The store claims that they price match, but only price match when they feel like it. Per corporate, the shoe has to be in stock for your size both in store and on the website you are price matching and cannot use a promo code, etc, etc. But the other day the store decided not to honor that because it's a certain shoe. Corporate confirmed that this was incorrect along with not being able to try on the shoe. I originally called to confirm availability of a shoe but when I got there, it was like I never called. Overall I wasted my time and energy dealing with this store. I have priced matched different items before and never had an issue but the young lady who was at the register decided to not honor it. Again, I called corporate to confirm the rules and they sided with me and even offered to do it over the phone for me. I am still confused about the not trying the shoe on rule when I've tried on shoes before with no issues. If you're worried about theft, you should probably only give the left shoe to try on and keep the other one behind the counter. Also, it wasn't like the store was busy as I was the only person in line so you could've moved me to the side and let me try on one shoe. Either way, it wasn't an incorrect way to handle the situation because I felt like it was a special rule for certain people. I ended up ordering the shoes on Nike for cheaper but I don't like the way I treated and talked to. read more

One of the biggest DSG in Colorado Springs and it's definitely one of my favorites! At this location I'm always able to find what I'm looking for because they carry a huge variety of workout gear and have plenty of it in stock. The store is always pretty organized and I'm always able to find the sizes I need. I love the fact that they have a second level to purchase gym equipment, sports gear and a number of other outdoor related items. I love that they carry a huge amount of Nike gear for men and women. They also carry some Under Amour and my latest find is Free People workout clothes which is really cute and fun! Not only do they carry excellent reputable brands, they also provide friendly customer service. You really can't go wrong with that combo! I give DSG a 2 thumbs way up for making my shopping for gym gear fun and easy! read more

I like this Dick's Sporting Goods. I have been to others that had more clothing of each brand but it's still pretty good. Every time I have gone the staff always asks if I need help. Dick's can get somewhat expensive but the quality is good. Military discounts, too! So make sure you ask. read more

OMG...so sad. I was in the neighborhood and in need of new court shoes so I went in for a quick visit. The kid that waited on me didn't even know what court shoes were. Asked me to pull up a picture of them on my phone. I did, and he looked at it with a very blank look in his eyes. He then asked me to go to the Dick's website. I left. Hello all, My name is Tyler and I'm looking for a positive well trained ( enough that they are motivated informative excited if they know which clubs or football or gear is better or best and why. I am applying little later this afternoon at the Greendale Southridge location and let me just say I'm excited to be around cool educated customer oriented crew. I was a stunt performer, semi pro Wrestler entertainer , football player and boxing self defense trainer and trainee and was in a terrible Multi vehicle construction zone car crash on March 24th of this year and it nearly claimed my life. But my glass is well over half full and not leaking just these 5.5 months later . I have fully recovered my core , the extra weight is almost all flexible muscle and all 16 broken ribs are healed and I need a new space, associate or supervisor. I cannot afford a new phone plan computer AND new vehicle as of yet, but I live on 72nd and South ridge Dr. A 5 minute walk and a hop only as I walk ten miles a day as part of full recovery training and rehab and will be better faster stronger and more appreciative then ever before . At 50 I feel 29 and m outlook is not cheesy or fake but extremely blessed thankful and with a zest for life. Change someones day for the better and the bounce back and selfless and patience that learn every day , comes back in every area of life , which needs that balance of people loving people again! It's a giant store that sells outdoor stuff. If you want to buy a kayak, a deer target, and a wool hat in the shape of a polar bear, this is your store. Personally, I've never bought anything here as Amazon has all the same stuff but I tend to walk around inside when I've got a few minutes to kill and I'm at the plaza. The store is well kept. Clean, tidy, and organized. For someone who is NOT a frequent shopper at a Dick's store or REI or whatever, I am able to locate and navigate to the section I want in no time. Ample room between the aisles, and the prices are pretty clearly marked. read more

Would of given 5 stars if the golf department actually was maned. Everytime I go seems like the golf department staff bolt and run away from you so they don't have to help you. This store seems to have lost a bit of its charm over the years. The former Galyans climbing wall remains, (though is not in use) but the real disappointment is the reduction in brands on some of the bigger fitness equipment items. At one time they offered more in the way of weight benches and treadmills, and carried skateboards and accessories for boarding. I was told upon this visit that "sometimes" we stock them, but we have nothing currently as it's a "seasonal" item. The help seemed genuinely dis-interested in answering questions and left me a bit underwhelmed. The only reason they received the 3 star rating is for the apparel selection and shoe wall. I had a problem with my Stiga ST2100 ping pong table that I ordered online, picked up at Park Meadows Dick's at Lonetree and then called up the location at Power's and Carefree in Colo Spgs. I spoke with Jake, manager on duty at the time and he was completely understanding over the phone. I showed up an hour later and he helped me to return it, upgrade to the ST3100 and I couldn't be happier. I purchased some gym shoes and athletic clothing at Dick's, and the selection was outstanding. If anything, there were too many shoe options, so that process took a long time. Their clothing selection is good, and they cater to a wide variety of outdoor and sporting categories. Customer service is great. Parking is generally not an issue, even though there are a lot of other businesses nearby. And, I applaud the company's ethics. read more

I found a Yeti cooler on the 2nd floor and no one was around to help me so I had to lug it down the escalator with my 2 kids in tow. By the time I got to the registers there wasn't a light or anyone standing at one so I just picked one and set it down since it was getting pretty heavy. We bought my son and $800 bike and it literally broke a piece off while we he was riding on the concrete. I paid an extra $70 for an extended warranty the bike broke after two days of owning it and they said they would not cover it even with the warranty and their customer service was so horrible I could not believe it! Do not buy a bike from Dick's Sporting Goods they do not know anything about bikes. My first thought when I tried to find a parking place was why do they only have 11 spaces in front of the store. Now I know. They have no shoppers or employees. I went in looking for a pistol, they don't carry them. I thought they were a sporting goods store. So I looked for bullets, they were upstairs, in a corner, behind a big wall and behind the counter. No employees in the department at all. So forget that. I looked for some other items but no employees to help you. The store was bleak, trying to find the exit I felt like I was trying to escape a prison. Not a good experience at all and probably won't ever shop there again. Dick's is a good sporting goods chain, make no mistake. But this particular store has particularly poor service - across the board. The sales reps in the hunting department are slow to help, less than knowledgable on the processes to purchase firearms (I had to come back a day later to redo paperwork), and are just lazy - not willing to check on stock on hand. Likewise in the fitness section. The item advertised was not even on hand and would have had to be ordered at 300% of the advertised price. When he checked at the other store, he said they were out, but when I went there, they had it! Poor service. Period. For what it's worth, go to the Chapel Hills store for much better service. read more

Ordered camo pants online and paid extra for expedited next day shipping. Called 2 days later and was on hold for more than 20 minutes listening to the repeated message "we are aware of shipping delays for the past two weeks". Once they finally answered the call, my order was still not processed but couldn't be cancelled an refunded. I ended up buying off the rack at bass pro shop. I finally received the order on Tuesday...5 days after promised and paid for despite the fact that the company knew expedited delivery wasn't a realistic option (according to their recorded hold message). Great in store service at the First and Main Tower Center location! I had a return problem that was caused by my own lack of attention to Dick's return policy. However, rather than letting me leave unhappy, mostly with myself, a member of their staff, Tyler, fixed me up with a gift card for the amount of my return when he and Dick's were under no obligation to do so. I left happy, but most of all feeling very good about Dick's focus on taking care of their customers. I will certainly take my Sporting Goods business to Dick's. read more
