Recently I bought a rifle at the Fredericsksburg location, intending to pick up the weapon on 30 June. Upon arrival, my weapon was ready but the Va State Police check was not processed due to horrendous volume of checks being done before new VA laws went into effect on 1 July 2026. So, I had to go home, driving back 50 miles to where I live, and then returned a few days later when Sportsmans called me and told me my VSP check was complete. I picked up my weapon in a few minutes and went home, as these guys are very fast and efficient in their processes to buy guns. Two days after I got home, I received a credit for 50 dollars for my purchase, which I can assume was due to not getting my weapon when they told me to come to the store and pick it up. I did not ask for any refund nor did I suggest any, but Sportsmans gave me one anyway. This is the type of business model that makes life long customers and shows a level of caring about people that I do not see often in any business. Thanks for the 50 bucks and it was a pleasure doing business with this location. (in case anyone is wondering, I am a retired Fed with a LEOSA permit, so there is never any issue with a VSP check for a firearm purchase, with 47 seconds the least amount of time I had to wait for my check to clear the VSP).

looking for a basketball/football ref jersey, found a used jacket in good condition for $12…read more awesome. looked around the store a bit and saw many other used sports items. football jerseys, practice jerseys, baseball pants, new sports socks, used field hockey equipment, baseball helmets & bats, skis, treadmill, punching bags, weight machines basketballs/footballs/baseballs/soccer balls. even dumbells & free weights. i inquired about the weights. they are 55 cents per pound and i saw two hand weight bars/dumbell bars two for $10. not all items are a great price, but there is a lot of selection for all sports. think salvation army/goodwill but for sporting goods. they also put names/numbers on jerseys. that's $4/person per team. staff was friendly and helpful. check it out and see what you can find to get fit. btw, it's located in the strip mall with giant/sweet frog/dollar general. it is over by the post office, laundromat, merle norman, weight watchers, hallmark.

I took my husband's lead (he is an avid runner, I am not) and went to VA Runner. Their staff is highly trained and will do a thorough analysis of your gait, pressure points, arch and more to make sure they recommend the right shoe.
