Well a quick lunch with the Mrs a rare weekday treat as I was on that side of town. Swift phone call and we decided to meet at Banzi Japanese next to Wemos. Arrived and surprise, they are gone and now this place has sprung up. We decided to give it a try, upon entering the smell was delightful and the fella that greeted us was bland. Opted for the lunch buffet as a way to get introduced to many of the dishes here. Food was dull and cold, very sparse and almost like we were 10 minutes from the end of the day. It was noon. Tea was sweet and served in copper looking glasses nice and cool, would have enjoyed refills. Dude working front was only person we saw and may have been there alone, didn't see any real activity from kitchen area. We were the only seated customers. Several folks came in and got take out orders ordered ahead and one guy got 2 buffets to go, never saw any more (fresh) food make its way to the buffet while we were there, odd. For the price and quality I may try the menu but the buffet is a no from here on out. May just be me but this felt like we were allowed to dig through leftovers but charged a premium price. read more

So good! We actually arrived before they opened, but the server graciously offered for us to go ahead and sit while they stocked the buffet. The food was delicious and flavorful. My photo isn't particularly pretty, but you can see I got 2 bites of everything I could fit in my first buffet trip so I could decide what dishes I wanted to enjoy more. (Which I did!!) I called ahead, ordered two entrees of butter chicken, and two types of naan (garlic & cheese) to go, and was not disappointed. My order was accurate and delicious! The cheese naan was my favorite and complimented the butter chicken perfectly. When I picked up my order, I noticed that the buffet looked great (and clean) also. I'll start with the good. The flavor of the food was fantastic. The chicken tikka masala was some of the best I've ever had. The cauliflower was exceptional as was the curry chicken. Honestly this would be a 4 star review based on that alone, but unfortunately the buffet temperature was a miss. All of the food was luke warm at best, probably because it was so chilly in the dining and buffet area. The naan on the buffet was hard and had a cracker texture, more dried out than anything. Our server was actually wearing a winter coat the whole time. The service was lack luster at best, she only looked up from her phone when folks walked in or walked up to pay. My wife's drink order was wrong(and never got fixed), and I did not get asked or refilled my drink. For nearly $50 for two, we will not be back for the lunch buffet. I may give it another shot ordering off the menu or takeout, since the flavor and quality of the food was fantastic. If so, I will update. read more

Meh. The food was not enjoyable. I spent more time picking meat off bones. The rice was undercooked. The aroma when you walk in was the only positive I have to provide. Had to ask several times about getting a refill on water. Not a reasonable price in the food. For the cost I expected a lot more. I applaud them for a bold attempt at a new concept in Mobile, but they came up short on quality. Unless you are just dying to try something unique I suggest this as a pass. Food is amazing!!!!!!! Exactly what Mobile was missing. They have a full bar. The service can be slow and the foo even slower, but that wouldn't deter me from eating here. The restraurant is usually very warm on the inside. That would be my only complaint. read more

I had been meaning to try this place and when I finally got to try it I was so thrilled. The staff is from Nepal, and incredibly attentive. The VEG MOMO is a beautiful dish with hot dumplings and a chilled sauce. The flavors of these MOMO are difficult to describe with layers of spices that seem to tell a spicy story in my mouth. I definitely recommend this place! They also have traditional Indian dishes including goat from Mississippi. Hope to see you there! read more

Amazing! They have a delicious buffet. Its a small restaurant. The dishes off the menu are really great as well.

I went during the week for their buffet. I thought it was super tasty, and the staff were extremely attentive. They had the typical things that you would expect on an Indian buffet, but there were some differences in their flavors. I assume that this is because it is a Nepali restaurant rather than an Indian restaurant, so the differences were a nice change of pace compared to what we already have around here. The food was also served warm, unlike some buffets in Mobile. The inside of the restaurant was extremely nice and clean. In short, I would recommend checking this place out, and it is certainly a welcome addition to west Mobile. I know that I will be back, and I am excited to try their dinner menu sometime soon. read more

We experienced a really great meal on Sat Feb. 1st 2025. our Precious waitress, Kat, was so helpful to explain items on the menu. She had a delightful way of raising her eyebrows when we were talking about the things that she liked best . she explained the "heat scale" well enough that we had no surprises and offered and "low heat choice and she provided a side of hot sauce if we wanted more. I mentioned I was interested the momo items and she grinned and said she loved them. SHE WAS RIGHT! The chicken schezwan momos were AMAZING! Gobi Manchurian Appetizer was delish, The Goat Vindaloo was our spiciest dish but it only tingled our lips and didn't give so much heat as to ruin our meal. And the Palak Paneer (Cheesy green goodness) was yummy with our Garlic naan! As a refreshing ending we had a Mango Lassi which our son says was the BEST he has ever had and he has lived in Asia several years. A totally fabulous meal with perfect service! This is an update to a previous visit. We have dined here about four other times. Tonight will be our last, however. We ordered a bunch of items so we could have a great meal at home, too. My wife ordered palak paneer, medium spicy. It was pretty flavorless and had a level 1 spicy, if that. I had the chicken momo Seshauan (spelling?), medium spicy. It was definitely VERY spicy. So, I was glad we'd ordered the raita to cool the palate. Unfortunately, it was so thick, almost like thick gravy. And it was warm. Usually raita is served cold (and thinner). We also ordered vegetable pakora. It tasted like it had been cooked in old oil used for frying meat. It was disgusting. We also ordered the thin lentil wafers (like papadum at Indian restaurants). They were dripping of oil. Never had them like that before! O And don't get me started on the garlic naan! It was burned and had no garlic. What the?! But wait--there's more to this sad tale. The mint chutney was supr thick paste.; never had this dish served at this consistency. I'm wondering if they have a new cook, because this was so unlike or previous visits. Sad. read more

It's nice to find a new restaurant with very high quality food that looks good and tastes awesome. The young lady that waited on us was very sweet, attentive and helpful. I ordered the Chicken Schuetzen Momo which was excellent...it's a wee bit spicy but it is gooood! They also do a buffet, which we will try next time. read more

I got the butter chicken biryani. I have never seen that on any other menu, so I was interested. It was delicious! The chicken was well-seasoned and grilled. It gave it a great flavor and texture. There was also a lot of meat in the order. The rice was cooked perfectly and mixed well, so every bite had sauce. I ordered it mild, but it still had heat, so the raita that came with it was perfect! It was cooling and refreshing while giving my biryani a yogurt-y tang. I saw good reviews for other dishes, so I'll have to order again! read more

I have tried that Nepalian cousine - because i like MOMO. The momos had been served with a delicious - "based spicy" sauce - which was new for me, but really Delicous. Kat the waitress was very nice and pleased to assist. I will definately join again - 100% American fast food is nothing for Austrians all the time. And i liked the taste of Nepal/India... My wife and I both appreciate South Asian food. Having lived in Pakistan and traveled to both India and Nepal I can say this food is excellent and worth your money.
