Flat Bed sent by Team at Dick's

Our vehicle was incapacitated after a week long vacation at The Villa Roma Resort. Midday on Sunday the day of our departure of the Labor Holiday weekend. Contacted AAA and Dicks was the local vendor to respond. The flatbed arrived in a timely manor being operated by the third generation driver of Dicks. Our van was packed up for the travel home including two wheel chairs used by our son. The team at Dicks put a plan together to ready the van for the ride. The plan was to bring the van back to Long Island with the next day or so. Fortunately relatives provided us with a ride home. Monday morning, we received a call the van was on its way. We are VERY, VERY APPRECIATIVE with the Service, planning, professionalism, kindness & understanding the Team of Dicks provided. The founder of this family business would be sooooo proud the legacy. THANK YOU

    See all

I was surprised to see some of the poor reviews when I got to Yelp to leave this feedback. My wife…read moreand I purchased a vehicle over the weekend at M&M and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. In reading the reviews that were negative, it seemed that some had not even dealt with M&M and others did not bring their issues to the company, they just left negative reviews without giving them a chance to make it right. I do not feel this to be fair or an indication of a good customer. I started and ran retail companies, and no matter how hard I would try, my employees and I would make mistakes daily and all I could do was work my hardest to make whatever the problem was right. We also received a pretty cheesy promotion in the mail from M&M. It promised a gift, which we got (very inexpensive smart watches). But once you get to Liberty, I can understand the challenge they have in getting customers to drive to a small town, passing numerous larger dealerships, with bigger signs, and more modern buildings, to come to them. I still am not sure what moved me to visit them, I know that the vast majority of promotions are gimmicks, but it was a beautiful day and the drive was pleasant. We ended up purchasing a used Subaru from them. We got there at 2:00PM on Saturday and walked out at 7:20PM with our new vehicle. For me, that was about average for a large purchase. My wife and I present a unique challenge for financers because of our previous history and what we do for work now, but we were able get a monthly payment we could afford, at an interest rate below 11%, with no money down. I realize that this may not be possible for everyone, but I felt that they really tried to help us out. I didn't feel like a number, I felt like a friend through the entire process. This is my experience, it doesn't mean it will be yours. I attempt to be kind and courteous to those I deal with. I try to be understanding of how difficult it can be to make people happy, especially in a culture where few even no where to look for happiness. However it is my belief that the employees at M&M, and their owner are honest, genuine, and do care about the work they do.

M&M can sell cars/trucks (great experience) but its just not worth it to buy from them. This was my…read moresecond and last negative experience. I had previously purchased a Ford Expedition King Ranch and have been happy with the vehicle. Recently I had an issue with the transmission while using 4-wheel drive. I had the vehicle towed to M&M 2 weeks ago on a Sunday and was told the vehicle would be looked at on Mon or Tues. I drove by on Wed and was told they hadn't gotten to it and would get to it before end of week. I came back on Friday and was told customer appointments come first. I asked to make an appointment and was told by the Service Manager that it wasn't worth it because they would get to it the following Monday. I came by the following Tues and the Service Manager gave me a bunch of bs again. At that moment I knew the vehicle would just sit there so I made an appointment at REA Ford and on Friday the 13th with the vehicle still sitting in the same location where it was dropped off 2 weeks prior, I had the vehicle towed to REA Ford and they immediately handled it. M&M Service dept is over matched and not honest with their customers. I wasn't asking to be put in front of the line, I was looking for them to tell me when my vehicle would be serviced but this was too difficult for them to gauge. The service manager is challenged regarding time management and setting customer expectations. Making false statements and having no idea how to manage customer schedules is a recipe for disaster. I'm only a few miles away and want to support my local economy but I'm tired with such shoddy service at M&M.

I brought my truck to Wayne County Ford for a transmission repair and had a frustrating experience…read morewith how my situation was handled I provided warranty documentation and simply asked that it be reviewed. The service manager refused to look at it, pushed it aside, and stated that the computer system is all that matters. He also suggested the document could be fraudulent and told me to take it back to the selling dealer. When I asked again for it to be reviewed, I was told service could be refused I was later contacted by the owner, Bryanna, who was polite and responsive. I explained from the beginning that I was already working with the selling dealership on the warranty and that my concern was how the situation was handled. While she offered to help on the warranty side, the focus stayed there rather than addressing the customer service issue At the end of the day, I was simply looking for the way I was treated to be acknowledged and addressed This situation could have been avoided with basic professionalism and a willingness to review the documentation provided. The repair is still ongoing, so I cannot speak to the quality of the work yet, but the initial experience was disappointing.

When I get back to the dealership, I crawled underneath to take a look. I found a substantial oil leak. When I told the salesman (Don Race) he assured me the guys in the shop will fix it. He also told me they would put new tires on too. Then we talked numbers, I was approved for the loan and we shook hands on the deal. I would come back in a week to do my final inspection and sign paperwork. Two days later I talked to the salesman and now he tells me the manager doesn't want to put the money into the truck to fix the oil leak (it needs an oil pan) so I can buy it for $4000 less because "that's what we can get at auction". No new tires either. As is no warranty. It makes me think they're hiding something else. The salesman (Don Race) lied to me. He assured me they would fix it. That's the only reason I moved forward to make a deal. I would not recommend Wayne County Ford to anybody for sales service or anything else.

Caveat Emptor!!! Started off badly and this should have been a sign......made an appointment to see…read morea specific car. Arrived for the appointment and discovered the car I wanted to see was sold. I travelled one hour to get to the dealership but received no call to inform me the car had been sold. The GM, sitting in adjacent office, overheard the conversation going sideways and quickly suggested another car - same make and model. Turns out the car WAS nice and we bought it. It did have a check engine light on but the salesperson said the part that was needed 'was ordered'. Said it was an O2 sensor (keep that in mind). Oh, and dealership was going to tack on approximately $800 in dealer fees! Obviously, that was negotiated to a saner amount but in retrospect, I should have negotiated even more. Drove home thinking that the fix and 'detailing' the car would have been just a couple days. That was a Tuesday. I called the following Saturday. (Note that there was absolutely no call(s) from the dealership as to the status of this car undergoing repairs.) I was told the car would be ready Monday. Monday arrived and we could not make the trip that day. Tuesday (now one week later) I called the salesperson - twice - no answer and NO voicemail. I tried connecting with any other salesperson. No answer and NO voicemail. Finally, I contacted their 'award winning' Service Department. The person who answered the phone, after giving my name and the car I bought, could not find the car in the system. He sounded confused as to whether the car was even there! I thought they had sold it. Finally, he told me they were waiting on one part. I asked what part? he said a 'turn signal stalk' and once that's fixed, the car would be cleaned and inspected. I asked what was the reason for the check engine light. He said it was a purge valve. Apparently, it wasn't an O2 sensor as I was told. Note that had I made the trip Monday, that car would not have been ready! I became a bit irate over the lack of communication from the dealership and demanded better communication going forward. Ten minutes after I hung up, I receive a text from the salesperson informed me the car will be ready for pickup - THAT AFTERNOON! Now I'm no car mechanic, but I'm not sure you can replace a turn signal stalk in a matter of a half hour and have the car cleaned and ready for delivery. We pick up the car on Wednesday, eight days after the sale. We had asked for two issues to be addressed. One, eliminate the STRONG odor of cigarette smoke in the car. Salesperson said they have a chemical to do that. It wasn't done. Two, clean a minor stain on the inside of the 'A' pillar. It wasn't done. The car appeared to have been vacuumed and washed but the wheels were caked in brake dust and accumulated grime. I was so incensed about my experience, I just took the key and drove home. When I arrived home, I cleaned the inside of the windows. If I could post pictures of the nicotine that was on those paper towels, I would. It was gross. I also cleaned the wheels with wheel cleaner and they now look like new. I know it's early, but the car seems good. HOWEVER, the absolute lack of customer service, awareness, communication and let's call it like I see it - honesty - is sorely lacking. Take this review for what it's worth.
