends to be a little spendy-two adult meals and a kids meal will set you back about $30 unless you go on a Sunday, when each kid eats free for every paid adult meal. Overall decent choice for a quick, hearty lunch or dinner. Plus, free ice cream!

    Yummy lunch!

We enjoy this Dickey's location for delicious BBQ during lunch or dinner! The pork is sustainably raised with no nitrates and no nitrates added. No artificial colors or flavors and no added hormones. The chicken is humanely raised and cage-free. I really enjoy the barbecue beans, mac and cheese, cream spinach, baked potato casserole, and potato salad for my side dishes. Of course not all at the same time. This location offers free Wi-Fi as well as free ice cream for kids and adults alike! Their iced tea is really good. Kids eat free every Sunday! This location offers a deal of the day where you can get a really great deal and includes a drink.

They also have daily specials everyday!

It's pretty good BBQ but it's quite expensive for what it is. You can definitely find better for less.

My photo isn't particularly pretty, but you can see I got 2 bites of everything I could fit in my first buffet trip so I could decide what dishes I wanted to enjoy more. (Which I did!!) Arrived and surprise, they are gone and now this place has sprung up. We decided to give it a try, upon entering the smell was delightful and the fella that greeted us was bland. Opted for the lunch buffet as a way to get introduced to many of the dishes here. Food was dull and cold, very sparse and almost like we were 10 minutes from the end of the day. It was noon. Tea was sweet and served in copper looking glasses nice and cool, would have enjoyed refills. Dude working front was only person we saw and may have been there alone, didn't see any real activity from kitchen area. We were the only seated customers. Several folks came in and got take out orders ordered ahead and one guy got 2 buffets to go, never saw any more (fresh) food make its way to the buffet while we were there, odd. For the price and quality I may try the menu but the buffet is a no from here on out. May just be me but this felt like we were allowed to dig through leftovers but charged a premium price.

I was gifted a gift card for Christmas so I decided to test the waters. I knew I wanted breakfast food even though I was using it for dinner. When I looked at the menu the one thing that caught my eye was the Strawberry Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes. The menu picture was beautiful. I also got scrambled eggs and bacon. It was a takeout order and it didn't take long for the order to get ready. I arrived at the restaurant and it was raining a little. Luckily I did curbside pickup. It had stopped raining once the person came out with my order. When I got home I was very ready to eat. I can't remember what I tried first. That really doesn't matter. One thing I do remember was the minute I took my first bite of the pancakes. It was divine. That is not an overstatement. The cheesecake filling combined with the strawberries and pancakes was so delicious. They were some of the best pancakes I have had in my entire life. The bacon and eggs were good too but the main character was definitely the pancakes. I really enjoyed the meal.

The waitress brings the hash browns and takes the grits back. Then I noticed there was no sausage. My sister asked her to bring the sausage. This is the most appalling customer service I've ever had at a restaurant, now everybody we know will know about this, and you have lost a customer.

Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

I had the seafood basket with a side, Caesar salad. I think the menu had it listed as six shrimp and two catfish fillets. Mine came with two fillets and four shrimp, the shrimp were quite small like 36-50 size, and very chewy. The fish was greasy but fairly moist, with decent crunch. To clarify the issue with the size of the shrimp, most restaurants in the area will serve 26-35 or larger with an entrée. The Caesar salad had great flavor and plenty of crunchy croutons and romaine stems, there was a few brown and wilted leaves mixed in so it was kind of off putting once I found those. The bread that came with the platter was lightly toasted but flavorless, took one bite, left the rest. Service was fairly lackluster, which is unusual given their high level of service at the downtown location. My side salad came out with my entrée at the same time, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but maybe I should've asked that it come out ahead of my hot food . I just usually assume that most restaurants do this so maybe that one's on me. Neither my fish or shrimp were very warm, almost like they were waiting on the salad? Also, it was kind of creepy that a lot of the servers and staff were just standing around leaning on the walls at the back of the dining room, just seemed off. I actually came in here, wanting to have their tuna sandwich, which I've had in the past at the other location and it was phenomenal. Sadly, it is no longer on the menu. We'll definitely come back here and give it another shot because i do like the menu options and atmosphere.

It seemed more on the tomato side and less "ketchupy" than some BBQ sauces. The chicken kind of puzzled us. It was two thighs covered in BBQ sauce and served within 2 slices of bread like a sandwich. The sides of mac and cheese, greens, and homemade potato salad were all pretty good. Service was a little clunky and in need of some experience. Despite that the staff was very friendly and appreciative of the business. Don't let the 3 ribs dinner deceive you, it's a hefty portion for lunch or dinner for 1. The potato salad and baked beans compliment it all. Wash it down with a nice sweet tea. Walter is one of the nicest guys, and if you happen to come in when it's just you in the place (good luck) he's worth having a conversation with your meal.
