Nice size store located at the busy intersection of Charleston and Ft Apache on the SE side by Whole Foods. There is a lot of parking, but it entrance to the lot off Charleston can be sticky, so be careful! We stopped in on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy. There were a lot of employees, about 6 in the shoe area alone and 5 at the cashier stand, so plenty of people working. The staff are very young and were not super customer service oriented; the young man "helping" us in shoes asked 4 times what size we needed for the same shoe. When we finally found a pair, we went to the register to pay, and of the 5 young ladies standing at the registers one was ringing out a customer. The others were eating. The one working instructed us to go to register 1 to get help, to which the girl at register 1 got seemingly annoyed because she had to stop eating and wipe her hands to ring us up. Weird behavior but I guess the company is ok with this because it really seemed to be the norm and there were no adults in sight. We'll stick to REI or Amazon for future purchases.

My partner and I ended up stopping by Dick's Sporting Goods, the location in Summerlin, looking for Clifton 9, HOKA shoes, women size 8. REI in Summerlin did not have any in stock, but the Dick's Sporting Goods did! We stopped by here on a Friday evening. The store was relatively busy! Dick's Sporting Goods is a popular retail chain that specializes in sporting equipment, apparel, footwear, and accessories. It also has a wide range of merchandise for sports and outdoor activities such as basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, camping, hiking and much more! This location is off of Charleston/215. There is spacious amount of parking available. Typical operating hours are from 9:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M, except on Sunday which is 10:00 A.M - 7:00 P.M. The team at Dick's Sporting Goods are awesome! One of the team members whom helped us was able to find the Clifton 9, HOKA shoes in inventory. Check-out at the store was a breeze!

Dick's Sporting Goods is one of the spots in town to get Las Vegas Aces items (shirts, hoodies, hats), so we usually drop by one of the locations in town just for that reason. The selection can be hit or miss, but I've found a few items that differ from what is sold at Mandalay Bay, where the team has its games. The team items are also cheaper here, so that's always a plus. Dick's also has a good selection of Under Armour, Nike, and Adidas running gear for women. The staff is always helpful and friendly and we've never had a bad experience with them.

Shockingly disappointed in Dick's today. These shirts are supposed to be on sale for five dollars but dicks has them marked as $40 when I asked what the deal was because I drove to the store just for that reason she told me they're on sale for five dollars but they don't like to tell anybody!!

Finally Open!!!! Located at Boca Park besides Whole food. Took over the old Sports Chalet. Walked around the store to check out what they have. They have pretty much have everything- only disappointed that they have no hockey gears- when I ask the sales rep- noted I have to go to their Fashion Mall location. Also they have very limited VGK gears compare to the other Dick's location in town. Service was great - employees ask me if I needed help multiple occasions.

Very full store with so many items and a friendly assisting staff however I'm not paying $40 for a simple pair of shorts so bye.

After taking a chance and going with friends up to Lee Canyon to just try, I realized I enjoy it enough to invest in my own gear. When shopping for boots, a friend recommended Powder and Sun. I loved how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They were there to answer any questions I had. There was a great selection of boots (and gear overall). I found a pair that not only looked pretty, but was a good fit and on sale. The staff that helped me also let us know that they can heat mold the boots too (which I did). They also are able to wax your boards too for only $25, which I did at the end of the season. When I need new gear or just need to do some maintenance on my board, I know where to go.

Amazing store for dog owners, outdoors people, hunters, fishers, boaters, campers, and more. Great…read moreselection, and great value. It is also a really fun place to visit even if you aren't shopping for anything specific. As a big-dog owner with a Doberman who is a service dog in training, I've now visited this store three times with my dog, and every trip has been fantastic. The store carries a huge variety of outdoor equipment, clothing, hunting and fishing gear, camping supplies, boating equipment, shoes, dog supplies, treats, toys, and more. I especially love the aquariums and taxidermy displays throughout the store--they make it feel more like an experience than just a store. There's also an archery range, outdoor seating, tractors on display, and a beautiful entrance with a wooden bridge over water. **** Why I especially love it for dogs in training**** For dogs that already have their basic commands down and are ready for more real-world exposure, I think this is an excellent environment. There are so many opportunities to practice: * Different surfaces: wooden bridges, smooth floors, carpet, stairs, rocks, etc. * New sights: taxidermy, boats, tractors, aquariums, hunting and camping equipment, and more. * New smells: fish bait, treats, snacks, clothing, shoes, other dogs, and people. (Smelling from a distance ofc, I don't let my dog stick her nose right up in there, that's rude haha) * Loose-leash walking and heeling: It's a large store, so there's plenty of room to practice navigating turns, corners, and aisles. * Down-stays: The many aisles make great opportunities to practice staying calmly while you browse. * Focus around distractions: On busier days, your dog may encounter children, adults, other dogs, and all the other activity that comes with a large store. * Tasking practice: For service dogs in training, it can be a useful environment to practice maintaining focus and performing tasks around distractions. * Confidence building: The variety of sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, and people can provide gentle exposure for dogs who need to build confidence. Of course, I would only recommend bringing dogs that are under control, non-aggressive, and have a reasonable foundation of basic obedience. And always follow the store's current pet/service-animal policies. As someone who can get a little anxious about whether my SDiT is behaving perfectly, I also appreciate how comfortable and welcoming this environment feels. I've had my dog do the occasional "drive-by nose boop" to someone we passed, and instead of feeling embarrassed, I've generally found people to be incredibly understanding and friendly. I've even met fellow big-dog owners and had conversations about Dobermans. One of my favorite moments was when my Doberman suddenly froze and intensely stared down an empty aisle with one paw lifted like she was "pointing" at something invisible. An employee and I both started laughing. **** Great for big-dog owners**** I've found their dog selection particularly useful for larger breeds. Because of the store's focus on outdoor and hunting dogs, I've noticed a better selection of larger-dog equipment than I often find at typical pet stores. They also carry things that can be useful beyond hunting, including scent-training supplies, life jackets for swimming, training equipment, toys, treats, and other gear. I could easily see using many of these products for scent work, dock diving, outdoor adventures, and general training. I also appreciate the selection of dog treats and the ability to find options with ingredients I feel comfortable giving my dog. **** Overall Experience **** The staff have always been friendly, personable, professional, and helpful--and sometimes genuinely funny. There's plenty of parking, and the outdoor area and entrance make the store feel inviting before you even walk inside. I also love that it's open until 10 p.m. on weekdays. To me, Bass Pro Shops feels like more than a store. It's almost like a little mini-world where you can shop, explore, train your dog, and see other people enjoying the store too. I highly recommend this place for hunters, boaters, fishers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts.... but especially for dog owners whose dogs already have a foundation of obedience and are ready for more real-world exposure and distractions.
