My son's baseball bag fell out of my husband's truck somewhere around Prairie Center. It had everything in it he needs to play baseball. His helmet his mitt, his gloves, his cleats, his bat and all his catchers gear. Needless to say my 12-year-old son was devastated and completely heartbroken. The kindness of people will never cease to amaze me. We didn't get the bag back, but our son's story made it to the store manager of the Brighton Dick's Sporting Goods. Alicia reached out to us and generously offered to help us replace some of the things that were lost. She was able to locate the same glove and helmet he had and gave him a new bat and new batting gloves as well! She also provided us with a discount to purchase the remaining things that needed to be replaced. I cannot tell you what this means to our family. What an AMAZING blessing!! DO NOT HAVE YOUR BIKE REPAIRED HERE. I took my bike in on April 7, to have it serviced. After about 10 days without hearing anything, I stopped by Dick's and was told they had not started on my bike yet. I was assured that my bike would be the next bike repaired. After still not hearing back from Dick's, I stopped by again on April 23 (16 days after first dropping off my bike), and my bike still have not been started. I spoke to a manager who just gave me excuses about how Dick's didn't have enough employees to work on bikes, they had too many bikes to work on, etc. The manager didn't care about the inconvenience Dick's poor customer service had caused me. The only solution given to me was to take my bike and go somewhere else. Nothing like telling your customers their business isn't wanted. So, now I have to find another bike shop and wait even longer to get my bike repaired. read more

I went in today to try and buy a kayak. I found a kayak I fell in love with that was priced at $220. I was ecstatic. After getting an associate to help me to a register I was told that both tags on the kayak were wrong and it was actually $340. I was pretty devastated. I was ready to walk away when the manager offered me 20% off. The customer service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to correct an honest mistake. read more

Entire stock of a product was either all stocked in the wrong place or the wrong price tag was placed with them. Either way the tag stated $30, but rang up as $60. Employee verified it wasn't just 1 item misplaced but refused to adjust the price due to their mistake. My business will be taken elsewhere. read more

I came here looking for a gun for my husband. When I first went in, I went through three staff members before I found someone who was able to help me and give me the information I needed. He was very nice and helpful, and he even wrote down the gun information so that I could research it before making the purchase. I went back to the store that evening to purchase the gun, and it was if the staff members didn't have the time of day for me. One guy got me started on the background check form and said he would be back to print it so that I could sign it to authorize the background check. He never showed back up. Another man helped someone who came in after me. He also disappeared after helping the other customer. After waiting 15 minutes, a lady finally came to help me but couldn't process the background check because the address on my ID didn't match the address I typed into the computer. I ended up going to Cabelas, and had much better service from the men working at the gun counter, and they were able to process my background check. I will be doing business there from now on. read more

I bought a Quest canopy July 10, 2019, and purchased the 1 year replacement plan. I had to return the canopy for warranty today (we had used it once), 8.15.2019. I called Asurion 866.257.6545. George told me that it is essentially a 2 year warranty because Quest has a 1 year warranty. He told me to call Dick's 866.677.4771 to handle the warranty, so I did. Josh told me to take the canopy and receipt to any store, and they would replace it or give me a gift card/refund. I dealt with Samantha, and she was extremely rude. She kept pointing at the Asurion phone number on the receipt insisting to me that they are the one's that deal with the warranty, not the store. I explained to her what I was told by both phone numbers, she said "no, you need to call Asurion, it happens all the time with these". Not a glowing endorsement for the product. I asked if she wanted me to call the Dick's number and have them talk to her, she said no, I'll do the return for you this time. Like she was doing me a favor. Maybe she doesn't understand that there is an automatic 1 year manufacturers warranty, and that the replacement plan doesn't kick in until after the 1 year? Maybe Asurion and Dick's Corporate Customer Service doesn't understand how the policy works? read more
