    Vegetable VEG MOMO

I had been meaning to try this place and when I finally got to try it I was so thrilled. The staff is from Nepal, and incredibly attentive. The VEG MOMO is a beautiful dish with hot dumplings and a chilled sauce. The flavors of these MOMO are difficult to describe with layers of spices that seem to tell a spicy story in my mouth. I definitely recommend this place! They also have traditional Indian dishes including goat from Mississippi. Hope to see you there!

Best lunch in Mobile as of today ! Service was good. However one of our entrees served 5 minutes after everyone else. Definitely recommend this place. One star for the hush puppies…read more One star for our friendly server. Sadly, I can only give two stars to Wintzell's House in Mobile, Alabama. I should've listened to all of the advice from the locals on Reddit, who warned me that this place has fallen on harder times. The char grilled oysters were funky. I ate them but worried as I ate them. The hush puppies earned a star. They were pretty tasty. The were my favorite thing on the table. However, we asked for butter, and our server gave us packets of butter substitute. Doesn't this restaurant have real butter? The gumbo was fairly tasteless and also, they had chopped up whatever seafood was in there so finely that it all just turned into mush. If there was any seafood in there, I sure didn't taste it. The West Indies crab salad was a shocking disappointment. It was a scoop of crab meat, which they ruined by mixing it up with mayo. That's it. An ice cream scoop of canned crab meat mixed with heavy mayo. It's like they didn't even try. The bread pudding left very little impression. It was a little rectangular square. Our server misunderstood us when we said we wanted it topped with ice cream, and served the bread pudding alongside a bowl of five scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. It was a very odd dessert situation, but we worked our way through it. Our server was an amusing fella. He kinda/sorta made the evening. Overall, I'm glad I went so I could know for myself. However, I do wish that I had listened to the locals on Reddit.

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

I'm searching Yelp, and don't quite find a clear front runner. So, I change my search to "cocktail bar" and Butler's pops up. I didn't quite trust it as there are plenty of bars in the area between Ocean Springs and D'Iberville, but I wanted an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection for the hubs, no crap! I checked out the photos and zeroed in. Upon arrival, I was completely shocked to find out that it's inside a casino resort. I missed that in my search. It's hidden in plain sight! First and foremost, who knew there were sprawling casinos situated behind residential neighborhoods in Mississippi?! Wow! -- I digress. We committed and we went for it. I'm so glad we did! We were immediately greeted by Josh, bartender extraordinaire, and the rest is history. Remember that extensive bourbon and whiskey selection we were looking for? ... FOUND IT! Butler's literally has it all, and Josh is the perfect handler! He's knowledgeable about the different brands, aging processes, and truly proved himself to be an expert in the field. Aside from the bar, Josh suggested that we sign up for rewards (which we did) and try the food (which we did as well). Overall, he's a team player and made us feel at home. We initially planned to stop in for drink or two, and ended up playing a few slots, and staying for dinner. All in all, our introductory trip to Butler's definitely won us over, and we'll be back soon!

My advice, find a seat, have someone order at the order window, then head to the bar to order drinks. The wait to order food took about a half hour. It was very quick to get our drinks. We were able to snag a couch area on a platform. It was so comfy and we loved the views. A heads up- if you snag a couch like this, kids will get up on the platform and jump off of it. People will step up on the platform and walk extremely close to you. I had to ask a kid to stop throwing sand by us because we were eating our dinner. It was a little chaotic. We were extremely patient and understand, but I could see some people being very upset and annoyed. After ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I started with the coconut grouper bites and they were phenomenal. Light breading, lightly sweat, and flaky. I had the Gulf Grilled Cobia and it was phenomenal. The fish was tender, flaky, and light. No fishiness at all. The sauce on the fish was also delightful. My husband and son had the fajita skewers and both enjoyed them. My husband also had the peel and eat shrimp and said they were amazing at The Gulf. Our drinks were okay. We had better drinks at other places during the week, but they weren't bad. We would return, but try to come on an off-time that wasn't so busy.
