There were about 10 employees that I saw. Not one single employee was wearing a mask. This is over a week after the county said masks should be worn indoors again by everyone (not just unvaccinated). I would give 0 stars if I could, I called the store to find out their hours, and drove 45 minutes to get there in time and they closed 15 minutes early. Terrible and rude service. I know nothing about guns/gun laws. My company is going sport shooting this weekend and I thought I would buy ammo to be prepared for my share. Went to dicks not knowing what to do or how long it could take. Dicks is a good name because the people there are dicks. What I assume was the manager was insulted and belittled my boyfriend and I for not knowing the details of the current gun laws. He did not bother to offer any knowledge or try to educate us about guns laws or assist us toward our goals but simply scoffed at us for our lack of knowledge. We were inconvenience for attempting to spend our money at their store. Noted. We will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. On that note, we will be happy to travel to San Jose to the Bass Pro Shop as they have always been kind and knowledgeable with any of our questions. Plus they have a bar and bowling. I don't know why this place gets such bad reviews, I ordered gym equipment online and picked up at store without any problem. I got assistance as soon as I entered and greeted to top it off, also was asked multiple times if i have been helped or needed help while I waited for equipment to be brought to the entrance of the store. Store employee helped me carry equipment to my car. I don't think this place is as bad as people say, I have no problem coming back to this location. One of the worst experiences. Be warned, if you purchase shoes at this location and wear them just ONCE, they will not return them without a fight. I purchases running shoes one week ago and wore them ONCE to the gym. They were hurting my feet so I decided to return them. Once in the store, I was told by the person in charge of the shoe department that since they were worn outside, they WERE NOT returnable. Where else to you wear shoes???? I had the original receipt, box, paper liner, shoe tags and shoe inserts that with the shoes when I purchased them. I was told to contact the manufacture. I asked for the store manager and was told "it's common knowledge that once shoes are worn outside that they cannot be returned" Sorry, that is not common. I and my family have returned athletic shoes without any problem in the past. Thanks Sports Authority!!! Decent selection and prices but zero service of any kind. You never see employees walking the floor so good luck if you are looking for a particular shoe size! If you happen to encounter an employee, your polite "excuse me" will be replied to with a rude "YES" or "YEAH". Great customer service! All the young men who work there went out of their way to greet us, ask us if we need help, and also talk to my son about where he plays football and what position etc. A huge thanks to Sal who took the time to search the back for football cleats too, after we were told there was only one style left. If you're looking for footwear, be sure to speak to someone that works in that department specifically. I've been looking for a new driver and have been trying out the various models at golf course pro shops and Golf Galaxy. I finally decided I would make a choice between the last 2 drivers on my list but I needed to try them out one more time before buying. Since I live in Morgan Hill I decided to go to Dick's. It took me about 10 minutes to find someone to help me in the golf department. The employee then told me they don't allow customers to test the drivers anymore and they don't even have the launch monitor in their demo room. He said "Would you buy a driver that had been previously used?" I said that's what demo clubs are for and I wouldn't spend $500 on a driver without trying it. I left and went to Cinnabar Hills golf course and tried out the 2 drivers I had on my list. I ended up buying the Callaway Mavrik at the same price the Dick's had. (BTW the staff at Cinnabar were very helpful with setting up the clubs with different shafts for me to try and dialing in the other adjustments.) read more

I entered the store around 7PM seeking certain items I planned on giving as holiday gifts. There were no associates to be found in any department. I'm not sure if there was a meeting going on or if they were closed? I did see some items that caught my eye but no one was at the registers either. Don't waste your time in this store. Staff is not so great. Very young and unwilling to help. Wanted to look at and buy a recumbent bike. None on display. Only in boxes in the back. They wouldn't let me see it or give me any information about the bike. Just said it was only available to buy sight unseen. Basically told me to look at the website. I called Dick's Sporting Goods at Morgan Hill, They do not have Recumbent Bike in stock. They send me to Sunnyvale, that store has one in stock. On 4/8/2017 I went to Sunnyvale bought the bike but forgot the mat. On 4/8/2017 afternoon, I went to this Morgan Hill store to buy "Recumbent Mat". The store does not have the mat in stock. The sales associate was very nice, he helped me to place the order from store computer and he told me it will deliver to home by Wednesday. Somehow the computer he used did not accept 'h' letter but my e-mail is Hotmail. So the associate use the store e-mail store1262@dsg.net to place my order. Which means I'll never receive any order status or confirmation. Today (4/12) is Wednesday and now is in the evening. I've not received any confirmation or tracking number. Luckily after I paid, I used my phone took a snap shot of my order from the monitor screen. This evening I called Morgan Hill store, ask for the status of my order. The girl who answered the phone does not know anything and not willing to help. I ask one question she put me on hold. On and off I was on the phone for about 20 minutes. Finally she told me to call customer service the number she gave me is 1-866-677-4771. I asked her is the customer service is still available she reply: YES. Totally waste me 20 minutes. After I hang up with her, I call the customer service of course they are "CLOSED". I'll never go back to this store again. read more

I went in on December 17 to buy futsal shoes for my son with the coupon they sent me in the mail. When I got to the checkout the line was way too long and I couldn't wait since we had to get to my daughter's concert. After coming back from vacation yesterday I went into the store again today to use the $10 off coupon but they refused to honor it saying it had expired on December 24. In the end, I bought the same shoes on Amazon for $13 less than the advertised price at Dick's (Samba Adidas futsal shoes for $36.99 on Amazon instead of $49.99 in Dick's). I was also going to buy the Underarmor shirt in Dick's for $29.99 and was able to get that for $24.88. So in the end I did save $18 by not shopping at Dick's at all and I am glad that I walked out in disgust at their lack of holiday spirit. read more
