Both my wife and I ordered the two meat plate with pulled pork and sliced brisket to go. Stupid me, I expected the meats would be dressed with BBQ sauce or at least a small to go container would be included. Wrong. And as a result we were treated to dry, dry, dry pork and brisket. Perhaps BBQ sauce could have made the pulled pork more palatable but there was no saving the brisket. It was far from being freshly sliced. The price was high for the serving they give. Now, I will say that the sides we ordered (BBQ beans, cabbage slaw, baked potato casserole, and potato salad) were excellent - particularly the potato salad and baked potato casserole. My husband and I just ate there and the ribs were inconsistent (some tender, some not, some hard spots) but the flavor was good. Our sides were decent to good (mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans) but the rolls were terrible and there was no butter. My husband asked for butter and was given a sauce cup of melted butter-like sauce. Eww. They were out of onion tangles. The layout of the dining area and is poorly designed. The atmosphere is not inviting whatsoever. The menu was confusing and the old woman at the register was super slow. The garbage receptacle is round but the trays are square so you have to pick your trash off your tray to throw it away. The spot to get utensils is cramped. The only nice thing was that they had free ice cream cones. All in all, we won't return. read more

I have been to Dickies multiple times in different states. The food is comparable at all of them except the one I visited in an airport that was in Texas (that was horrible). The food is good, the spicy BBQ sauce is great. I saw someone post the the food is overpriced. I have eaten BBQ in a lot of places and Dickies is actually inexpensive BBQ. For $15 I always leave stuffed which is equivalent to Red Robin, Outback and the rest. read more

Can't beat the kids eat free on Sundays! The Free ice cream went well. Turkey, beef brisket, pulled pork was great. The side of potatoe salad and fries were good. Salad was limp however. Overall I think it is a good value for your money especially on Sundays. read more

Had to ask for wetnap none out. 5 star this visit Second Experience- Wednesday ran out of Daily Special. Had a sandwich, lots of meat but bun was dry. Main cook very friendly.. 2 stars this visit Third Experience- Tuesday Daily Special. Ribs were a bit "fatty" like eating at Old Country Buffet. not impressed.. The food is completely average. The sides are exactly what you would get out of a deli case at the grocery store. I had to repeat my order about 6 times. I will never come back. My food was cold. I got the brisket sandwich and there was hardly any meat, it was almost pure fat. The service was horrible. Nobody smiled and they all seemed like they couldn't care less to be there. The building is way to small for how busy it gets. First time at this location. This is just a walk up and order BBQ place. But the food was great as at other Dickies I have been to. Seems that the not so good reviews were from early in this location's existance. Not for our visit. The staff was great, super nice, and caring. Wanted us to have everything we needed to enjoy our meal. My half rack of pork ribs was great, smoke was good, and they do not smother the meat in sauce, and you can have all the sauce you want. Fried okra was spicy and crispy.. Cole slaw was good, not over dressed. Wife had a pulled pork sandwich, again they did not drown the meat in sauce, in my opinion, this makes it great to me. The ice cream at the end is fun, and you can have as little as you want. Again, the staff was super! I think this place is definitely worth a try! read more

Well first time trying. Well ordered the pulled pork and beef brisket for me and the wife got the polish sausage and turkey and we got a half rack of ribs. Well the pork was ok , the beef was tasteless!! Well the turkey was good but there was not enough to feed my wife who eats like bird !!!! Now the ribs were the high point !! Nice tasting and juicy!!! I really liked my bbq brisket the couple times I've been there. And the free ice cream cone too. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because I don't like the menu layout, so -1 star for that. The meals that are labeled with the days of the week are a dumb idea. We ordered a rack of ribs, and a pound each of the chicken breast and brisket to use as the main course for dinner at home with friends. We made our own sides of corn, baked potatoes, salad and bread. Everyone thought the BBQ was absolutely delicious, and a very good value for the money. They were generous servings (actually seemed like more than a pound each of the brisket and the chicken but I didn't weigh it) and a nice big cup of BBQ sauce - enough meat and sauce to feed the five of us (all adults) again the next day. For a delicious meal that was easy on prep and the pocketbook I don't think you could beat this. We will definitely be doing this one again. We served the sauce on the side because not everyone wanted more flavor on the meat. It was very well seasoned and leftovers from the SECOND meal will make a couple sandwiches more. Dickeys, aka Sickeys, is a very poor excuse for a BBQ restaurant. The food was very sub par. We ordered a Picnic Pack to go, and for $26 it had to be one of the biggest let downs. We ordered mac and cheese, they were sold out. No big deal. We picked two other sides. Loaded Potato Casserole, which was mashed potatoes with grated cheese on top. I know $1 instant packs that taste better. Green Beans With Bacon, to tell you the truth, pretty damn good. But the biggest let down, getting in the car, noticing you don't have the 4 biscuits they offer, going back into Sickeys, and having the girl tell you "they don't have anymore and won't make anymore". Uh, what? Why would I order the Pulled Pork Picnic Pack if you don't have biscuits to go with it!?! How am I supposed to make a pulled pork sandwich without the bread? Why didn't you tell me that when I ordered!? So finally home with our box of cold pulled pork, sub par Loaded Potato Casserole, and the delicious Green Beans With Bacon. I tried to convince myself that maybe it was going to be good and that sometimes this happens in the restaurant industry and it's not their fault......Nope! It's definitely their fault. Sad food, poor service, and an all around bad idea. Sorry Sickeys, you lost my vote. Please go back the drawing board and start over. Nice try though. God bless. read more
