Got ripped off this morning at dicks in brooksville. Bought a pair of boots . Got up to the counter to pay and noticed they were charging me 25 dollars over the advertised price . The lady at the counter said it was a different color that was less money I told her it was different online and she told me I would h to go online and prove that to her . I went to Dick's to purchase a weight bench. The one that I planned to purchase was not delivered to store the day I was told it will be available. Dicks store has everything you need for outdoors or any sports. They ask to check your guns when you enter at the customer service desk but I notice there was nobody there. The store is well organized neat and clean. The only cons: there could be more service help in the store and it lends the impression that the items are overpriced and expensive. They do have quality items. I have not had to return anything so unsure of their policy. read more

I'm putting together a Christmas wish list for a foster child whose list I picked off of a wishing tree. The 8 yr old child requested a soccer ball, soccer shirt and soccer shorts. Not a hard list to obtain as he supplied his sizes. Unfortunately, I ordered the items from Dick's online. Two of the items arrived on time but the shorts were not inside. A call to Dick's was met with empathy and I had a replacement pair of shorts shipped for free and expedited... or so I thought. Days later, UPS still has no record of being handed the replacement shorts. Another call to Dick's and they don't know why UPS doesn't have the shorts, even though Dick's created a shipping label. Dick's wants 24 hours to find out what is going on but the due date for the items requested is quickly approaching and I will NOT disappoint this child. Dick's refunded me the cost of the shorts but now I have to scramble and pay extra for super fast shipping. Dick's appears to have a policy of creating a shipping label but not shipping if they don't have an item; dragging you on and on while you wait for your item. They'll never get the chance to do so again. Shame on you, Dick's, for the reprehensible behavior and your attempt to ruin Christmas for a foster child. Never going to shop at Dick's again. Never going to step foot into their stores again. read more

Bought a pair of the "famous" Birkenstock sandals for more than $55 and they actually ripped after a few months of very light use. I called the store Mgr and they were completely indifferent. So basically you buy it and you're stuck with it. The only help the Mgr offered was to contact Birkenstock directly. Dicks is not what it used to be. read more

Terrible customer service. Stood by the locked Oakley sunglasses case for ten minutes waiting for someone to help me. I saw several people looking at me including one who looked like a manager and everyone chose to ignore me so I eventually just left. read more

Need sporting goods? Look no further than Dick's! They have everything you need when it comes to indoor/outdoor sports apparel (even skiing, for those cold Floridian winters). This store is clean and well organized, except for the clearance racks - my only gripe with this store. Looking through the clearance racks forces you to sort the clothes, separate hangers, and mumble a few curse words in the process. However, despite that, the employees are helpful and friendly and it's still a good store (and much needed in the area). read more

My rating reflects one star for good customer service. The other star for friendly management. I had to knock them down one star because they're way too expensive and another two stars for not living up to a promise they made me. I asked them if they could hold a championship hat for the Tampa Bay Lightning Eastern Conference? The clerk said yeah sure that's not a problem at all. I specifically asked them to hold it for about a week. They put my name on it and I said shouldn't you put a date on it when I will pick it up? The clerk said no we will have it here for you. I said don't you need my phone number? He said no we will have it here for you. I come in four days later and ask for my hat and the girl behind the register says oh no they put it back out on the floor and it's gone!!! The manager try to help me by calling a couple of other stores. However he said it's not our policy to hold items. I would think if that's the policy then the employees should know the policy well. The only thing good about this experience is the hats were half off. I didn't get the official one that I wanted them to hold, but at least I got something. read more

I walked in and somebody greeted me with a mask and told me I needed a mask to shop there. Masks are not helping when they are misused dirty and people are touching their face and spreading their spit and bacteria all over the place. I do not want to shop in a place that's making us feel "safe" and requiring masks without really doing anything. Their check out station doesn't have touchless credit card scanners!! Now everyone is touching the same devise and spreading the virus's and bacteria at the point of sale. Then everyone touches their masks and spreads the disease on their face. The masked do not stop the tinny virus from passing through. It spreads through the mask. Read the label on the mask box to verify. DICK's should get a touch-less check card scanner That would help from spreading the decease. The mask is not the solution. It's politically correct. read more

So I give this place one star because some of the staff is great and helpful. While the store "manager" had to be the most unprofessional person I have ever met. Instead of walking over to us to explain something to us about something that was being return. And to be honest it wasn't even a return. It was a defective batting helmet. His first words are we're going to have a problem. I'm sorry what? Not even knowing what was going on. That's how you begin a conversation with a customer. No introduction of who he is, no seeing what the problem was with the piece of equipment. If it wasn't for one employee who was working at the register and the gentleman who came over to help us find something that would work I wouldn't have even bothered with this place. read more

I went into the store yesterday to buy running shoes and clothes. The staff was very friendly and offered to ship a pair of shoes I liked. They offered a 2 day free shipping but I chose to go with another pair of shoes they had in stock. In today's world if you want customer service you need to approach someone. Can't expect every employee to approach you.. they're busy stocking up the store ect. The store has a wide price range. I could've bought shoes I liked from $45-$150. I bought a few shirts and shorts as well. read more

I was in about 2 weeks ago to buy a gift for my wife. I could not find the item I wanted and I also could not find someone to help me. I walked around the women's department lost and could not find a person to help me. The store is very clean and looks very nice.
