The sales lady was helping me in the sunglasses section of the store when a customer interrupted our conversation to announce she wanted to make a purchase. My sales lady abandoned me without saying a word . Another sales person helped my sales lady to make the sale. I'm standing there wondering what just happened. I asked for a gift card and when they went to get me it she pressed "return to visa" and I had no way of getting that money back as my grandma is not good with technology and lives very far away. Not impressed. I'm writing this review a little late but better late than never. I ordered my boyfriend a hoodie & a hydroflask lid online for Christmas. I had it sent to the store for in store pick up. When I walk in, I see the man by the entrance who was there to greet people & assist but he did neither for me. I see the kiosk that is meant for online orders but it wasn't working for me so I was looking around confused. I wait in line & when I get to the front, the young girl tells me to use the kiosk with an attitude, not even trying to help. So I figure it out then she only brings out one of my items. I ask for the second one & her attitude got worse. So I got my stuff & left. I get home & realize they gave me the wrong size. The next day I go back & wait in line once again. Up to the front I go, I let them know what happened & the lady was just paging everyone else to get me the right size. It would've took less time if she did it herself. No apology, nothing. The worst customer service ever! As all these kids are running the circus, which they don't care about their customers. I received a pair of $160 shoes for my birthday and they were the wrong size. So I went in to exchange them and the girl at the register, who was absolutely rude and looked like she was twelve years old. She said they didn't have my size or shoe. Did I want a refund? I told her sure. Well I didn't have a receipt, so she could not give me full credit and would only give me back $36 for $160 shoes. I asked for a manger. He came up and looked like he was 13yrs old. He told me the same thing. They could not give me a full refund without a receipt. They have no customer service skills at all and they could care less about the customer. We bought a camper van, went in Dick's to look at camp chairs...they have a good selection. Not one of them had a price marked, nor did the shelves some of them were on. I stopped a clerk who said it was "her" department. I asked, "how do I know how much any of these chairs are?" She replied, "oh, none of them are marked. If you find one you like, bring it to me and I'll go find the price." I said, "one at a time?" She replied, "yes". I said, it's really hard to know which one we want when we don't know how much they are!" She replied, "I know, it's kind of a problem." I bought shoes for my son for cross country $140 at Dicks and in less than a month they were falling apart. The bottom is peeling apart and picking up rocks from normal wear. I went to the store and Robert the general manager said that it was impossible to take shoes back after they've been worn. He was unwilling to try to solve the problem and just gave me a customer service number. He said he was not willing to lose money on the shoes like it was really his store. I needed pepper spray for my wife and I wanted a medicine ball, so I stopped in. I was reluctant to come here not only because of the stupid phallic name, but also because they've just become woke by refusing to sell those evil guns. After walking around the store some, I asked a young man where the pepper spray was, so he directed me to the back right-hand side of the store. He said they were locked up and he would be there in a minute. After looking in said part of the store--no pepper spray to be found. We asked a woman and she said "Oh there at the mall entrance" which is on the opposite side of the store. We looked around there and I didn't see them in the glass cabinet, since the first worker said they were locked up. The same man appeared and again he said that they were in the place where we just vacated. My New Yorker came out and I said loudly "We were just there and no pepper spray was there. A lady just directed us here. Does anyone know what's going on around here?!" We went back to where he first directed us and brought us a package of pepper spray. He said if you need more they have them at checkout. We went to checkout near the parking lot and I asked the woman (Penny) if they had another package of pepper spray. She contradicted the man and said that they weren't at this counter, they were at the mall checkout in A BIN. That is, they weren't locked up. She took us over there and showed us where the magic bin was. Unfortunately this type of Keystone Kop "customer service" is the same in every store in Albuquerque. It is a total joke and you people here don't know good customer service until you have been to Florida or Las Vegas. I will never come back to ANY Dick's again. read more

Word to ya momma: Coronado mall, er, Center, needs Dick's. If you want a decent, rather inexpensive alternative to some of the specialized sporting goods purveyors in Uptown, hit Dick's. It's what you'd expect, national/international brands for every sport you can imagine, and they have a little local love for personal trainers and brands, but not much. I consider this outlet, which is somewhat expansive (one sprawling floor) the go-between when it comes to Big 5 (really cheap and unapologetically foreign made) and REI (way too expensive and wanna-be local, but still foreign-based). For our family's needs they don't offer anything (not that I saw, anyway) for the small kiddo's; youth is somewhat represented, but this is mainly for the older, self-motivated home athlete. Prices are precisely mid-range, and there aren't many sales, save a few clearance racks. For Coronado Mall, er, Center, it offers the best selection around. read more

I have heard of Dick's Sporting Goods, and it seemed as if it had a good reputation. So, when I went seeking a Schwinn AD7 stationary riding bike, I thought I'd see if it was available locally. I called Dick's sporting Goods store nearest my location (there are two in town) and was told they did not have stock but their other store did have stock. I asked if the bike that was in stock could be transferred to the store nearest to me and was told that it could but would take up to 4 days to transfer. The employee that I was dealing with was helpful and courteous, so, it surprised me when a promised callback informing me when the bike was available never occurred. I gave it a few extra days, but still no call. So, I purchased the bike direct from Schwinn's website. The bike did arrive in a timely fashion from Schwinn, but with box damage due to the shipper (The shipper apparently ran a fork life through the box.) The damage was minimal but, purchasing locally was intended to avoid such issues. As an aside, Schwinn's customer support was excellent and resolved the issue within a week. I write this review hoping that upper management at Dick's Sporting Goods has the opportunity to hear of this oversight and understand that it does affect a customer's opinion when promises made were promises not kept. I would give Dick's Sporting Goods another chance as one employee (and, because I am not sure what that employee's reasons were for not following up) should not tarnish a store's reputation. read more

Very, very disappointed with their customer service here. I bought some workout shorts here using Apple Pay. They didn't fit correctly so I came to return them. I no longer had the receipt but I did have the credit card I used. I was told to swipe my card which I did and was told that they couldn't find my card. I showed them my applepay proof of payment. After calling a manager, I was told they'd only refund me the sub-price and not the full price. I paid $25.99 and they only were going to give me $16. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only that, they were putting $16 on a gift card so I'd have to use it there. I will NEVER shop here again. This is shady business practices. read more

This location is connected to the mall. It wasn't clear when we pulled up exactly where it was, so we went inside the department store and they told us it was just next to where we were, but we had to go outside to get to it. We came in close to closing time and was looking for golf balls. When I walked in, I asked the cashier where the golf section was and she pointed me to it, which was right in front of me. The cashier was super friendly and answered all my questions about golf balls and shirts. The store seemed big, although we just stayed in the golf section which was right in front. read more

Dick's sporting goods has the worst customer service imaginable. I stood in line for over 10 minutes to pay for 1 item. The brain dead employees only had 2 cashiers with over 20 people in line. A numb nuts manager came to the check out counter and pretended to do something instead of checking out customers or calling other cashiers to shorten the wait. I will never shop there again. Went by Dick's to buy a dart board. My choices were a sealed box with someone's gum on it or an open box that was falling apart. I asked the check out clerks to send someone over so I could ask if they had anymore in the back. After waiting patiently for 10 minutes I walked out. Why do I keep coming back to this place? I went to the store on a Saturday to buy some running shoes for my fiancé for his birthday. When I made my decision, I asked a sales lady for the size and she informed me that they did not have that size available, but could order it for me and guarantee delivery in 2 days with free shipping. I told her I actually could do it myself because I had a $10 off online coupon that offered free delivery. I asked if she would be able to honor the $10 off, but she couldn't. She advised me that the online free delivery is standard and it wouldn't arrive for 5-10 business days. So I decided to place my order with her, since she advised me that the shoes should arrive no later than Thursday and I would receive an email with the tracking #. Come Monday, still no email for tracking, so I called CS and they advised me that the order hasn't been processed and it's for standard delivery, so I wouldn't receive it for 5-10 business days and unfortunately there was nothing else they could do. So, not only was I lied to by the salesperson, so that she could make a sale, but the CS Representative offered me a 15% coupon for my next online order for misunderstanding the process. I advised her there was no misunderstanding, just poor service. Told the CS rep, no thanks, since this would be my last order. read more

This was the third year in a row I tried to order the same size and color Merrell Hiking shoes online for STORE PICKUP. It's the same credit card, no address change - nothing different. I place the order and get a confirmation email. About ten minutes later I get another email saying (without explanation) that my order was canceled. I've spoken to customer support and store managers each year. No one can or will tell me why my order gets canceled. So, I go to the store and make an instore purchase with the same credit card. No one asks for ID when using the card, but I suspect they would ask for my driver license if it were an online order for store pickup. Of course I'm not sure about that, because I've never achieved that. Because I got what I wanted at a reasonable price I only cursed people out over the phone. However, I will never step foot in another Dick's Sporting Goods. Saving fifteen dollars is just not worth the agravation. read more

I'd choose no stars if I could.. My son is on his high school golf team and was looking to upgrade his golf irons n fairway drivers. He is a Taylor Made guy, so that's what he saved all summer for. This store was out first stop because of his excitement of new clubs. We stopped n priced the clubs then proceeded to purchase his school clothes as this store is attached to the mall. We returned to buy the Taylor Made clubs, his problem was deciding what set will be best for him. All time we were in the golf section, no one came to assist us right away, then finally this grumpy older associate came after we were there for awhile. We asked a few basic questions about the clubs, possible sale prices, and possible tax amounts but he wasn't any help, mumbled something n basically walked away. So, we left without buying anything. My son was disappointed because I wasn't about to let him support this store with service, or non service like that. My son's only problem was deciding what set to purchase and wanted more advice for somebody other than me. He was leaning towards the $400 dollar set but was really wanting the $600 set but was lacking the funds. I was willing to help him and meet him in the middle with the $500 set but this happened. So either way the grumpy older man cost dicks sporting goods a minimum of $400. We will not be back... Just got him a nice set from the Taylor Made website. I love Dicks Sporting goods! I spend a lot of money there about once every month or two, but I highly do not recommend the Dicks at Cornado mall.i would advise on going to the one near Cottonwood mall on the west side. The dicks at Cornado mall is the worst at customer service at any store that I hace ever shopped at in my entire life. They racial profile there as soon as you walk in the door depending on how you look they automatically think people are or aren't thieves. I have been watched every time that I go to that store to make big purchases. I never ever get any customer service that I am there browsing. I have been there about 8-10 times and every time I have been there I have never ever been approached by a Representative in my multiple times being there. That doesn't speak very highly of the management there. Speaking of the management there I was there my sixth visit to that store. I was at the register checking out and I had found something on the clearance rack and the manager was watching the store representative check me out at the register for what reason i didn't have any clue why. And when the rep scanned the clearance item the manager jumped in and said "That is not the right price for the item" and gave me the dirtiest look anyone could give someone. Took the item from the store rep and immediately started to inspect the item and looking it up in there system. I clearly said I got it from the clearance rack. She ignored me and kept looking. So I took the store rep to see the clearance item where I found it at. There was multiple of the same items that were on clearance with the same price of the one I had. The rep informed the store manager of the item. The manager gave her the item back didn't say a word to me or to the rep and walked off. All I wanted to hear was sorry and I would of been fine. But with not one word said it pissed me off even more!!!! I know the way she was going about this has happened more then once. Just because people are different from you don't judge before you know someone it's very rude and disrespectful. I would never recommend this store to anyone or advise anyone to go there. Just because of ther horrible customer service. You can have the best products in the world, but if your customer service sucks like this store does you don't deserve any good reviews or any recommendations for people to go there and spend thier hard earned money. I will never go there ever again this place needs to teach thier store reps and thier store managers how to treat people. I have gave them to many chances which I will never do again. I learned the hard way. But I do highly. Recommend the west side Dicks I love the products there and they have much more and different products then the uptown one. read more
