I only go to this location because it is the closet sports store enroute. I really wanted to give a higher rating, but I am constantly treated rudely when I simply ask if there's any military discount. When my husband asks, not only are they overly polite to him, but they thank him for his service. Mind you, I am the service member and he is the military spouse. This location has a lot of everything when it comes to athletics. They have my favorite shoes "On Cloud " & a very nice variety of them as well. There is a lot of too name brands for athletic gear to chose from. From girls-women's and boys-men's. Even if you are needing golf gear or fitness equipment they got it. The store is very clean and pretty easy to navigate through. The prices are comparable to other stores. Yet, it depends on what store you're comparing it to. The service is where they have dropped the ball. One thing you will always notice is how the sales team is nowhere to be found. Most of the time they seem to back in the back avoiding customers. When they do assist you. They point where something is and truly don't want to help you at all. I have had multiple experiences like this when I have come in to pick up items. I will say July 4th weekend. An amazing sales associate named Vanessa truly went out of her way and helped me look for some items in departments she didn't even work in. She even went into the back trailer that is dark and hot to find a pair of girls Nike pants. Which I had been in there before looking for the same ones. The system said that they had one available. Yet it was nowhere to be found on the floor. While Vanessa was helping me. Her team associates were in the back and not on the floor. I was told that the store gets hit with people stealing a lot. I can see why. The sales associates aren't even on the store floor. They're in the back hiding or "doing work". I recommend the store for your next shopping experience. On Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at approximately 2:20PM I attempted to make a purchase at Dick's Sporting Goods located at 8825 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89117- 5455 store number 1399. I had a coupon for $40. I went to the front of the store and was waited on by teammate Kimberly. I gave her the correct phone number to which the coupon would have been associated with. She said she was unable to pull up the coupon. I guaranteed her that the coupon had not been used and I was attempting to use it on a purchase I planned on making at this store. Kimberly was very nonchalant about it and informed me that I must have the phone number wrong or that it had been previously used. At this time another customer stepped up and told me and Kimberly she had the same problem with the same coupon. I then pointed out to Kimberly, the expiration date was May 17, 2026 therefore this coupon was well within the allotted times . Kimberly, then informed me there was nothing she could do. The coupon was not valid. .I asked to speak with the store manager to which she did call for. Tony approached me and introduced himself as the store manager. I again explained that I was trying to verify the coupon that I had. Tony again took the phone number that was associated with the coupon and again verified that it was invalid. I asked him why it would be invalid when I knew it had not been used and I was well within the expiration time. He gave no explanation just stated it was not coming up on the computer and it must've been used. I guaranteed him that it had not been used. The customer that had stepped up prior once again came over and stated to Tony she had the same problem with the same coupon at the store located at the fashion show mall when I attempted to ask another question Tony became very hostile and informed me to calm down. I had not risen my voice. I believe I was speaking very calmly. I was simply asking for clarification as to why there was a problem Tony continued to make very disrespectful and condescending statements to me. Tony then stated to me, "if I was not calm, ( referring to himself) you would be aware of it also you need to Liston to me." The other customer looked at both of us and she turned and walked away. Tony then told me to just get back in line and the teammate can override it. I informed him I don't believe she was going to because she could've done that in the first place and she made no attempt nor did she tell me she could do that , this is why I requested to speak to a manager. Tony turned to walk away from me, stopped turn back around and looked at me with a very disgusted look and looked at Kimberly and said just go ahead and override it and walked away from me. Once Tony informed me that he authorized for teammate Kimberly to override the coupon in order for me to use it I then purchased a pair of Nike men's Reactx Rejuvan8 shoes. The teammate that assisted me in the shoe department was a young man by the name of Jaquez. The young man in the shoe department was extremely helpful. I did inform him of the treatment that I had received not only from Kimberly, but also the store manager, Tony. Jaquez immediately apologized and asked me if there was anything he could do to further assist me I did ask him for the Customer Service number. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated at this location, especially by the teammate Kimberly with no explanation or any further assistance in regards to the coupon. And the store manager, Tony was extremely condescending and disrespectful when I simply asked reasonable questions and at no time did he offer any suggestions. I believe the only reason he honored it is because of the other customer that stepped up and informed him that she had had the same problem with the same coupon. Got some new football cleats for the stringbean, growth spurt! Mens size 7 wide Nike Alpha black. Under $60 with tax. You go to the Kiosk to "order" a fitting. You have to be closeby. Stringbean tried one pair but it was narrow and low-cut. So, the next one was wide and had more of a high-top feel. Much better. Winner! Nice dudes in the shoe department. Thank you. Well stocked. On Black Friday, they advertised fp movement on sale. I found a few items on the website, however I figured I would stop in store to avoid the shipping charge. When I stopped by early in the morning on black friday, I discovered that the dicks located on Charleston doesn't carry FP movement. The employee explained that the Dicks in Henderson and the strip carry it. I immediately left and headed over to Nordstrom Rack. Nice size store located at the busy intersection of Charleston and Ft Apache on the SE side by Whole Foods. There is a lot of parking, but it entrance to the lot off Charleston can be sticky, so be careful! We stopped in on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy. There were a lot of employees, about 6 in the shoe area alone and 5 at the cashier stand, so plenty of people working. The staff are very young and were not super customer service oriented; the young man "helping" us in shoes asked 4 times what size we needed for the same shoe. When we finally found a pair, we went to the register to pay, and of the 5 young ladies standing at the registers one was ringing out a customer. The others were eating. The one working instructed us to go to register 1 to get help, to which the girl at register 1 got seemingly annoyed because she had to stop eating and wipe her hands to ring us up. I used to come to this Dick's on Charleston all the time for work shoes. My last pairs actually held up really good, so I figured I'd come back and grab some new ones... but wow, today was just a mess. The store had inventory all over the place, looked super unorganized. I couldn't find a single employee to help with shoes. Walked around the shoe area and finally asked someone walking by if anybody was working that section... he pointed at some tablet and told me I had to scan the shoe on there. So now instead of someone helping you, you gotta scan the shoe, pick your size, type in what you're wearing and your name, and hope someone brings it out?? Like I get it, new tech and all but this is just doing too much. What if it was an older person who doesn't know how to use that? The shoe area was trashed. Boxes and random shoes thrown all over the seats, could barely find a spot to sit down and try stuff on. I requested two shoes, only one came out and it didn't fit. Waited around for the other pair and it never showed. Ended up walking out. I don't think I'll come back here again. I get that stores wanna save money, but not everything needs to be a robot or a tablet. Some of us still wanna talk to a real person. Whole experience today just turned me off. The shoe attendants were inattentive and after 15 minutes when I finally got one's attention I was greeted "what do you need", as if it was an immense burden for this guy to have a customer to help. This is my second visit at this locations shoe department. The first time was not great but because of this visit I won't be returning. It's New Year's Eve so we're still in the holiday shopping season. They had two people on the floor. They don't even engage with you until you have scanned the shoe you are requesting into their system. Problem is the system sucks. Gives you an estimate of time that is unrealistic -2 to 3 minutes - to the point I had to ask one of the sales associates for the shoes. Once received because they are so short staffed no one ask if you need another size or other options. Add to that there is not enough seating to even comfortably try them on. I don't blame the sales associates who were friendly and doing the best they can. I blame Dick's for their horrible staffing and lack of customer service. Four associates hanging out at the front of the store when I left. I came home and ordered the shoes from Zappos. Not only were they cheaper but it took a fraction of the time. read more

Dick's Sporting Goods is one of the spots in town to get Las Vegas Aces items (shirts, hoodies, hats), so we usually drop by one of the locations in town just for that reason. The selection can be hit or miss, but I've found a few items that differ from what is sold at Mandalay Bay, where the team has its games. The team items are also cheaper here, so that's always a plus. Dick's also has a good selection of Under Armour, Nike, and Adidas running gear for women. Well after reading the reviews for this store , this was obviously not an isolated incident. Was looking all over for these hoka shoes , i saw they had 1 pair left and they did. It took me a few minutes to get someone to help me. The kid and he was young , came out got the shoe i wanted and disappeared in the back to chin wag with 2 other employees. Didnt offer to fit them ,lace them up or see that i was satisfied, just handed me the shoes and left me there. This is very poor service. It just so happened , i knew exactly what i wanted, so in that regard it was ok. But, seriously,how can you put amateurs on the floor of a multi million dollar business? The service was pathetically inadequate. I imagine there was a time when this company was hungry and professional. But, like many businesses today, they often forget where they came from. I came in this evening to make a purchase. The shoe department was very crowded and I didnt see any workers helping. I saw Tony just walking around the store not helping anyone or doing anything, so I asked him if he could place an online order for me. He asked me for what. Okay. It shouldn't matter. If the item(s) a customer wants isn't in the store, the employees should be offering to place an order online to have the item shipped to the person. I guess Tony didn't get the memo. Since the store didn't have what I wanted in stock at this location, I opted to place an online order in the store in order to obtain my military discount. Tony, the so-called manager on duty, was completely awful. After adding my address and my card information and asking about the military discount, Tony mumbles under his breath that I should have said that at the beginning. Tony just didn't want to give the military discount. Way to show your appreciation for members of the military by treating them like trash. Then, I was told that I couldn't get the military discount because the item was on sale. That's not true. I ALWAYS get a military discount at any Dick's location, whether it's on sale or not. Tony just decided he wanted to do him. So I told him I don't want the order and will place the order at home instead of in the store. Tony submits the order. Then, walks off when I tell him that he submitted the order rather than not submitting it. I drop a lot of money at Dick's. I'm a gold member. I don't appreciate how Tony treated me. Tony was curt, not only with me, but other customers too. With employees like Tony, no wonder you lose sales. Tony treated me like he didn't want to assist me at all. Maybe Tony had a bad day, but that's no reason to be curt with customers and NOT want to do your job. It's customers like me who keep Dick's in business so that Tony and other employees will have a job. Maybe Tony forgot that too!!! If your employees want to discriminate against minority customers, they should be terminated immediately. I've NEVER been treated so poorly at any establishment. I do NOT recommend this Dick's location to anyone unless you find it pleasing to be treated like trash. To the storr manager, you need to have a sit down with Tony and let him know his job responsibilities and how he should be kind to customers. This new DSG store might just be the best in Vegas. This store is pretty big but not as big as a two story store you'd find at a mall-- but they jam pack it full of merchandise. I've never seen any shelf at this store empty or low on merchandise, which is pretty awesome. They always carry the latest and best gear in pretty much every size. And have a huge selection to choose from whether it be gym clothing or aid gear for when you are treating a training injury. They pretty much have everything you'd be looking for, from lawn chairs to footballs, coolers, bikes and so much more. And their customer service is on point. There's always a cashier right up front and you never have to wait long in line. I'm glad to see Dicks open up shop in this area because it means I don't have to drive all the way down a busy LV Strip or Henderson. It's a 2 thumbs way up for DSG! read more

Quiet, chill shopping experience. Walked around here for almost an hour and half. Nobody offered help but once I needed some everyone was friendly and assisted me. Men's apparel has nice selection with more sizes available. Woman's was okay but lacking in some sizes, specially in more lightweight clothes (which it's still over 100 degrees out). Shoes are almost exclusively Nike brand, online the selection is more diverse. I wasn't that impressed with shoe selection to be honest. But this is a smaller store that just opened a few months ago. It is awesome to have a sporting goods store back in Summerlin! When Sports Chalet closed, it definitely left a big hole in this part of town. Store is bright, spacious and well-stocked with tons of outdoor fun ready to be had. The first couple of visits here we had to go through every aisle, checking out everything they had. Noticed they offered in-store bike tuning, baseball glove steaming and racket restringing. Staff seemed absent from floor of store, but registered were filled and moving at a good pace. We just learned about Pickle Ball and found they had an aisle of just what we were looking for. Was going to pick-up a few dumbbells for our son, however they only had 1lb and 10lb stocked at each of our visits. This location is fairly new to the Summerlin area. I stopped by last weekend to look at their elliptical and running machines, none of the employees were eager to offer assistance. Went home did my research, went back today to purchase a machine. Again, no one was eager to help although they saw me. I had to ask for assistance after being ignored, one of the associates who ignored me earlier wasn't friendly and said he doesn't know if the sell them although it was displayed on the floor. I left the store, sat in my car, found it online through the manufacture and ordered it directly. I own my own business and the way you treat your customers is a huge part of your success. I went into the store at about 8:20 pm to possibly exchange a pair of Nike React Fly Knit 3 for a different size. I bought a 9.5 on Sunday and on Monday Night the January 15th, I tried them on for a short run on a treadmill to make sure they fit. I wasn't sure after the short run so I Coby in the shoe department brought me out a size 10. I ended up keeping the size 9.5 and as I was walking out I threw the big in the garbage that I came in with - with the box and the size 9.5 and someone snapped at me ' that is not the garbage' I turned and looked to my right and there was a young girl standing there her name was Yesenia. I said I was sorry I thought it was the garbage. It ended up after I looked at it that it was a plastic box for storage possibly. I apologized again and by the time I went to retrieve it the Manager ( an asian gentlemen) grabbed it and picked it up aggressively and starting walking outside with it to apparently throw it in the trash can outside,. I apologized again and said let me throw that away and he had already gone outside. After that they then questioned me about the box of shoes that I was carrying, saying such things as "did you buy those:" i am was like yes, here is the receipt and they continued to question me like I was stealing and like I was a criminal. The young Lady's name was Yesenia and I said to her you should try being a little more pleasant to customers because good will goes a long way. Coby the shoe salesman was very nice and pleasant. Yesenia and The manager were very abrasive. I have purchased several pair of Nike top of the line running shoes and other apparel there over the years and I don't appreciate being treated that way.
