The items left off our burgers

After a 30 minute wait, both my husband and my burgers were missing items - his "Rise and Swine" didn't have an egg, and my sautéd onions were left off. They brought them to us as a side, but no utensils to put them on the burger. The food was good though.

Dog, fries with my wife's dog in the back...tasty!

Stopped in for lunch and had the hot dog (customized with cheese, mustard, pickles and jalapenos) with a side of chili cheese fries. Dog was delicious...it comes on a Texas toast as the bun...worked well and was tasty. Chili cheese fries were good as well...a good lunch stop in Eugene!

The onion rings that are weirdly breaded and fell apart when touched and my burger -- after I fixed how it should be constructed.

I would really like to like Dickie Jo's, but... I don't. I had been here once before a few years ago for my nephew's birthday party. It has an old school soda shop vibe, but it only goes part of the way. They do it here and there, while the booths look like they belong in an entirely different restaurant. They either need to fully commit to the theme or don't -- but doing it half asses doesn't do it for me. I was looking recently for a burger alternative to Wayback Burger that also makes their own patties. Firstly, their website is an intrusive joke. It asked how I wanted to place the order and sign into an account. I didn't really want an account, and it had a guest (just using email), my google account, or Facebook. I chose ky email, but by the end of the transaction, it had access to my google information and had my CC info on file from my Google Play account even though I did NOT choose the google option. So I'm already not happy. I arrived to pick up my order even though I initially chose a delivery option (you actually select the tip for the driver first thing and then by the very end, as you are clicking to pay, you find out delivery isn't actually an option -- so why bother having me choose that and select a tip???) a few minutes early. My food was already ready (I could see the bag ready to go), but I had to wait 6-7 minutes in line to get to tell someone, so the food just sat. The lady in front of me had a pick up order and mentioned that she was supposed to have 3 drinks. She was given 3 cups and her huge bag of food to go and get those herself. Awesome. I get home and the food... just isn't very good. I got onion rings, but they were poorly breaded. The breading waa falling off as you picked one up. They were all like that. No seasoning of any kind. Just bland. There was supposed to be ranch (my youngest child had gotten fries with ranch as well), but they forgot that. And napkins. Considering the burgers with homemade patties tend to get messy and fall apart, these aren't things that should be forgotten. I got a double burger, added pickles and BBQ sauce and sauteed onions -- pretty much now I get things at Wayback. I have ZERO idea how the cooks thought that putting together a burger with veggies all over the place was a good idea. The BBQ sauce -- what little there was -- was on the bottom, followed by lettuce and tomatoes. Then a patty, then the onions, then another patty, then pickles on top, with some weird sauce on the top bun. Who thought this is the right way to construct a burger? Why are the veggies spread out everywhere? Why are the onions between the patties? The problem when you do this is it masks the flavor of the meat. Every bite ends up putting veggies on your tongue or the roof of your mouth. May as well just order a salad. And the rest of the burger? The patties were well done (which is fine with me). Zero seasoning. The patties have no flavor of their own. The onions were a bit on the raw side. The BBQ was so light it was unnoticeable. It just wasn't a good burger -- and really, it needed to be done completely differently. From the seasoning, to the cooking of the meat, to the burger construction. All were done very poorly. Unfortunately, this experience was poor from start to finish. The website ordering was inaccurate (no delivery after requesting a tip for the driver), the website used information I didn't provide to it, my food got cold because I had to stand in line to pick up my food that was ready when I walked in, napkins and sauces were forgotten, the food was severely lacking in seasoning and flavor and whomever determine how to do the simpliest of things like construct a burger has no idea what the hell they are doing. It wasn't a horrible experience from top to bottom, but it also wasn't good. At all. I'll pass on going there again.

Burger fries and a drink for $20

Food is good but not worth $20 I paid $20 for what's pictured below. I don't understand how this is $20 I know prices have gone up but damn.

You can never go wrong going to dickie jo/yo's. They always have good food and once you are done eating you can go get some frozen yogurt. It's the best of both worlds.

Great service and great food from a very classic spot. I loved the peanut butter milkshake. It reminded me of the ones my grandma got for me when I was a kid.

Tried out ColdFire Brewing Company and had a really good experience overall. The food was solid,…read moreservice was fine, and the fried pickle appetizer plus the chips were definitely worth ordering. My only complaint was that they were out of mac and cheese as a side order, but somehow still had it available if you ordered the rib platter, a little confusing. What really makes this place stand out is the great selection of beers and cocktails. The space feels clean, modern, and new, which makes it an easy place to hang out. I just wish they had a larger outdoor seating area instead of the small patio with only a few chairs. Overall, we'll definitely be back for the food and drinks. Cheers!

I came in here with the family a couple nights ago. It was busy, and we were seated next to the…read morekids play area. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and fries. It came slathered in a spicy mustard. Pickles balanced it when you got a bite, but there wasn't enough. It could have benefitted from more pickles, maybe a coleslaw to really balance it. Another in our party ordered the pork chop. Which he couldn't finish, citing it was too rich and heavy. Again, acid would have helped here. Note the theme of unbalanced dishes. Another ordered a BLT. They were out of normal bread and only had rye. Which it was the whitest rye I've ever seen. But the complaint here was it was over toasted. I watched it being consumed, and it looked liked trying to chew through two croutons with stuffing in the middle. Yet the bacon wasn't crispy. Everybody else in our party was satisfied with their food. Portion size seemed really small. I ate on several appetizers everyone ordered, had a beer, ate all of my meal, and had dessert, and didn't feel very full. Normally I have my husband finish my food for me. I'd imagine he'd walk away and need to go elsewhere for another meal just to feel full. Kitchen was slower than a directionally challenged turtle, so the wait staff had to continuously apologize to multiple tables for the wait times. Which the wait staff was doing their absolute best, and were really helpful. Parking is terrible. It's cramped. My in-laws don't have a large car, a Subaru, and everyone except the driver had to get out prior to parking, just to ensure we actually could get out. Yes, you can park in the lines without too much trouble. But can you get out of your vehicle without smacking into the next car? Nope. Not unless you're Gumby and can snake your way out over the top of the door. Would I return? If I'm spending my own money to eat here, absolutely not. This was a birthday party, and the birthday celebrant chose it. So I had no say, and that was fine. But I wouldn't eat here willingly on my own choosing, especially if my husband is with me due to the small portion size.
